This is a very brooding piece. Reminds me of Godspeed you! Black Emperor. Love the guitar on this. Strings and sound effects really add to the atmosphere. Great cinematic track, it would not have sounded out of place on the score for Apocalypse Now.
Hi BullittVolante, thanks! I've checked out some scene about where the helicopters line up with music on YT, I cannot remember seeing Apocalypse Now, at all (I watched a lot of American films as a kid). I totally understand what you mean. It's a big compliment. I think it took me so long because I was searching Godspeed you!, then got logged out or distracted and forgot again to reply. My memory is not always the best lol. Some comments under the clip are really crazy, but that's todays modern world. People who never been there etc., who can type... it makes me laugh and cry at the same time.
This, I really like. The sparse drums, the synths, the sound effects. It conjures up all sorts of different scenarios whilst your listening to it. It's minimalist, but very effective and holds your attention. A great ambient piece and my only complaint would be that it was over to soon. Excellent track Paperkup.
The evocation of places I know, things I've seen real or in a dream. Which? For it matters not. You crafted a spell and I'm going to contact my local witch finder general as soon as I get around to it.
Hello PaperKup, very relaxing ambient piece you've put together my friend....love the soft piano interaction with the effects, its perfect ear tonic, hats off to RichardS as well.
Hi glennwhite6504, thanks. I'm glad you like the piano - with all that's going on in the background. Absolutely, Richard does a great job, I'm normally very pleased with the outcome. Thanks again
Hi AnthonyAttard, thanks for the listen and your feedback. I really liked that poem track you made. Somehow it hit a deep nerve, it has inspired/ encouraged me to do something similar.
This is a beautiful piece of music. It reminded me of a mixture of Mogwai, God Speed You! Black Emperor and Mono. Great use of reverb. Very haunting at times. There were a couple of issues with sound/peaks etc, but this didn't ruin the listening experience at all. Overall, an excellent track.
I liked your idea that led you to this music, feels like cinematic because it can create messages. Some issues with your sound, at least to my system there were peaks that altered the sound after the first half of your theme. Minor things. I liked your song, beautiful mix by Richard.
Best regards, Anthony
Hi AnthonyAttard, yes probably the plugins couldn't handle doing more than they should. Maybe the gain was too high as well. On the one track. I used about 3 different reverbs I think(at the same time, on the four tracks). One of them is very very hungry on cpu when combined with the others. I'm an "end user" to these products. Thanks for pointing it out, maybe and hopefully just a case for a little gain reduction or similar.
Hello PaperKup, tracks such as this can occupy my time for hours, its a beautiful arrangement and mixed well by RichardS......very nice cinematic piece.
Hello PaperKup, enjoyed this track very much, like the melancholy feel, the strings of course are very front and center and make the track pretty interesting as well......nice work.
I really loved the sound design on this. Moody and really gripping.
Makes me think it would fit perfectly in a older movie where some guy has existential crisis while driving in deserted town at night.
Amazing work PaperKup, truly amazing work.
Hello PaperKup, this sounds like a beginning of something pretty interesting, I want to think theres more to come.....a lot of possibilities, just sayin
Hi glennwhite6504, thanks for the listen and comment. Yes, I agree, there is always more to take away or add in it's place. Music can be versatile in that way. Thanks again, I've taken note
