I think there's some great ideas in there. To me it needs the bass a little more up front to anchor it or else periods with a more steady drum beat. Plus I felt like I was waiting for the drop after the intro that didn't quite come. But there's some beautiful dynamics in there and I like the track. I'll be interested to see how it devellops. Whew I don't generally critique to that level, I must like the track!

Hello JohnMatteson, very good guitar filled track....it's got that live club feel with the pounding percussions and reverb heavy atmosphere, good job.

love the way it is built (the accoustic guitar, the drum, the voice). Great track really, we can feel you had fun to put it all together with your drumming pal!

A nice loose blues feeling. You could potentially tighten it up a bit (and maybe speed it up, ZZ Top style?) but this is already very pleasant and a great jam!

I smiled when I heard this - it sounds a bit psychedelic. I found myself imagining that you could smell the eucalyptus as you swang - that would make it a very heady experience indeed! The lyric 'But You Lord still stand true, I still can put all my trust in You' is genuis. If you think about how we get swept up and blown about by life, just like you in that tree, that lyric is even more potent. Christmas wishes to you Kay & Oli

I can certainly understand the thought and intention of a song like this, Ive
done my fair share of them. My old lady cant handle it if i go too long without composing something for here these days, and this has given me an idea for that. Thank u for that, and well done, as well.

I really like this. I always love hearing acoustic numbers and your harmonies and melodies are excellent. Very well recorded too, crisp and clear.

nice track John, great guitar, vocals are always on point as is the playing, you know i'm not a religious soul but today, i offered up a prayer to the fallen dead, its remembrance Sunday, lest we forget, we all want peace, will we ever get it, i very much doubt, i know what to expect when i press play, i listen because you always bring positive, i dont need to be religious to enjoy your work, well done again brother

It sure sounds rock John, I would say it is pure rock sound. Your solo guitar playing is what makes the song so beautiful, it is rather simple but clearly rock. I liked it a lot. I hope you find the right collaboration for the song to be completed .
