the guitar and keys add some nice funk sound to it but it could use a ride cymbal, that'd be nice to hear. The drums technically sound jazz except for the tambourine, tambourines aren't a main element of jazz percussion.
you´re right but it´s also listed in the description and the fusion genre didn´t exist at the upload date...anyway i don´t care about genres
thx for reviewing and listening
Groovy daddyo. Makes me think of a smoky basement club in the late 50's & early 60's. Avantgarde pictures painted on the walls. Beatniks filling the room. Poetry reading in 20 minutes. Cool track man. Moke
Hi Robert...I was just passing by and noticed the review by truththeory..well everyone's entitled to their opinion I guess...but calling your track garbage is so totally at odds with the reality, that I'm of the opinion that there must be something wrong with his hearing...it's the only feasible explanation....a great shame that he doesn't have any of his own work uploaded for public scrutiny.....anyway for what it's worth I think this track is first class....cheers planet
thanks David but you´re totally wrong,we have to take this for serious because he´s someone who knows a lot about rhythm, counterpoint or harmony theory (take a look at his name) and his detailed information means that i have to change the genre from fusion to garbage......those people never publish their own compositions but help musicians to develop their own style and creativity.....must be a famous teacher or a student of Arnold Schönbergs harmony literature
This is very much in your vein of unusual material and cool fusions of sound. Love odd meters too. Don't use them so much because I am such a fan of the backbeat, but I love the way they sound and how the accent beat is constantly changing. I have come to expect this type of result with the work you produce and I have yet to be let down (nor do I believe that I ever will be.) Very strong. Peace, Six
Wow!.....this would be very hard to play without screwing up!.....this time signature is great!!!!most folks don't stray too far from the old 4/4.....which is a shame as this track demonstrates it just catapults you into a whole new dimension of sound and grooves...fantastic timbre of the synth...real fusion music....you are like a music teacher, every time I listen to a new track of yours I learn something......super cool composition Robert!.......cheers planet
Hi rob, This is such a cool track. The rap is sweet, and the bass is wonderful ( it's a joy to listen to a bass being played so well). Production and arrangement 10/10. Cheers Slap...
So cool to hear authentic Jazz being played outside America. This is phenominal stuff. You and your band are the real deal and have a fantastic sound and super chops. Thank you for sharing with everyone, Six
Great goodies from all of you, just that, ,You people are all stunning,I have heard nothing but creative pathways..A super good way to hear this brilliance at once and learn man , and I have been challenged and excited like never before this is incredible, I am willing to work in any way you ask..
Fusion is right...the guitar entrance pushes this even higher up the pay scale..just enough looseness within the groove to make it magic...by the time the flute synth hits...I'm high....this sort of music always inspires me...cheers planet
i love this track. simply put its amazing. keep on keeping on even though i know you probably will. i really like the synth sounding instrument near 2:25 its pretty cool and mixes well with the others. chilled me the f*** out!!! thanks
Very tight arrangement...this is sooo cool...reminds me of a spider spinning it's web...full of experience and thought..with great execution...got to dl this....cheers planet
