I loved the vibe of this song. My favorite was the vocals. Excellent. Loved listening to this one. It was live too. That's impressive.

Everyones entitled to their oppinion. And everyones entitiled to their own imagination. And that is where you have lots of skill. Nice creation. Even if it is unclassifiable. To me it sounds like a good horror film Soundtrack. Good job on the overall effectiveness. Very eerie.

Not for the light-hearted....I pass that test so I can like it. Got a bit repetitive, but who cares. The ending totally turned that around, despite it being similar.

Good track

Cool tune. I really like the rhythm, it's more complex than what I usually hear. Don't worry - I don't include melodies often too...:)

Hi Boson,
Just getting to review one of your tracks since you just did one of mine.
I picked this song as I like to hear what live bands do.
Sounds pretty good to me. Sounds like a female singer in the background? Just a little hard to hear the vocals so I couldn't really hear the words. Sounds like a tune that might go over on a Goth type bar.
My daughter is a DJ in one and doesn't want me to go there. Ha Ha probably cause I wouldn't enjoy it and she wants to spare me the agony.

Anyways, great to hear a live sound,
Randy

Hehe...cool Boson...I think you've got a great voice!...yeah ..your right..I can't pick the 'real strings sample'..but then who could since you've squeezed it through 'Impulse' or Camel Space or some such weirdness....it works very well as your on top of the rhythm the whole time.....This isn't weird though..George Bush patting himself on the back..that's weird...cool work!...planet :)

on weep with the wanting by Lux Divon by bosonHavoc
When i first started listening to this, i was expecting it to build up, then burst out, never did, which first i always reject cause im a power head type, but after continuing to listening that familiar groove in many songs registered, and i focused on it, the vocals, and the non- break out was relaxing, reassuring, the kind of music that helps me release stagnation, purge negitivity for my brain. really like the souly, type feel to the vocal style and the lurking non invasive key board backing FX. The overall feeling of the song to me was kind of sardonism of a subject or a proclamation of some kind of irony or stating somthing blatently obvious that seems to go compleley over the majoritys head, thats just the feeling i got with out really paying alot of attention to the lyrics good tune not my bag of chips, but the purvaence of emotion is pretty good!

sweet review thanks :D

i just dropped a recording track into ableton to record the master track while my girl and i were jamming.. thats the main reason it doesnt really go anywhere.. i do that when we practice alot.. and sometimes i upload it to here
i'll keep in mind the effect that that it had on you when we go back and prep this for performance

DUDE, the scene in Austin and the scene in Olympia must be a lot alike lol...

I love it! A live experimental DnB Indie band?!? Get the Bucket outta here?!?! lol...

Yah despite the recording quality and some iffy moments vocally (which ... i think actually Helped the cause lol...) this is an AWESOME TRACK!

woulda been fun to get drunk and dance too!
Love it!

that vox hypnotize me.., i think you could add a change or add a vox solo and then volume up the song only with the bassline or hats, at the same time use the last word of a phrase to make emphasis with a deep echo.. nice track mazing scrath.. schüss

cool, thanks for the input..
it will be some time before this goes to final mix
it has to mature on stage first :)

on weep with the wanting by Lux Divon by bosonHavoc
Damn she can sing.
It's like.. Lux Divon meets Massive Attack... kinda.....

what do you use for scratching??? if i can ask?
(I saw a couple free vst's... but just curious)

How come all the rhythm/synths is focused on the left? The panning kind of bugged me..
(I always use headphones, and I am noticing a lot of the air frequencies are on the left speaker)
Not on her vocals .... the randomish panning was AWESOME.. AND SHE CAN SING!!!!! WOW....
"Tear me open" that is just... creepy....
And then you proceed to tear the track apart. (in a great way!)
I sooo wish you could upload at a higher bitrate too.....

DUDE, i sooooo cannot wait for her mac.
bosonHavoc
bosonHavoc replied Unknown
thanks bro,

i didnt do any panning on purpose .. i'll have to look into that... it could be a resualt of the supre low quality mp3 i used so the track would be under 8 meg... or maybe something else.. kinda of odd lol.

donky shin :)

o ya the scratchin was a sample that i was turn on and off and sening to delay.... for the final track i'll have my friend record in some scratching.... not sure what i;m going to do live though... i really like the scratching but i dont know if i want to use a sample of scratching on stage.
i started practicing scratching on my friends decks last night hehehe... its something i could really get into ... bah but more gear to buy plus carry though :( lol

The bass and kick are awesome! Never listened to any of LuxDivon but I think I should listen more! But it is very repetitive, very, I am not sure really what you could do to make better though, maybe snares? OHHH!!! I only had my subwoofer on, not my other speakers.... still sounded great without the high ends. The vocals are really cool and so is the scratch sound.

Great track!

thankss man,
ya this track is real new.. i finally decided on a tempo fo rit lol.. i wrote it at 140 bpm the slowed it down to 116 then up to 127 then down to 70 and i liked that the best lol... but we decided on a gradual tempo increase to 116 an if i drop it back to 70 just right it sounds sick.

i'm excited to get this song devolped.. i love carries vocals on it...

cheers
