thanks man!!
some pads would be totally sick thanks for the advice...
this actually didnt take much work lol
i sliced up a Hoffman speech and sliced up a sick drum loop from DeadCome (of looperman).
i set my pads up with the slices then played a synth with it.. it was all done in 1 take and in real time. this is a total performance track.
i like dropping ideas here.
it reminds me to go work on them and i get some assume advice for further development.
The bow on the bass adds so much to the song. Love it. And she has a wonderfull voice. You do a style of music together that's so smooth and relaxing. Yet doesn't sound old. Sounds fresh and new. Love your stuff. Nice keys too.

great skill on this track! i love this one too. im goin to have to pay more attention to what you put out from now on! it would be even better if you put a crazy DnB section in there 1/4 way through to liven it up and get people absoutely hooked!
From what institution I don't know..........very frenzied, I'm sort of thinking this would be a great breathing track between sets...Ableton is such a cool tool..the only thing I'd like to change would be to arc up the footsteps.....cheers planet
What has to be said...any live performance is a great achievement on many levels just in itself...no hesitation,no safety net,no turning back...apart from being a great song it was performed with passion..the vital ingredient for so many things........was there any visual additions to the performance(lights etc)?....I'd love to be at one of your shows...cheers planet
in the words of planet nothing beats a live show!
i check out the last one so i will check out this one :D
btw ledgend has been played wayyy to much since i downloaded it :P
very soothing i like it alot
i still love her voice! and love the bass and piano in this one
Great performance...I like the mix and the levels...great arco....was this recording taken off the desk or an up front mic?....nothing beats a live show!...rock on !....cheers planet
a bit of both.. Road House Rags is a local vintage clothing store owned by an Audio Engineer who loves to record live music... we punched left/right from the computer, D.I. of the upright, 2 over heads and Vox.... he did an on the fly mix straight down to 1 stereo wave file... then i did a quick master convert to mp3 then upload...
i'm booking a show their like every month or 2 so we can hear our progress.... this was our first successful live performance with ableton live (our last try faild because i grabbed the wrong cat 5 cable lol.. so we just played acoustic)
he couldn't give me a return so i couldn't sample Lux's Vocals.. so i'm going to start bringing my board and doing all the mixing and routing then i can just give the front of the house a left/right from the board and my Upright Bass D.I. split.
i've done sound for bands like ours and thats how they did it.. that seems to work best.
Hell most of the time i'm doing my own sound anyway lol

I was chatting with DJ vex about CRAZY time signatures and drumb and bass.
I am hella-naive apparently.
Some pads over this please? completely not on the beat just pure fucking FRYING balls acid pads over this?
Would tie in nicely with the rhythm extravaganza.... Bad ass
This toook a lot of work.
I like it.
I also wrote an ode to Albert Hoffman.. it's not on the site tho...
