I just had to go and read your profile page (again) FR...and its been well worth the read every time so far..haha...and about the music.....I know squat about DnB so I`m just listening...(my body would hurt too much if I tried dancing to it on a Monday morning)...its got big fat production values and I note that you hit it hard with the limiting that seems to be a common part of the genre...I can tell you were having fun doing this one....it was a fun listen too (woke me right up)......Ed
Yeah, it's probably about time i updated that profile page as those jokes are pretty darn old now.
As for the track i'm glad you listened to it but i have a better version that i've been trying to upload for about an hour and a half. It's really winding me up now!
Anyway, thank you for playing my row of a tune, i know it's not really your thing so that makes it that little bit more special.
FR
Glad you enjoyed it. I have a better version but the site is being a wanker and wont let me upload it.
Ah well i'm glad you enjoyed this version of it and i'll be over to check out more of your work soon.
FR
Cool vocal samples, energy galore, pounding drums, I am now officially awake! I like it man, the effects and panning you used make it interesting to listen to on my headphones. It's fun and it gets me pumped up. Cool bass, very cool bass!
Thanks man. I'm actually really p***ed off because i've updated this track but for some reason the site wont let me replace this version.
Never had this problem before but anyway thanks as always for listening Wayne.
FR
Yeah i didn't realize i'd made it so long because i don't often do drum and bass so i got a bit carried away with it, because i liked the riff.
I'm glad you found the time to listen to it (even if it did p*ss you off after 3 minutes lol)
FR
Yeah, I like to keep things simple. It's a tried and tested format. I have actually updated it but for some reason the site won't let me upload it right now.
Cheers for stopping by.
FR
Yeah, kind liquid d'n'b, with that bass. Liquid d'n'b is a term I like.
I'd like to make some liquid metal, actually. Must remember to try that!
This is fairly heavy and uptempo but also pretty damn chilled. Uplifting stuff.
0:51 like it when piano enters.
Classic d'n'b breaks sit well not doing a lot but I guess they don't need to when they're good.
Fading of drums on 1:50 works well. They just become a pulse that you feel but almost don't quite hear. Still keeps the groove working, though.
I'm hard to please but would have liked a different drum break to come back in on 2:32 when the beat returns. Just would have been more of an interesting shock rather than a straight return to what we've already had.
The track's really all built around one idea, with that bassline. And then there are the higher end flourishes and slight weirdness that work well.
So, some sort of other change would have been cool but I'm hardly complaining and neither will many other people.
Check my track Into The Out There as it's kind of related to this (not d'n'b but it is fast) with its liquid bass and uptempo drums. I think it'll interest you and you'll see the link between this one and that.
yeah i agree it's pretty repetative. I would have liked to have done more with the vocals but that track is on a lap top which has since passed away so it's not going to be updated in a hurry.
I just thought i'd feature it again to see if i could bump my stats up a bit as i've not been on the site much in recent months and i want to get more involved again.
I'll be checking out more of your stuff for sure.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
FR
Slick mix here FR.
I know it musta been tricky getting the timing right on some of these elements. Nice use of the various sound FX , panning and filters. I love the drop around 3:50 and the following groove section.
Got the head bobbing really good on this one man.
Seems like forever I have been off the site, but have so many new tunes to listen too and review, didn't know if would like this one when it first started, but so glad I did continue, man this is one very different but brilliant track, minette's work a treat in this piece, really love the strings working along with the vocals, does it for me, very nice piece, adding to fav's dude, so sorry not been here of late...stay well friend...PLR...Mosaic....
No worries, I haven't been on the site much myself lateley but i'm hoping to get more involved again once i've got some tracks done that i'm happy with.
Cheers for dropping by and leaving your thoughts.

Damn, this reminds me of some bad times in clubs. This is very powerful stuff and some of the kind of music that would really drill into my head in darkened clubs late at night.
Lots of metallic sounds going on here.
1:12 spoken words are a bit of a surprise. Feel like they probably need some reverb. They certainly jump out at you.
I have no idea why you mentioned Robbie Williams. As you have, I'll say I'd like to hear a remix of one of his tracks done in exactly this style. That would be weird.
Based on the other comments, I think we all know what this reminds us of. Dark, moody club. And almost certainly a lot of drugs involved. Not for me, but certainly for some.
I should add that's it well produced. Otherwise, I find it a bit hard to analyse and appraise.
My fave sound is 4:27 insane note that just keeps going and going. Is that just one hardware synth note plus various knob twiddling?
Ends a bit abruptly!
Is that the club's sound system being switched off and the lights coming on?
Sorry for the tardy reply. I've been meaning to get more involved with the site for a while but haven't been able to actually finish any tracks. I thought i'd better drop by and catch up with the folks who have been kind enough to listen to some of my stuff, so thanks for the review and ideas.
FR
This is super cool! Just the right amount of bounciness, and loads going on to keep my interest! Your choice of sounds is perfect for the style! I'm going to fave and DL this one, maybe line it up for loopradio.net! Thanks for the cool track!
The vocals were good. But with them only being used in the one spot, they almost seem they don't belong. It would be neat to hear them chopped and used throughout the entire track. That's my only thing with it. Other than that, I really dig it, man. Especially how all of the synths have a metallic resonance that make you want to give your brain a tetanus shot. Good work, man.
What makes it great is that you've considered every second of this and worked it with so much care and attention. Best drop for months - at 1:28 you actually start feeling yourself coming up...:) Whoosh ;0
...Until the end, when the cops seem to burst in and switch the lights on.
Whoa, I wasn't sold on this track until the break and the following build up, holy crap that's potent! The panning and mixing sound great in that build! It is kind of a flashback to like 2004 or something I think for me, but that may not be accurate so don't quote me on that, I'll just say that it seems like a different life. Thanks for the comfortably disturbing recollections! Faved for sure!
Cheers Spiv.
I've not been finishing any tracks recently and this is the first one i've (sort of) made it to the end with so i figured i might as well post it.
Glad you could stop by for a listen.
FR
Bangin techno mate, not really my thing but the production sounds spot on! Even on my in-earphones!! Its quite dark as I'am listening to it again, it doesn't swing both ways not like that other p$*%k I am glad to say!! Nice mate!
Ha ha! It's about the only track i've finished for ages so i thought i might as well post it. I've been a bit lacking in inspiration and techno doesn't require much effort, so techno it is.
Anyway cheers for dropping in and leaving comments on this piece of cock custard.
FR
Chased haha great description! I feel that for sure :D Mix sounds good to me. Downward we spiral as we're being chased by.... that just adds to feeling of fear no knowing what is chasing us 3:) Love it! Great track here! You should fade out the end instead of just stopping, My only suggestion here.
Yeah it does kind of stop pretty abruptly. I'll probably play around with it a little more before i move on to the next one.
Thanks for dropping by and leaving your thoughts on the track.
FR
Hey man, how ya been? Glad your back putting up some tunes. Really dig this. I like how the song seems to attack, the synths are very aggressive(to steal another reviewer's word) and they give that great feeling of intensity, like a feeling of being chased in a movie. Welcome back!
Hey Wayne. Hope you're all good?
I've been quietly observing from the sidelines for a while, so i thought it was probably time i posted something and this is the first track i've finished for ages.
Thanks for dropping by an giving it a listen.
It's good to hear from you.
FR
Thanks. I don't actually rate it all that much if i'm honest. It's just the first track i've sort of completed in a while.
Thanks for dropping in and lending your thoughts.

Your tracks are still amongst the most powerful ones here to me, my dear N !! I'm so glad you're back !
Laughed at your words about Robbie, your descriptions also are inimitable !
I'm not a techno fan but listening to your track was a pleasure as you constantly titillate the listener's interest.
Very nice listening . Perfect to start the week with .
Thanks a lot my friend,

Yeah i'm going to move away from techno as i probably make far too much of it. It some how means that little bit more when someone goes out of their comfort zone to listen to a track.
Thanks for stopping by Carole and leaving your thougts as always.

Thanks. As DJSLKUK said, it's not particularly original but i'm stuck in the late 90's as it was a good time in my life.
Cheers for dropping by and lending your ears.

I wasn't sure about uploading this as i did it all on headphones so the mix probably isn't right but hey ho.
Glad you could drop by and leave your thoughts on the track.
