simmerdown

11 plays 11 comments and 16 downloads - a strange combination indeed. This is great track - if u are ever interested in collaborating on some dubs/reggae I would like to work with you on something

This is an excellent piece of music, as has already been made quite clear by others.

I haven't heard of you before on here so this is a nice surprise.

Bass is extremely cool and busy, with a great tone. Vocals are haunting and return just at the right time.

The subtle guitar might even be the nicest touch in this haunting, sensual, moody piece.

My only complaint is the percussive loop work. It's good and very effective but also feels too loud at times. Just mixing its level it in and out a bit more would help a lot.

Big congrats!

Dude! Not seen you about on the loop so i thought i'd look you up and give one of your tracks a jam. This is ace, I rate Shawn Lats vocals anyway and you've done a great job creating your own track out of that pella. Love the scratching sounds and the dub vibe. Nice clean mix and great bit of organ playing. It's got a nice live feel to it as well as a pile of cool efx.
I'm glad i dropped by to listen to this jam.

yes.
yes, yes, yes!
i loooooooove this groove. THIS is the kind of stuff i dream about singing on. your bass is beyond naughty; it takes full command of this song and the listener. mixing is top notch.
instant fav...kudos!

Bro, this is hot!! Mellow track but it keeps moving. A ShawnLat killed it with the slow flow. Madd Props!!

Intricate piece of work you have simmer! i haven't really listened to more of your stuff since my "enigma" days on here. like the deep darkness you have in this. great ambience with just the right sounds. suspenseful and keeps you on your toes. nice one. peace be with you!

not normally a hip hop fan, but this is a standout track for me. awesome stuff dude

Smooth and cool track. :)

ya always connect the strangest dots, smmr - the rasta + aztec calender + paul ryan connection has never been more apparent - super-pac dub powers

This is awesome Smmr! I love the mix of varied influences in this piece which are brilliantly crafted together.

Totally tripped and chilled out to this my friend. Downloaded for future r,n,r moments. Great work indeed!

I like how you put it down on this track. Very nice work.

This is something else, I like it. Kind of has that de la soul vibe to it or better yet, Del the funky homo. I dig it bruh.

what long wires you have, smmr (and i refuse to say 'the better to probe us with' so forget that) - remarkable thawing of frozen texts - tremendously rewarding music of depth and distance - i miss my little cat, Mir, she was a real space station - full-on respect brother

The end of the world transmission? Very cinematic glitch elements in this piece that swirl along enigmatically and beautifully!

An excellent suspense laden piece, that has wonderfully ambient qualities to make the listener simply drift away into another world of consciousness!

Totally into this my friend in a very big way! Thanks for sharing. Downloaded instantly! Amazing work.

like your production and every thing sounds mixed nice, wish i could get all my tracks to sound clean like this.

It's not that often that you hear a piece of music that is actually artistic - so thanks for the nice surprise! :)

As the others have commented, this is definitely on the trippy side of things - great atmosphere throughout, love the vocal chant and the didgeridoo (such a versatile instrument! lol)

I'm off to do some peyote and fly with the tea cups! :D

were you smoking DMT with the aboriginals....or am I (but I'm so tripped out that I'm hallucinating I'm in my room listening to music in looperman)??. In other words... David Lynch should call you for soundtrack work. Now.

hah, no cake form cuz i already ate a hippopotamus for lunch & this is trippy without smoke filled lungs.. i can only imagine...nv

well, headphones may provide some protection - it's good you gave that warning. me, i'm dumb enuff to plug the computer into a gtr amp and i need go peel my stunned neighbors off the street - a mag feat of daring Digeridoo (that is such a dumb comment - i did not say that).
Floored and uplifted as always, smmr

Yes, trippy it is! These are some strange sounds man! Digeridoo adds a lot! Never thought of using a bucket as a sound element, but it works! I like how you used the vocals, they're like a crazy chant! Great work man!

Man...this is one perfect laid back piece of listening for this Wed night smmr...just one of those grooves that pulls you in & carries you along....really well done....Ed

this is a very good one. I really like the drums in this one, especially the extra percussion that flows in and out. The bass haha well its got a personality of its own even apart from the rest of it. its brilliant, and the whole track is much more than the sum of its individual parts. very good. I see you play the bass, which I can tell from listening to this. its expert level track!

DAMN.
this is some really tasty dub dudes. i stood up after the bass came back in with the piano close to the end of the song, that was effin awesome. this right here is gonna be a looperman classic, on a jah know tip. more instrumental dub from yall please.
