hello, Elaine! BB has lots of sound commentary, but i think this belongs to a pretty well-developed school of funk/rnb/blues that jams the ##### out of that one chord progression. like at 1.25 where this reaches its stride. true to yr description this is a positive vibe and it’s awful nice to see ya.
There are very few songs that manage with only one chord progression. Generally you'll have one for a verse and another for a chorus; you might have a prechorus and a bridge too. In some cases an intro or outro again may have a variation.
Obviously they should all be somewhat related, and if you feel it's not necessary then you don't, it's your music after all, but listen to what your favorite artists do. Often a bit of a difference keeps the listener more interested :)
It's very funky, so I like it! :)
The bass loop is great, but it's now everywhere throughout the track. You could consider to give the "do it right" portion a different bass (maybe a 5th lower?) or maybe the part from 1:00. That way you get a bit of breathing room for the listener.
But lovely stuff!
I guess I never thought about how the bass may be a bit repetitive because of the vibe that the vocals create on the track, but thanks for listening and giving feedback.
I remember when I first met you, and you wrote this song made that made me imagine it was about this kid that was selling counterfeit baseball cards lol
This kinda feels like the 10 years after song. But except this time he is in the club vetted out in 80s gear sniffing out the scene. He is back to his old antics.
I do hope covid hasn't ##### you up as much, as it did me. You were a good friend, and I miss you dude.
You weren't kidding when you chose "fusion!" I'm digging the blues-hop vibe, with a taste of eighties reggae and new wave... or at least that's what I'm hearing, ha ha. I guess there are some major funky passages too, and that's cool. Very nice duet style on the vocals, with a good balance. Groovy old school vibes are to be heard here, and I've enjoyed it much! Thanks for sharing! Fave!
Holy #####... we still haven't done a collab with those funky basslines! This is so Daft Punk esc, and I have a French House track with those sick vocoders in it. I'm in love with this.
eshar you've got the flow! can i use this track on a dental video? this would be a short film of a training we had las week from a dental implant company
I`m enjoying this one eshar...(nice to hear our friend Joe lay down some vocals too)...I have attempted to get a funk mix together a couple of times (really like the genre) but I seem to screw it up each time....This one is good, perhaps it will get me motivated to try again.....well done...Ed
Thanks for listening and for the positive comments.
Everything was loops so to speak lol. That's the downside with Drums in that it can be time consuming to come up with a more natural sounding drum track.

Is it a loop?
Guitar is simply "perfect".
I like how you integrated the vocal line.
Drum is the only part I am not too fond of.
Overall: very funky, very good, I liked it a lot!
Thanks for sharing it with us!
Ciao, Domenico
