We linger on, the mountains - we used to climb -- we linger

Take a chance on being who you are authentic be it plain (or just) bizarre
Let the world -- see just how you shine, you are unique and you are fine

Old beliefs-- that might hold you back are windows made to break, until
you find the beauty that shines through meanings you’ll fulfill

We are climbing higher, higher...stars below us… find us oh divine...

And the uncertainty of light I linger on the memory of mountains that we’ve climbed
And rage against the walls of glass beside us as we fight to find the opening to take us

I agree with Ed (Tumbleweed). Track has a nice feel to it. I like your melody ideas a lot. Definitely evokes Abba. I happen to like Abba. Instrumental backing needs work. Needs a good bass part to set the foundation. Generally, it has too much going on in the high frequency range and it competes with the vocals. Also, the various instruments aren't really distinct in the mix. I think this is partly a question of how the mix has been constructed, but also might be attributable to the arrangement.

The track has a lot of promise, actually. I think you have an ear for melody. That's really important.

Nice to get props for my melody. Yeah, I hear what you mean about too much going on ht high-frequency range. Still learning how to mix. It's SO complicated to know where to place things and I've been listening to music for a long time but mixing is a different beast than writing/singing etc.!

Thanks, I think there is some bass, but probably not cutting through. Still learning how to mix (and find good sounds in the thousands of presets on Helix etc.) I appreicate your taking the time to comment!

I like the way the drums don't stomp out the accent music. The vox seem to be the right vol. Lacks a certain something. Something that when you hear it makes you say, "That's clever, good vibe, I like that tune!"
