Wide awake alone in the middle of the night preoccupied with the uncertainty of light
Linger on a memory of you and I and the mountains that we used to climb (we come alive)

All the walls we build of our design visible the universe we defined
Hold my heart my face between your hands (divine) until our paths become aligned/entwined

We linger on, the mountains - we used to climb -- we linger

Take a chance on being who you are authentic be it plain (or just) bizarre
Let the world -- see just how you shine, you are unique and you are fine

Old beliefs-- that might hold you back are windows made to break, until
you find the beauty that shines through meanings you’ll fulfill

We linger, the mountains….we used to climb, we linger

We are climbing higher, higher...stars below us… find us oh divine...

And the uncertainty of light I linger on the memory of mountains that we’ve climbed
And rage against the walls of glass beside us as we fight to find the opening to take us
Through this life

Nice to get props for my melody. Yeah, I hear what you mean about too much going on ht high-frequency range. Still learning how to mix. It's SO complicated to know where to place things and I've been listening to music for a long time but mixing is a different beast than writing/singing etc.!

Thanks, I think there is some bass, but probably not cutting through. Still learning how to mix (and find good sounds in the thousands of presets on Helix etc.) I appreicate your taking the time to comment!
