This has a good sound to it! I like the pads you used, they could maybe come up in the mix a little. That vocal break around 2:36 was cool! I'd agree with the tips that GlobalSunrise gave you. Not much else to say, but I like this tune!
yea i was in two minds about the break at first, but its grown on me, thanks again for the review, i think i agree with the pads part, could be used to make the track a little more varied, glad you like it though
Hey sorry for long response on your email .
This does have a better kick .
The bass still doesn't feel like a real bass . You should change the oscillators pitch to -12 or adjust them some way . I noticed few build ups that's good :) . Now you need to add some more things to make it more interesting . It follows same things all the time . Could use some extra lead or anything to give it more energy . :)
thanks v much, no worries, thanks for taking the time to write it, yea i havent quite got the use of 'effects' yet, but ill get there, watch this space
please.. say what you really mean! haha, a couple of people outside of the looperfam have said the same, that the first minute doesnt go anywhere, so trust me, its something that i wont let happen in the next one, thanks again for your honesty
Hey, thought I would come check out ur track, after seeing ur post. This is a good attempt for first Dubstep track, I use FL 9 and and I just got the Massive Vst, which is amazing for making Dubstep bass and wobbles. I would be more than happy to send it to ya . Just email me and let me know :)
cheers for checking, im actually really surprised at how many people have post on the introducing thread and actually to time to listen, i am happy to be joining the 'looperfam' :D
nice bass it would sound better tho if you
had some drops, effects , buildups
anything you can but im not gonna tell you how to do it
youve got talent so use it =]
Hey I saw your thread and decided to give your track a listen. Its pretty good for your first dubstep track. The drop was kinda weak so I would advice using either a white noise build up (I think you're using FL, so try using the 3x osc to get a good white noise), or build up with the kicks or snare steadily speeding them up, or lastly use like a synth strings to build up in volume. Also the track needs work on the mastering, although this is usually pretty tough for anyone to get a great mastering it just takes time and practice to get better. Keep at it and I'll be looking out for your second track!
EDIT: Oh also I forgot to mention you should check out youtube for some good vocals, for example I used a quote from the movie Reefer Madness that I got from youtube in one of my tracks. Its just a good way to make your tracks sound better (personally I'm not a big fan of the FL vocal synth). Just try to find some quotes or acapellas.
cheers billboo, the tips to build up the drop are much appreciated, and i shall certainly be taking up the advice on the youtube vocals, thanks again for reviewing
So here we go
I think you need to EQ , Compress the kick . It feels like a Fruity Usual Kick . It could use a tail to make it sound better .
Your kick is killing other sounds . The bass isn't deep enough , I mean it doesn't have that woofer feel ( sry english isn't the best ) . Volumes needs adjusting .
Feels boring as it does need to bring some effects , buildups etc ...
But in the other hands vocal is done good . Fits into the song .
yea i was worried it was all a bit eJay lols, hopefully reading a few tutorials and forum tips will help me improve my technical ability, atm its all kind of experiment twiddling knobs until i get something similar to what i want :D
many thanks, i have been having a quick play with it, tried to 'dirty' up the bass abit, give it a bit more punch, although ive not actually added bass, take a listen, see if it helps

I am used to a bit deeper bass myself.
seems most of the song stays the same so its nothing keeping me from cutting it off after 1 minute or so.
Yeah you can fine tune this and make it something special.
