Love the sound of this.
The unusual sound at that.
I think the worst thing you could do to this is turn it into a pop song.
That's my ears and understanding ... my angle.
Sounds more cinematic to me.
Hey Silverman thanks for checking out this one.
Cinematic? Really? Hmm its cool that it sounds cinematic to you everyone percieves things their way. I perceive it to be pop lol anyway however you look at it I appreciate your review.
Hey, this is a fun composition! I like the theme very much... it seems to have some what of a middle eastern style in parts. I like the synths quite a bit. I do wish that "acoustic guitar" part was played on a real guitar though, it would sound so much better. If you need help with that, get in touch! Seems like a pretty simple line, so I'm sure I could bang it out. Any way, fun track, thank you for sharing!
Spiv! Much appreciated for your time and review.
Funny I actually remember you commenting on this track when I put it out there a few years ago haha. It didnt have that guitar part that starts at the 32 second mark at the time.
And yes I greatly agree that it would sound better with a real guitar and I definitely wouldnt mind you strumming away in place of the midi guitar if you want to.
Problem is I almost have no free time as I got a lot going on. I literally have like twenty plus tracks that are done that just need mixing or slight tweaking done but I havent got the time to do it.
Therell be a time though when the dust will settle and Ill get in contact.
Thanks again Spiv.
Hello,
This track very good, creatively laid out .
Nice Pop, however; your gain is too high that at the top end there is a distortion.
Maybe it should be a touch lower this is my view though.
It’s great job though.
Jamid
Jamid hows it going thanks for your review.
Yea I actually am thinking about reigning the entire track in a bit more. Theres quite a bit of instruments that demand attention in the mid to upper section of the frequency spectrum and its gotta be cleaned up a bit more.
Appreciate it.
Ok. That's can be in many genres i think. Not just pop. No dislikes from me in any way. It's a goooood song. You can send this to Ariana Grande for her next single. lol! Just kidding man. Or not? Hmmm... Peace.
Hey HH thanks for reviewing yet another one of my tracks Im boring you haha. I meant the kick in terms of dislike simply because if you listen carefully its actually slightly delayed almost off the beat. Eh I like to mess around.
Anyway thanks for taking the time to listen and review.
great composition dude. I dig it. Though I agree with crucethus, the strings do sound very MIDI-ish, maybe use more strings to conceal it? I'm not sure but its not really a big deal. The composition is lovely.
Cheers, I hope to hear a sick rap verse over this soon! :)
Hey EpicRecord Thanks for stopping in. I appreciate your feedback.
The track utilizes four different strings. The first two (in beginning) are a viola layered with a synth string, so thats why it may sound a little fake. I liked the sound of it so I kept it. Then theres the low spiccato strings and then the high strings in the chorus. Directly after the first chorus that synth string is solo'd for a short while before the viola comes back in. I think thats the one you and cru are referring to but Im not too sure. Maybe my ears got used to it. Anyhow...
Thanks again for your input. Its much appreciated especially coming from someone with your talent.
I like the bass line. The strings sound a bit midi (fake) to me. As an arrangement it's brilliant, especially in it's progression and the staccato drums. Would be interesting if you replaced the strings with an oboe. BTW the plucked low strings sound fine. the bass solo at 2:40 is sweet. I love that its in minor, I was jammin a solo on my keys to this in the studio.
Well Done
cru
Hey Crucethus, thanks for your honest and thorough review. I really appreciate it. Im glad you liked the bass it took a while before I became satisfied with it.
Strings (and any from of guitars) are some of the hardest instruments to make sound legit without the real thing but I do my best to make it genuine.
Again, I appreciate the time you took to share your input. Thanks.
Hey this sounds really good to me! At first I was thinking it wasn't that bass driven, but it seemed that either it built up over time or my ears got used to the frequencies, because by the end I could really feel the bass. Nice brass work in there as well! I know that can be hard to do in this DAW era. Enjoyable hip hop style! Dig it!
Welcome back mate, I used to be here under estefano/elsd...Slight name change :)
Mate very clear production on this one, has a very nice flow, nice beat, guessing it is a sax or something like it, makes the track, works beautifully, refreshing sounding piece, very nice listen...Fav...Peace n Respect...Mosaic...
Hell yea I remember estefano. That name is like a trip down memory lane. Mosaic now, nothing wrong with changing the name, it's actually better.
Thanks for the feedback.

I it because in Hip hop I usually just like the music (not the voice) so you make a pretty well one.
