Wonderful song and your tasteful guitar is a treat.
The ebow is very nice,I first heard it years ago, late 70's from Christian guitarist Phil Keaggy,he was my first inspiration cause I grew up in a Christian home, father was a Pastor and Phil was all I listened
to...that my parents knew;)
Still would like to develop this mood glad you liked it AllenV. The ebow has been in my consciousness since I saw Mike Campbell from the Heartbreakers use one back in the day, only recently acquired one and still feels like Star Trek lol.
Cheers
Really appreciate the response yampaja sorry about the delay busy time of year. Still finding your work inspirational as it's on my drive to work playlist. Thanks for the listen
oh yeah...absoutely smoove Hutch and a bit jazzy...hvae always liked the nylon string for this kind of thing...beautiful playing here..really a great listen. Don`t know how you got everything sounding so clean playing on the terrace but its top notch....now you`ve got me thinking about that e bow...never tried one..I seem to have a tough time just trying to do the regular stuff....great track mate....Ed
Big thumbs up Ed well happy you like this one...e-bow's are weird, still working with it to tap in to it's potential. And don't play my nylon enough that's why I took it away to get back in to it, need to find a way to record it better though but hey all part of the fun. Cheers m8
Hola Vicen thanks for the review pretty much an elaborated motif that I could expand later just sketched it down at the time. Miss the South Euro sun will be checking you out asap
great concept and result, lighthearted, i'm behind you 100% on this use of samples as a base to jump of from, well done..on blind listen i would have guessed it was spivcurl, which is a high complement

hey hutch- i hope you know my lolz were with, not at! the soring just craked me up, respek - dbl
still on the curve of learn Mr Beatl this one has the most work I've done in it, but after listening to it again the EQ scalpel needs to carve out some mud. But I didn't know how to do that then a couple of months ago. Glad it made you LOL and I still need to check out spivcurl so many artists here LOL I don't get many compliments these days I'll take it dude
peers through the thought fog and the winds clear see here hear and listen to a world that awakens with each stroke sit back and let the vibes carry all into a place called bliss planet earth behave tis time for mind to glide and relax chill as the air feels like music in breath exhale ahhh relax .....yeah ....haa haa....smooth .... cruise ....nice ....deep voice states .....yeeeaaaahhhhh baby!!!!! ....truly nice track indeed ...peace
I love Acid Jazz! This is a fine example, and the fact that you play live (something I suck at in complete suck-ness) is great! Well done, not over-sequenced like so many artists seem to do. It just flows along with what you were playing like the beat just wrote itself. Good stuff.
RE: RE: Word up, yo. Fo Sho. Keep learning! Time and patience bring musical mastery.
Still on the curve learning all the time about getting stuff down I do like a groove and space and just wanted Space Hopping to ebb and flow. Really value your input Mr B groove long and prosper
A real easy listen here...The one key groove does have its limits but you have added enough compositional variation to hold the ear Hutch..I have used most of the major recording software over the years & from my experience if you want something that makes stretching, key-changing etc a piece of cake...check out Sony Acid..Its as capable as any DAW on the market and you will find you can do everything easier, less mouse clicks, etc & most of it while the tracks are rolling...I have been using Acid Pro for about 7 years...used everything under the sun for many years before that..including tape & hard disc etc...Keep on mate...Ed
I might go back and do something with Friday Night at some stage at the time I was discovering stuff and it was just a sketch really. Will check out Sony Acid just about grasping Reaper now but I'm all ears for trying new things. Thumbs up Ed appreciate the review dude

well done Hutch82...I hear why you were tempted to do the slide thing in this one, but the guitars come off nicely....reminds me just a wee bit of some of the stuff John Kay was doing in his earlier solo days (after Steppenwolf)..so thats a good thing....Keep on...Ed
How spooky is that Ed I played Bto BeWild for years in a covers band I suppose some of that DNA was still in there lol. Will check out John Kay's solo work cos I don't know it at all. Cheers mate
some very tasty playing easy listening music Hutch...love the guitar tone & the panning effect..This is just what a guy needs to lay back & put his feet up to after a hard day...There is a group over in Holland who have developed a tape echo modelled on the one Hank Marvin used with The Shadows...Its a free download with abunch of presets (I`m just trying to find my way around it)...Just Google ETap2 if you want to check it out....Enjoyed this one....Ed
Would love to hear more key changes from you and build towards more conventional song ie Verse/chorus etc... etc...But this is a nice piece, very good.
Love the lovely warm intro. Very peacefull ambience and a great little beat and guitar stabs. Might need atweak on the pad levels here and there as they sort of drown other elements out in places. Like!
ps - check out System 7/ Steve Hillage he uses the guitar in similar ways on their more downtempo stuff. You'll like.
How spooky been a fan of Steve and Miquette since Gong in '74 and that tibetan chime was influenced from them. And my Strat is the same as his from that period. So I really dig system 7. Hear what you're saying on the pads think I need to review everything I do each month goes by and I learn a new production technique.Really value your review better go and wade through your work so much good stuff.

Mad, mad guitar work on this one. I would love to hear the guitars a bit more forward in the mix (they are really, really good). Love the tone my friend....something that comes after 30+ years of work on an instrument. Bass line is outstanding as well.
Bear your a gent I'd love to go back and do some tweaking on Swamp Thang but I keep starting new projects and learning new production bits that I didn't know about when ST happened. Makes me grin that you liked it ah ha
This started as a joke on my friend and escalated into this thing that was frying my cpu lol. It's probably the one that's a culmination of the things I've learned over the last 6 months or so still experimenting everyday. Muchos gracias Bear makes an ol' geezer smile
Forgot to mention Groovera.com. Have you heard of that station? Great ambient/chill out music. It's also on ambient radio station on itunes. Think you would like it.
Hey Hutch...your mate sounds like he is in a very contented slumber..Love that LOW J Bass lick (I haven`t tried much in the way of fx on my old J Bass)..Some thoughtful compositional thinking going on in this one & very cool fx on the guitar...Held me all the way to the last note....Really well done....Ed
For some reason this track reminds me of simcity,............. lol
I can definitely hear this track in that game :) I'm not sure I would call it house though,... I'd probably say electronic personally, based on it's arrangement and instruments used.
That's funny Toonz I'm not a gamer and never played SimCity but I'll ask my daughter lol she'll give it to me straight, brutal kids. I had in mind to label Electronic not being a housenoscenti, really value your review man
