Thanks Rita - appreciate your listening and comments
About to repost again while waiting for my computer repair!
I think the vocal sample (or the most dominant one of them) is northern indian influenced - I traveled many years ago in the Kashmir area of India (the fantastic lakes there at the foot of the mountains are well worth visiting and when I was putting this together that is what I was thinking of - of course it is sometimes/ i'd argue usually better to let people join their own dots with music (as with meaning - as my other life as a somewhat radical psychologist teaches me) rather than prescribe or otherwise colour experience.
Nice relaxing piece my good friend, I feel for ya on having your laptop in for repair, must feel like having one arm, anyway, back to the track, really could have been in the Amazon mate, love the bongo, leading you in and then that sax, I imagined (in my head) that I was struggling through cutting the thick vegetation, and as I broke through she was sitting there chanting to the sun god, nice work.
Lovely track psudoble, the intro is bouncy, wait there, no it's not, that vibe kicks straight in, I closed my eyes and instantly relaxed, synth sounds great, sax is gorgeous, the female vocal is beautiful, I was crying out for a soft male vocal responding to her, just my imagination running wild with vox again, superb production mate...Paul
Thanks Paul - going a bit nuts without my software - crafting tracks is such an engaging activity - even when the end result is just so so its still fun and it's especially so if the end result is a track with some interest or great sound or novelty - thanks again for listening and the warm comment
Wow must of missed this in your stuff mate, great experiment, it works, the pace is great, good beat and the sax drifting in and out, with Bukowski spoken word adding a resonance, definitely lazy day jazz approach, nice giving it a fav cos it's different and cool
Right off the start, I hear a good mix. Then a spoken voice with that BBC Atlantic accent from the 50-60s era. ẅhich relation do you get on with more your Mother or Father" and then a slightly subdued you will almost miss it in the mix gibberish female moan@1:04....and throughout the mix brilliant work. Psychology in a neo-romantic expression? super creative work and I enjoyed my listen.

Nothing like a visit to the shrink at 6 a.m., I was answering in my head. Well done the 8 year old and yourself. Music was dreamy and delicious. I think this is simply brilliant.
I guess I'm the first to comment.
It looks like you got the "Spoken Word fever".
If you keep listening to those Allen Watts clips
you'll find it hard to get away. You have so much
freedom on top of the inspiration you get if the spoken word
is relevant and meaningful.
Your background music is spot on.
I could have listened to it all day.
Great track Faved.
Hey man this was captivating. I was on lake hauroko in fiordland the other day, NZ's deepest, and this perfectly reflects the mystical qualities of that place. Outstanding piece of music in my opinion.
This is a a nice juxtaposition of music and spoken word. Well produced, and respect for using the mpc.
I love to play the MPC and appreciate the work put in here.
Thanks for listening and for your comment - Ive been working on improving the production as I've got my head more around using the software, samples, vst instruments and effects

Interesting, nice playing, nice mixing, well done.
That can be a soundtrack of a movie.
Buen tema amigo pseudoble. Me encanta que hayas utilizado un poema de Bukowski para arroparlo con ese fondo musical tan apropiado y alternativo. También he colaborado con algunos poetas y me sentido muy identificado contigo. Bravo.
