Dang man, this is pretty cool!! Who doesn't think Allen V is a demigod, haha!!! This is just straight up rock, powerful and well written too. Nice job with this track man!!
back to back listens.. this track made me want to pick up my axe and join in.. I hope you'll consider putting more polish on this and putting it back up. a very worthwhile listen! thanks.
Yes, How did you do them horns?
I think ... I was at a crossroads, because I really struggle with finding good samples and softsynths that can effectively pull off the "brass" sound.
Humn.. I may just rent them. I do that with instruments occasionally.
I actually did some studying into the theory of it all... It's based off some of the work Oliver Sachs and Sean Bennet did on the study of neurophsycology and music.
Things getting stuck in our heads.
Not surprisingly, most of the work is funded by advertisement stuffs...
Catchy indeed!
Nice and sugary and sweet!
Thanks Fam! Everything is done in Reason 4, and the horns are from refills for the NNXT. I love to use brass and other traditonal instruments because I tend to approach it more as a musician than a producer. I'm still waiting for you to rent a harp and lay down some samples and loops!
Mate is one very sweet tune, love the strings, and you on the piano is not bad, for someone that does not play piano much, much better then I would ever be able to do lol, piece's has a very nice melow feel about it, which I like alot...Fav'd...Peace matey...Estefano....
dang this is thumpin' man! Love the flow of it. Very hip and down! The scratching fits perfect and the whole track is wonderful! i was looking for a break up but tis great dude!
Man you had me hooked right from the very beginning, wow what a funky piece, this one sounds like it could fit easily into a couple of genre, very much has a funky groove about it, good beat, like the vocal, have to say this a very enjoyable and exciting track to listen, clarity sweet, love everything about this baby...Fav'd right from the very start, Peace n much Respect Ken, great piece of work...Estefano...
Thanks fam! If you ever hear a flo in your head on one of my tracks...hit me up and I'll send it out to ya! And thats an offer I've only made to you...cuz ya got mad skillz... and more importantly you got a great voice! You can't buy that sh*t in a refill, ya know?
oh yes percussion.... tablas, i love it already.
that vocal is perfect, nice timpani(sp??) solo.
the string instruments are great with the flute.......
woooh abrupt stop.
love it as a whole brother but lengthwise i want more.
and the end comes sudden, i think that a fade out with the vocals would be cool.
just my two cents, wich if rubbed toghther wouldnt make a penny soooooo....
good stuff yesss.
Bless!
Thanks Kyle! It's kinda short like all my others...lol! I guess I turn on record and play until I got nothing else, then just layer on that. Never really give time (or key/tempo...blah blah blah) much attention.
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed this. I wrote this for my wife New Years day because I told her I could "Play at" a piano...but she never heard me and didn't know I was able to write music like this.
Thanks Wayne! This was a fun one to write because I don't really play the piano and only have 25 keys on my keyboard!! I've been wanting to try my hand at composing an orchestral piece, so I'm glad you enjoy it.
Nice minimalistic sound!...the space between chords sometimes gives rise to the "it factor" I think this tune has it,not too busy, not too overly complicated...it's just perfect as a vocal vehicle....I'm just imagining what some psyched up rapper could do with this and then maybe drop a little super compressed bass note on the start of the bars....another cool sounding composition...cheers Dave :)
Hey my man...SchmeeJible (we really should be on a first name basis by now,lol)..my first thought here is super solid,no gaps and it up,way up....it's interesting listening to music made by a professional DJ..you'd expect a really slick tight intro, total continuity throughout and that's exactly what's delivered..just like stepping off the curb, there's no time wasted or a honeymoon period where the song has to grow on you....the musical cab has pulled up and off you go...there's a vocalist somewhere that's going to excel on this groove,I just hope he or she can hook up with you...excellent joint (as the Hip Hop crowd say!)great production values and above all fun!...cheers Dave :)
What a Stonkin' rock track this is !! I saw Allen V's name on your collab and decided to give it a listen. Love those screaming harmonics on the opening lead guitar part. The whole track rocks and progresses nicely, with the mix being just right (to my ears anyway). I got some serious speakers and turned this one UP...neighbours suitably sonically blasted into next year....great motoring rock track..
I love syncopation. And it is probably one of the most difficult concepts to teach young people. I too am a father and I admire you for involving your daughter in the composition process and music in general. This is a great track with even greater motivation.
Kudos for a job well done. Outstanding effort. Like John said, it just ended too soon for me.
