This track is so interesting to listen to. I listened to it because it only had one review and I wanted to see why. Well I don't know why, because I find it to be a cool track. The delay does it all...........makes you want to listen, I like it.
Take it easy.

Thanks man. I actually have "GOD of Wonders" on the board for an arrangement... but it might be a little while before I can get to it. I make them as I need them now for upcoming services, and I'm covered for a little while. I am cuurently uploading the backing tracks I make (minus guitar and vocals, cuz I do them live) as I make them.Peace

The only complaint I have about this is that it ended way before I wanted it to end. I love this kind of stuff.

Faved :-)

Hey Thanks John. This ones more of a "memo" to myself...lol. A post-it on my amp. You know how sometimes you're playing and you just stumble across something you really like... then you get distracted (hey look something shinny) and before you know it, it's gone! Well I liked the feel of this and wanted to work it out when I get a chance... so I guess by posting my first unfinished (VERY RAW) track here maybe I'll get motivated to do something with it. I'm trying to get back into recording the hook that seems to just pop up out of nowhere.

This sounds really good, I like the guitar tone, but track is short , my suggestion is: copy the first part that you played, made the transition and add some acoustic drums and this baby flies!Anyway great work DJSchmeeJ!

Well, look you, I liked it. Also the sound is somewhat charming. I like the chorus and the simplicity with which sounds. A good song. Maybe I'm a movie buff and even today I prefer a good movie of the 50 that a bad movie today, but with better special effects.

The truth is that I would like to hear how you develop the song with lyrics. For now what I've heard I found a great inspiration and aims to be a big issue, I hope to hear it finished.

i love this - to me, v compact and complete - well sure i am looking out for further developments, but this is a gold nugget - i really dig short tracks that manage to have cool trajectories like this - much respect

Nice work on this one. I have to say, Allen V does some good work. Everything was great, for the start to the end.

Great job.

Very nice track. Like the bass. I wonder how it would work in a metal track, hmmmm. The guitar bits were excellent as always, but I would have liked to have had them a bit more in the foreground (Personal preference).

spoken like a true guitar player! LOL... the guitar was an afterthought on this one and it was my first attempt at putting guitar into my tracks using Reason 4 (which is not the most analog input friendly DAW). I'm still not sure about this one though, but thanks for the kind words.

When AllenV first appeared here, I knew he was going to be a true asset (and not a liability). I'm always excited to see collabs with his guitar involved.

Looks like everyone's said what I can - so I'll just say that this is a powerhouse. Feel good. You've nailed this one!

You do have it all here, don't you? Didgeridoo, ney, tablas, urhu....

I've got a real soft spot for the didgeridoo, as it's the instrument that got me onto the stage and performing in Seattle back in the early `90's. It also led mo many "aha" moments regarding "primitive" instruments and psychedelia.

Wish this piece had been a bit longer, but is outstanding in its current form. Faved.d

Thanks VigWig. You get it! It's so funny how a song can just make you smile and feel good, even without lyrics. That's the power of music!

Beautifully done this is. It even feels as if it was produced in the morning. The progressivness makes it feel that way.

Well titled this track, the sun definitely came out to play the day this was recorded..the scratching gives the track a fun element and the overall vibe a playground kinda innocent feel...good job.

oh my ...talk about production..this is just great ...wasn't sure when I clicked it because I generally dislike hip hop..but I dig on this brother...it's got that beasties live vibe to it... just great ...why can't all hip hop be like this huh? anyway ...great track...great production... Thanks fam...glad you liked it. I try to make hip hop a little more old schoolish, and jazzy! Real instruments as much as possible and not so much of the expected.

As an old scratch dj, I really enjoyed the song. The beat is a great beat to go off on. It's got an uplifting mood. So how did you do the scratching with the key board, I'm curious, (cuz I was impressed.)take care bud.
DJSchmeeJ
DJSchmeeJ replied Unknown
Thanks fam. I did the tune first and the thing that kept coming to mind was QBert and how it sounded like one of his backing tracks. I found a sample in the reason factory file that was the main "hook" or chorus scratch (when the break down beat hits) and it was sliced up enough that the sounds spread across the keys well... so I just started playing the sample slices individually. I thought it was going to be crap but it kinda surprised me when I played it back! It was one take, played live n on the fly...so I guess it was meant to be! Glad to see another member appreciating a scratch tune... it's really a cool "instrument" in my opinion!
