nice work brother, love that drum track and the guitar is fly, great bass and a great mix and sound too, my kinda guy, who helps the lost souls my music is all about highlighting the suffering and having belief, i act like a big time Charlie on some raps i do but mostly im bringing the hurt, suffered with my mental health and confidence all my life, nice part of the country too bro, ive worked on site there a few times calibration, i love the water born 15 mins from the coast, and worked the Butlin's scene dancing trying to escape when i was young, nice listen
Hey man, I'm enjoying listening to this one! As far as the mixing goes, I think you did a really nice job, with an emphasis on the cinematic nature of the original. I did however have to turn my system up quite a bit to hear all elements properly, thus I think it could be mastered a little more powerfully. You have a lot of headroom, which I suppose would be good for a film (hence cinematic), but if I were doing a song for a film I would use the headroom more fully and allow whoever is arranging the soundtrack to lower it based on what else was going on in the film. I guess my preference is generally to be able to listen at a normal volume on my system and hear everything clearly, while still having the option to turn it up when I want it loud. The above is just personal opinion, and should be taken as such. I feel like you did excellent work blending the elements!
Hey Fixxxer, like Simon says, nobody will kick you for this effort. You really did clean things up a bunch. The biggest challenge in this mix was the sheer number of instruments trying to occupy the same space, especially the guitars. I think you did a good job cleaning up the majority of the mud. And I like the way you emphasized the woodwind at the end as well.
Overall, I would say you rose to the challenge and produced a really nice mix and master. Well done my friend. I thank you for participating and your support. I hope all is well.
Its exactly about the taking part and growing and also widening our experiences.
I like your take, nice and chill and I like you picked up on the woodwind melody at the end, really makes for the build.
If I was to offer advice, it would be to clean up the guitars. I would remove everything below 200Hz as there is already so much going on down there in the rest of the track the guitars adding to it muddies things a little.
Really good job, nobody is kickin you nowhere with that effort :)
I like it, but I agree. I think it needs a pitch shift. If you don't want to change my acc, you can change the pitch of the actual track. It doesn't sound right because it's off key. I like what you were going for though :)
This is way cool! Very upbeat for chill out music! Reminds me a little of PJ Harvey, which is a good thing for sure! This song really rolls! That bass is killer! Love it man!
Smoooooth one man. Would like a bit louder but i think it's pleasant to listen to as is. Chill out is supposed to be like that, kind of similar to how some jazz tracks are mastered. Some genres should be more quiet and peaceful. Digs it man. peace out
Definitely has a feel good vibe! Agree with some of the other posters below.. this does need to be mixed better. It may have been designed that way, and it does add a unique touch, but people like to hear every aspect of what they are listening to (well, I do at least) lol
This is a very creative track! Not what I usually think of when I think DnB, but that's a good thing! I like the complexity of the mix! Very good work!
yo! are you seriously celling this track to a label?
how do you do that i make music for a koppel of years en i like to cell tracks to. can you give me some advise?
its not that i dont like your track but its not realy my thing so its hard to say something about it.
hey there, saw this as a featured track. im not mix and master guru so i can't help you there, and unfortunately don't know anything about the DnB genre. so...all that said...from a "general audience" perspective i'd like to say thank you for using my pella!! i think the pella goes ok with the muzic, it doesn't make me cringe, or make me confused (about what you were thinking), or hit the stop button. :-)
I like the beat man! Pretty cool with the vocs. I keep trying to remember what this reminds me of, but it kind of sits at the tip of my tongue, er, brain... Excellent job man!!
nice start on this just needs some tweaking in the beats. i like the ambient effects on the vocals and it ties up nicely but i with a few breaks and drops you could make a nice little dnb track. not bad at all, good ideas
The start is ok but the whole track lacked perfection your drum loops were very low the vocal needs to be turned up to much compression is used on the whole track if i was to be truthful i would say that i did not enjoy listening to it so my advice is go over the whole track and make it sound better
Thank you Rolla.. this is the kind of review that people are looking for. A lot of people have been massaging my ego about this track and saying it's the best they've heard from me. I'm not at all wounded by the fact that you've been able to pick the holes in there that I've been looking for. It takes a true music lover to give such an honest and sincere review that gives the artist somewhere to start with what is wrong.
uhm its not my style but i like the ambient feeling to this en the vocal is great for this track. but mabby you can turn op the breaks more ore mabby layer tham for more hi end. keep it up.
nice work!
Hi mate..first visit to your page,G'day!..this has a very Film Noir intro to it,which is cool...then it slips into a more traditional groove..it's interesting listening to this, twenty years ago I would have said the drums are way too loud! lol..but everyone's perception of where the beat belongs has changed, including mine I might say..I like it!..the end notes need to be strung out a little more with some long tailed reverb and fade maybe..it was a little abrupt(a very small critique) .. nice one!..cheers Planet
