This was so rad. The intro was killer. I loved that wispery voice. It was creepy when I first hear it. The riff in it is sort of cinematic. I dig it. :)

Certainly if there is enough demand for this track to be available as a download for members of the loop I will make it available. To be honest when I put it up I wasn't really sure what people would make of it as I was straying into a genre that I don't usually compose in.

@fixxxer's
Way to go man. when I first heard the vocals I was thinking damn needs more of a beat to kill with but. As I kept listening it all started to make sense.
A different style and you were right a simple but effect approach was best.
Awesome!

Love the elements you have pulled together here and the atmsohere you have created. Sounds like cine-rock to me and I love cine-rock.

the bass is awfully wide, which aint bad actually, but feels funny in headphone mode, the background melodics are great, awesome vibe off those. pella is nice, all in place, great feel to this track, I wish the bass was less destroying so i could put this onto my mp3,

Thank you for taking the time to listen. I'm glad that you enjoyed. It is pretty brutal bass wise. One for the subwoofer people to show off with. I have a sneaking suspicion that this might make anything that isn't securely fastened rattle a little bit. Shame that you can't risk the mp3 player. :)

Captain's log supplimental..
Have had a fiddle and think we've rained that bassline in enough for proper belting this one out. Mp3 should be safe now dude.. peace :)

I like the haunting sound of the guitar amidst the turmoil of the other tracks. Like its fighting to find its place against strong opposition.

this works even better on a good day! - hey bro fyi check yr levels because it is not loud - did something happening during rendering or am i just not getting it? i've had plenty of times where a rendered track sounded fine on my local drive but the uploaded instances did not match up.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
Updated = Yr response does reset my ears, a different listening filter = a better understating of an artists intent can sometimes really enhance the listener's experience.

It's a very fine line with this one. Put the levels up too high and you get a very nasty distortion occurring which is not too pleasant on the ear. So I rolled with very heavy compression to avoid ripping amplifiers and speakers apart. That's a pretty heavy bassline in there. When I'm mixing I try to take account of the equipment that the track is likely to be played on. And come up with a fair compromise that sounds equally good on a stereo that you might play in a kitchen while you're doing stuff or a larger system when you really want to kick it and annoy the neighbours. I don't think I'll get too far in this business if I'm destroying equipment. I'm glad that you enjoyed the track and thank you for listening :)

I agree with ResistanceIsFutile in that I would not label it as electronic. I enjoyed the track it had a nice flow and atmosphere.

Thank you for taking the time to listen firstly John. I agree with both of you that it doesn't fit electronic that well. But where would you say that it does fit? Therein lies the problem with this track. It's hard to find a genre that it fits squarely into. All we know for sure is that the beats bang and it's still pleasant to the ear. And that Mhyst sounds quite heavenly with that guitar wrapped around her. Yes that's an APB we've got to get together on a track soon..

feels like there should be some more stuff in it, or at least get down to about a minute or so before mhyst's vox come in. i was waitin for it but i took too long for me. other than that, the guitar loop is great.

Thanks for listening Mike.. That you lasted long enough for the vocal to come in is a reassuring sign. I can be a bit of a tease like that making people wait. There are pretty much two schools of thought for this track from the feedback I've had. Some enjoy being teased others like yourself feel I keep them waiting too long. It's a marmite thing. Will be popping to your page in the near future to have a listen :)

You were kind enough to leave me a very well thought out review and hopefully I can return the favour.

I think there is potential in your track, I don't know that I would label it electronic as such, but I liked the instrumental part.
I felt the vocals were lost too much in the mix and I'm assuming that wasn't your intention? If it was then fair enough, but if it wasn't then you might want to think about reducing the volume of the instrumental so that the vocals can be heard more clearly.

I look forward to hearing more from your album.

The vocal is deliberately lost quite deep in the mix. Sometimes ya don't have to know exactly what the words are to "feel" the song. I was hoping that it would whet an appetite to hear the song more than once to catch the vocal. Thank you for listening tho my friend.. I'm sure you won't be alone in wanting to hear the vocal :)
