I have to agree with Pete, an interesting piece. Absolutely lovely work that demands my focus all the way, there's a lot going on and I don't want to miss any of it.
And that awesome rickenbacker sounding bass in the beginning...Nice.

Thanks Kikajon's.
Yes, the bass is beautiful, and as I answered to SPD2, you can read the name of threee real famous bassists in the 70 and 80's, I love much, for they technics and theyre melodies at the bass.

I like the fact that its really funky, but also crosses into other genres too. I don't know why it's in cinematic, unless its used to advertise a NY coffee shop. Otherwise, great track.

Yes, it's funky, I'll change it.
I don't remember the reason. It's probably due to some changes in this compositon.
I enjoy you like.
Thanks much

this is really lovely and the the sax/flute thru-line is amazing sympathetic synthetic playing - only the choir sound is overbearing and fills up all the space where we might hear the guitar to better advantage as rythm comp to the drums

That was a special work to produce. All the instruments were palid separtively. I mixed the mafter. I wanted to mix intruments we don't use to listen playing together.
It's a try, but I enjoy finding a balanced way to associate all thes instruments.
I wanted the guitar very low. Maybe I 'll see if I change that in a moment.
In the future, some works will be made.

It was not easy to accord the instruments with the choir, but I wanted to create something particular with these sounds having a touch of melancoly.

Yes, it's far to perfection, it's only a way to improve some mixings
you can find the sax software at http://www.dreamvortex.co.uk/instruments/
and don't forget to donate, if you think useful for the developper. He makes a beautiful job.

The choir permits to compose easily if we have not a good listening. But if we make care to the notes, it's difficult to adjust and compose. I'm looking for a software which is reaaly interesting in this way, like the AVOX ANTARES VOCAL TOOLKIT, which seems closed to perfection!

very pastoral and intriguing - voices and basses work really well with a nice melting quality - only the harmonica is jarring - i think the juxtaposition is right on but could use some cutting or other technique/z to enhance the flow
a comment from the peanut gallery - i always respect your musicality
danbo
danbo replied Unknown
Thanks for the review. I love the voices. I'm working on a subject today.
Yes, I've to look at the harmonica, but at it's level. I'll look and listen many times to adjust the tempo. Concerning the jarring sound, I think it's right, but if I substract the bass, it's correct. In fact, it's rather the bass level I have to modify, certainly 1/4 tone up or down.
Hey, you've a good listening !
Thanks for this !

can't help it - another fav! don't know how intentional it is but some of these transitions just trigger the happy part of my very nervous system.
for this listener a very engaging dialectic between the selector and the selected.

I agree with you. What is important for me in music holds in 2 points:
1) Pacling the pauses or silences at the right moment
2) To be able to break the music and to drive an other piece with a minimum of bad effects.
Thank you for replying and listening.

very bold composition like brokenmachine says ive done a couple of tracks in simular fashion and believe me they aint easy, but you do what i admire, you try something different its only when to push youself that you achieve more keep experimenting, stay blessed D. :0)

Thanks for your kind words. Working at he limit of the audible is a way I try. I have to make care not to fall down in a music-noise which could loose its melody's line.
This piece is to be worked a lot, but I'm working on the elements I wish to replace with my keyboard.

Very bold composition. At times it seems as if two or three different tracks are playing, almost like channel surfing through radio stations.
I like music that defies conventions, nice one.

Hey Dan

Matey love this piece, different changes, like if you would, chapters all in one piece, some of the samples I have here, so it was good to hear them in someone else's piece, very enjoyable listen, clarity and arrangement very nice, another top piece of work...fav'd...Peace...Estefano...

I find pleasant finding a composition based on the members loops. Sometimes, I add my own instruments via my keyboard and my midi system. But, listen to what the members put in this site, I find many ideas to explore.
Thanks to all the members for they loops !

Even if I love classical music, I find in the modern music, sounds which go well with my inspiration. Jazz and funk music contain so many beautiful sings!

Thanks screenplay.
In the 70's and 80's there were Jeff Beck, Pastorius, Zappa, Stanley Clark, aldi meola and so many good jazzmen and women that this period printed in my mind the references of something great in music.

The voice of "Kate Lesing" should be accompanied by a little more harmony, but you still managed to integrate properly in my view. This is not always easy to compose with a acapella and well integrated.
Dan
danbo
danbo replied Unknown
Sure, it's not easy to do, and if you listen to the acapella, it's not pure, cause there are instruments behind whch are not cleaned. If I find a clearest piece, I'll remix this.
But here, it's a trial, no more.
Thanks for your words. I agree with you.

Love the bassline and use of drums. Excellent track. Don't know why but I think this would be a perfect soundtrack for a segment of Discoveries How Its Made. Just has that frenetic feel and pace about it, all good of course. That's just the first association I come up with. You're extremely talented Danbo.

I'm an alien when I try t oassociate instruments that seem not to go together. But, sometimes, the results cna be surprising, happy or not.

I'm always playing like that.
