Wow really cool intro. I love the water samples you used. Nice elements throughout. Gets pretty complicated rhythmically there. Was not expecting a wobble metal blast. Sounds like you went crazy with the samples. haha Good tune.

Very cool ideas here. I like the chord progression and the bubbling fx on the pad. The flute has a good tone. The chord changes and patterns are pretty sporadic. There are nice traits in here though. I especially like the ending bubbling pad.

Given what you've done here, which I like very much, you would probably enjoy my tracks More Time Part One and More Time Part Two.

Keep them coming

This is pretty insane and a really good listen. I love the track description...it really adds to the experience. Your mix is outstanding. The only flaw I heard in the entire thing is a little click that comes in with the bass at the 1:03 mark, and then the next two times that bass comes in a few seconds later.....probably just a loop splice. But that is nitpicking the heck out of things.

This track belongs in either a video game or a movie. Very nicely done.

hmmm...i'll go back and take a look at those spots you mentioned, it may have been because i had too many layers at once or gave the loop too much gain or something. But in regards to the rest of your review, thanks a lot, that's really encouraging :D glad you enjoyed it, and look forward to more!

i dunno if there's really anything special about audacity...i mean, it works xD and the effects are pretty good, but i've never used anything else to compose my tracks, so i don't know how to say whether it's good or bad by comparison. thanks though, glad you liked it!

This reminds me of the experimental kind of stuff Lennon got into after meeting Yoko. Very avant garde.

Stay creative :-)

Hi SilverSkyline,

I very much enjoyed your track Crystal Shimmers. At 50 seconds in, I fell in love with it. Such an eclectic mix of beautifully mixed and mastered sounds. The depth and vibrancy of each section was very enjoyable. There was a section where you may have had some clipped peaks going on. But even with the clipped peaks, it was enjoyable. I hear some like to hit just above the peaks to make the track ALIVE. Good Job!

Such music could easily find it's way into Hollywood or any such area needing talented artists like yourself. Have you tried placing your tracks with video or scenes to see how they unfold? Again, thank you for sharing Crystal Shimmers with the group. I give it a thumbs up for sure!

hey thanks, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! Sadly I can't take credit for creating these sounds, they're all loops from this site. However the mixing and composition is what i do, and your review makes me feel that i'm getting quite good at that :) i need to learn how to make my own, but fruity loops is just so complicated and foreign to me right now >.>

Very ambient indeed, but it's nice. It has a nice flow to it with the "bubblies" lol. It sounds really good. Keep it up =)

A good film track, with a strange atmosphere, and well supported throughout.
Very well done, and it seems that you spend all your message, all your emotions, your query .... I'm a fan of the genre ....

Like the others have said, loops is an amazing way to start! If you have an extra $350, i could recommend an amazing Analog Snyth. Its the one i use for everything i do.

But this is a cool combination! Super creepy dude

Hey, it's cool if you wanna switch back and forth and all, just .... don't kill my head-boppin groove with dropped beats. I should, as a listener be led from one genre to another - and for this piece your only link is beat.

You have many very cool and original sounds, but it feels like I'm listening to a radio bed demo for all the dropped beats. Give each one more time, and guide the listener to each genre. We are not all as free-flowing as you.

Again, kudos on so many distinct sounds. Develop this! I wanna hear!

i really appreciate the constructive criticism, thanks a lot :) so what i'm getting from this is...i need to make the song longer, by way of extending and combining beats with other sounds before i switch over rather than just transitioning quickly off into the softer music by itself. sound about right?

First, I salute your work in composition. By cons, even if the theme is Gothic, your transition are not well adapted .... Damage as musical history here is good omen .... But this is only my humble opinion of course ....

thanks for the constructive criticism as well as the praise- would you mind pointing out where i need to work at it and maybe suggest as to what could be done to improve the transitions? thanks again dude :)

Even if you do not have money, your talent is not reduced. Money is not everything, but contributes to a lot of things, I agree. In the meantime, enjoy this site, and elements in it, because what you are doing, and quite well ....
