Yes, very interesting lyrics, with many thoughts gathered in a song.
I sure liked the music that supported the lyrics and I think that your voice is adequate for this form of rapping.
Overall pretty nice work, I only missed a better ending.
Well done.
My regards, Anthony
Hey that's a nice combination of spoken lyrics and bluesy track, not sure if this is americana type of style but that's not important. Thanks for sharing.
Howzit? Yoy know I like your stuff, you have a distinctive and unique style and delivery, plus your lyrics often resonate.
I know what you mean with going back and reworking stuff. I've been going back to some old tracks that I think are worthwhile or mean something to me too, remixing and remastering... It's a catch 22, rather be working on something new but hearing what can be better with a bit more know how. Anyhow, have a good day man and keep at it. Zoot.
The purpose of music is to bring joy in part. So if I've done that I believe I've succeeded as an artist. It's a very innocent track. Just a memory I had on my mind. Thank you for listening.
nice work Johnnie, nice story and good lines spreading the love bro, reminiscing, yep i listened to all 5.27 thought you should of played out with the music but thats just my personal choice, it really didn't spoil it, loved the slow vibe, keep em coming
Thank you, Paul! Yes an innocent track here, just rememniscing taking some care to the record. Documenting to an extent and I beleive there is some entertainment value. As well as a chance to be enlightened to some degree. I shall keep em coming. I could have went an hour on that beat. But 5 min and soke change was enough!
Of course, I completely agree! Repetition is very important for a song. It is also crucial to use boundaries, additions and conscious deviations in songwriting. When used correctly and purposefully, these elements highlight and support the repetitions and bring them into a new musical context.
I'll listen to the links when I get a chance. Until then, I wish you a nice rest of the weekend.
The idea of combining blues with rap or hip hop is quite interesting and seems to work. However, the song unfortunately gets a bit lost in repetitions as it progresses. A small but noticeable deviation could counteract this, such as a brief change in pitch that then returns to the original flow. This is just a personal suggestion. The mix and mastering are definitely successful, and I also find the basic idea of the song appealing.
Kind regards, Manuela
My range is not great... Lol but yes I agree changing the pitch could add to the product. Currently I'm a one man army on the vocals and lyrics.
I think repetition is a needed part to any song. In some form yuh know? I am glad the song could appeal to your senses in some way. Listen to S1 - T.S.a.A. Blackjack: Ep 1 - Part 1: The Blue Glow - Part 1 by Johnnie Smoke on #SoundCloud https://on.soundcloud.com/Dz44VCxifsqtn3pa9

Here are the first two parts to episode one of my podcast. I hope to open the forum for many down the line. To express themselves and make the world a better place. I think you will enjoy the product over there. I did the piano and everything else. I need to record part 3.
Life's a trip I got the remix I'll be back but let's listen to this.
Some roadhouse music that's right! I can definitely see some strippers getting down on this lol
It's that guitar 2+2 is quarto dope
Sweet dark tones and powerful - blues dirge with hip hop overtones. I can understand CC's comment about the beat and the vocal competing at little but for sure its 'pretty dope'.
Nice one homie I just think that the beat and your vocals are competing with each other but that's about it man nice flow the part where you go out on your own terms those bars right there pretty dope!
Thank you Cinco! I like to think the beat and I are competing together on the same team. I am just trying to progress the forum for myself and others. With every lyric every song. Yuh know?
