big word i know well, im always searching to be the real me. new big job i started 6 weeks ago has taken my time recently so not opened my DAW just listens and comments. again another creative journey beautiful opening fire drum track and percs, gritty distortion on that guitar 1.45, lovely transition into the end section eerie and dark with a great female ad-lib fantastic bro xx
Paul, hope you’ve landed a satisfying gig, mate. 10 yrs ago i was so alcoholic i couldn’t hold a job anymore — i never been fired, just walked off cuz i was in thrall to the whiskey. the shite thing is i was finally doing work i liked even when i didnt feel so good about my employers. since i started workin again it’s been kid stuff, i miss being really engaged. so anyways that’s what i’m wishing for you man, is finding a living that makes you feel alive challenged and bold. thanks for the visit, mate!
hiya MD, i use an ancient version of acid when it was sony. really limited but hell so am i. it’s the most ‘playable’ daw i’ve used, like spinning records when you get a groove. ha tmi
no i haven't surfed mate, i have done a little body boarding, that was fun, use to do some mirror sailing single skull when i was at college that was good too. i love the sea, i was born 15 mins from the coast and worked the holiday camps when i was a youth as you know, all on the coast, wtf im i doing livin in the city i'll never know and of course another listen while i write :))
Better and better. I love that you inspired me and I inspired you - in very different ways but still creative.
Sent you a link, let me know if you want the stems!
Very exciting track - and you inspired me. I'm sure you won't recognise it when (if) I post it later, but I jammed a bit to the start of your track and I'll have to record that.
The second half with the eerie female vocal is very good!!
Yep I'm among the battiest of the batshit, lol. I signed with a label last week, tho, and I'm getting a huge boost with advertising and graphics, stuff like that. I'm looking for some vocalists and some cross over Collabs (that might possibly be on a major release, if it's high level) Hit me up if ur interested or have some ideas, man. -Aaron
hey man i hope the best for you on that venture, that’s dream of a lifetime stuff for lotsa people. i’m now one of those who wants to stay informed man.
i would love to do more vocal/spoken stuff in the new year. aleksandr’s my hero in that respect and you know all that.
sounds painful bro, great little creative piece, got a bit of pace too mid section was cool that Zebedee spring tho' nice guitar at the outro, your blowing through tracks, likey likey
hi Paul, yer too kind, mate, i’m trying to tire you out. i spent lots of time this year cocooning me and the cats, made a zillion toss-offs but feeling ok with some if i keep at em. thanks pal you always lend yr ears
Hey,I really like much of your work, there's a huge amount of variation in your sound. Every weekend I choose someone on here and listen to all of their songs. You have some solid tracks, man.
well hey man, that’s really cool! i’ll certainly repay the favor — you’ve caught my ears on the tracks shaman adapted.
i really appreciate your words! i really get into this stuff. so you must be batshit crazy too!
nice intro Mike, tuning it in, nice guitar with a punchy drum track, like that saw wave too interesting percs and interference white noise, as always Mr creative. well done on another good show mate
Maj, hello brother, i’ve been looking forward to seeing you again! i hope you’re doing fine, but damn i don’t know anybody who hasn’t had their share of grief this past year.
but i will tell you the last several weeks have held joyful reunions, and this is all that, mate! i’ll be looking for you
From reading your replies I can see what the song means to you. Don't get me started, lol. It's a neat track, reminds me of stuff U2 did about 1/3 into their career, Zooropa/Lemon era. I have absolutely no idea what makes this trip hop but who cares, it's a neat piece of music.
Sorry to hear about your suitcase. I just adopted the neighborhood cat that 4 different people have just left water and food outside for her her whole life, ~ 6 years old. They move away and the next person starts feeding her. I started petting her and she was so lovable and underfed. And when my neighbor couldn't get the cat in a cat carrier when she moved, she asked me to feed and water her. Well by then I was already feeding her and she was sleeping on my bed every night, he. Awesome, most sweetest grey tiger cat! All she wanted was to be someone's pet.
There is still goodness out there, even if in small kitty sized amounts. Don't lose the faith brother. :)
heya Wayne — U2’s a band i’ll try rediscovering. zooropa was the only full record i connected to at the time, seriously cool stuff from edge.
the story about yr new roomie illustrates your point in ways that hit home, dude. redemptive acts oughtta feature more prominently in my head. thanks for that, buddy!
"Don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows indeed..." Your track embodies a mysterious, maybe even ominous feel about it in which perhaps you are trying to convey your message. In which case message received, I also like the fact (much like myself) that you've chosen the "say what you gotta say musical and don't prolong the song unnecessarily" if it is not needed approach.
hey Dennel, thanks for the listen and comments man. i wanted a ruined sound to reflect the images of ruin that permeates most media, it’s certainly permeated my consciousness.
i’m not really dogmatic about song length, but it is particularly gratifying when my long-winded ass manages to bring a sense of brevity to bear in a track. would that that were always the case!
peace, man
i felt the storm approach it was menacing then it kicked in after 35 secs and stayed pretty menacing, nice female vocal ad-libs they are tasty short and sweet nice work bro, i sure know which way the wind blows
so many ill winds blowing around this planet right now, bro. jesus maybe we need more pandemics, but no, there were shots fired cuz of that too.
omg my cat just threw up in my suitcase life is a horrorshow man we gotta keep making music. it’s good to see you, mate
Hey Michael.
Im not much on LM but sometimes i didd take a look but i diddnt see your track before till now.
Ok here i am to listen to this so xstokes track.
Great sounds in it.
Its psychedelic but i feel this track can be used for a undersea documentary. It also have something peaceful
you know i did two water/underwater tracks over the last months, that kind of sound has been pulling me in so i hear that on this too.
i try to make more peaceful music often, but it’s not easy i’m too crazy about loud shit!
Hi Mike,
The track is psychedelic in the truest sense, but could also be classified as ambient. Some productions in this genre feel like they're too rational, but this one sounds really organic and lived-in. Your great musicality shines through here and takes you into it. It's great how you designed these rooms. There's something electrifying in there that reminds me a little of Brian Eno. I've heard this several times now and it actually gets more interesting each time. Very, very nice work..
Greetings from the hangar,
Micky
true thanks for the thoughts, Mickey! i’m so gratified when you said ‘lived-in’ cuz this was a struggle over many sleepless nights! i think someone once said something like ‘if there wasn’t an eno, man would have invented one.’ his music runs thru my veins! looking forward to your next expedition!
Hello, a lot has already been said. I can only agree with that! This project really nailed it!
Before my trip to Nepal, I spent a lot of time at the art school in Düsseldorf. I worked on a few video installations there. One that deals with the passage of time, in relation to the creation and end of life, has a pictorial structure that fits wonderfully with the song's structure. When I heard your song, I immediately saw the images of the video installation in my mind.
hi Manuela, i’m thrilled by the association with your installation— i’d love to see it if any record exists, please post a link! your listen means a lot and i value your comments, my friend.
Mr creative, is on fire, now i know you have had health issues but these are now coming thick and fast you dont have an issue with 'Charlie' do you. no sleep for the wicked :)) or is coffee your flavour these days. i agree this is more melancholic, nice guitar and synth work drums are clever different timing love that shaker rattle snake again bro you bring a creative flare that is unrivalled Mike and love having you round lots
hey Paul, lotsa ice coffee these last months, indulging in the occasional edible as well! y’know, i have been working on a couple dozen projects over the summer and fall so i’ve been posting the ones i hope made the cut. i’m always excited to get a listen from you, mate
hi DOOM, glad to hear you found the changes effective, i did a lot of adding and subtracting over the summer so it’s nice to get feedback. thanks for lending your ears, man!

Like the part from :31 to :55. A neat breakdown, must be when they sedate you after getting the disease. Tasty bits in that part.
Cool track, different!
