Hey, Larry. I grew up on classic R&B and this just reminded me so much of the music I love most. You have a really interesting charter to your voice and it worked really well with the track by beatzmode. I see from your profile that you relate to some of greats of classic R&B and I can hear the influences. I will now need to check out to see if you have other vocal tracks uploaded here. Like Alex, I wanted the song to be longer. That means, for me, it was definitely connecting. Thanks to you and beatzmode for this one. You absolutely need to do more!
Agreed with Ed's comments. The instrumentation is phat and focused. Vocals lead this song in the most good to hear ways. Pace and delivery connects, hooks, and sticks 'Got an angel watchin over me' truth heard and I believe in it. Everyday they walkin with us watchin then guiding us. Good connection between music and lyrical topics that kept me interesting and coming back. Grabbed a dl for the road and one of those instant favorites by you. Now that's a demo! Thanks for sharing, much needed to hear. Hope the final comes through clean, Peace.
hi, I am much enjoying what you did on the beatzmode backing track... great soft intro with looped-delayed vocals. I like much the tone of the vocals: definitely reminds me of Maxwell... very nice work also with backing vocals layers.
Somehow I want this song to be much longer but still great work you did on this nice beat!

Who is doing those vocals Larry....really well done...Like the big low subby bass and pad accompaniament but the vocal is really the star...the overall vibe reminds me a bit of some of the R&B artists I loved in times past...people like Al Green, Gladys Knight, et al should still be doing it and I`d be listening....great job man...Ed

Yeah i agree that we all have to move away from bad people and bad things in life but the trouble is that sometimes you just wander head first into more bad people and bad times. But anyway, enough with the pessimism and on to the track. R&B is a little out of my comfort zone but what i can say is that this sounds very professional and sounds like the sort of track that could potentially do well as a chart single.
You've got some serious talent my friend and you should be selling this stuff and not just giving it away. Chicks love this sort of stuff as well.
