Well that brought back some memories.
First of all nice work. I like the gospel version with a touch of rap. great job.
The Human League is is one of the reasons I got into synthesisers "Don't you Want Me" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPudE8nDog0&html5=1
After there next EP and Album they were floundering and were looking for a hit song.
2 former Members of the Time (MInneapolis based and Prince related), Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis had formed Flyte-tyme music and had been shopping there song Human around the music world for about a year and had quite a good reception to it. The Human League management contacted them and they agreed to produce the Album, include this song and write two others for the album that would be called Crash. The Album is very different from any in the Huma Leagues catalogue but to this day they all credit this one song Human for saving there careers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1ysoohV_zA&html5=1 (Human)
Human was the first song that introduced me to the concept of 9th chords which are like a Minor-Major 5 note hybrid chord that sounds so lush when used. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jBwWP0YMws&html5=1 (Love is all that matters)
The twelve inch singles of these songs had instrumentals, dub versions and accapellas. I remember using the beats by splicing together tape so I could use the drums for my own early songs.
These guys along with Prince, Roxy Music, Queen and David Bowie are my early mentors in how to write a song.
This last link is a mashup of Human and a Madonna tune.
thanks again for the great memories this Saturday. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hutG0E-hVAA&html5=1

hey, I really enjoyed your song. the arrangement has this warm and groovy old-styled vibe. I like the 80's-styled reverb on drums.
Your vocals are super nice here - you might try to mix them even better here (add some processing, warmth, presence and this overall old touch). Still it feels unfinished but it is a really great song. Alex
I think it's Mike MacDonald or at least he sang on it... Can't be sure...
But this track was at the top of the charts, for a good while and AM stations
still play it to death all across the Country...
I like the twist on this, that technique has been used many times and it works
you've just got to find the right way, to hook it up...
Maaad... Vocals harmonies are solid, the mix is great in the headphones
once you get a handle on that program you'll be hooking things up, just
like you've always wanted to... :-)...Big Fun...Coming...
This is fabulous vocal work here...is that you or someone else or together?
Brilliant!!!
Is it a snippet or demo?... cause this is too short...We should listen it far more cause from the speaking part there are some choices in the song...
Thankx for this moment of the 80s...
Thanks so much danke, i was really debating hard about even post this track, i took a chance to see if anyone would even listen, knowing this isn't my style of music, but i love the song so much!!!! thanks my friend
Thanks my friend, its a track i was working on, trying out my new computer, a apple desktop, but anyways, feel free to do what you want to it, hopefully i can add this one if no one wants it. thanks, larry
Really dope track man. It's really smooth and melodic, yet still has a solid, tight beat. Sorry to hear about your computer situation, but you seem to have rebounded well! Best of luck to you and keep doing what you're doing cause its its awesome!
Tight track man! The beats ill and you delivered on the vocals. Beatzmode always comes through with some really dope beats. The mix sounds good too. Thanks for the enjoyable listen. This ones a Fav. Nice work.
Woooow now this is nice, the keys beckon for a big guitar to come along
for the ride...
If you don't mind I'd like to give it a shot, just to see what I hit...???
I'll keep it simple and real close to the melody, but you'll know it there...
Don't delete good sketches, you paint over them with different colours
that alone, could change the whole picture... :-)
Hi Larry...
Had some time last week to put this down...It was fun...
Now the guitar is not written in stone, if I knew where the vocal was
I could dance with it...
That guitar was just me going crazy with the groove, if I had an email
for you, I'd send you just the Bass Mix so you could do some vocals, then
I could chop that guitar and do it anyway that's needed or do it again...
No biggie on my part, cause this is what it is....Right here...
Let Me Know, if I'm in the ballpark for you or not, either way is cool by me
my Man...https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/161002
Sweet...That red light in the basement party, where every inch of the walls
are covered with bodies...Feeling that groove...Back in the day maybe... :-)
Simple clean lots of space to dance with a guitar, if that's Ok with you...?
I'll keep it simple, so you can dance on that, if you're feeling it...
very nice beat, kind of easy and relaxing but really interesting as a composition itself - very fine strings! Too bad Im not a vocalist but I really enjoy this song. Well done. Greetings, Alex
Again, a really fine soulful track from you, Larry. I've said it before, you have a great voice and delivery for this kind of material. You really know how to do it.
In my view, this track provides the base for something even better. It needs to be extended with full lyrics and more parts with different chord progressions. I don't hear it as benefiting from a rapper. I'd like to hear it fleshed out as a fully formed R&B song. Would love to hear that.
An excellent song, Larry. Very soulful. You have a great voice for this. Very nice arrangement.
I see that you are using pre-recorded Obrian Music tracks that insert this audio watermark periodically. Please consider allowing me to try my hand at a collab with you sometime. My tracks aren't nearly as good as Obrian's, but it would be a real pleasure to work on one of your tracks.
hi, firstly great and chill Rhodes piano! Excellent music. I become your fan here and this is a really great tune from you! Not too much to say for now only that I love your vocals and all what you did with this song! Congrats,
Alex
That sounds good to me, id love to do some more work on this track. im glad you liked what you heard, it was fun putting it together. just email me and we can go from there. larry
hi again,
excellent work you did here - I like very much this groove from rampatheswift, this is really great choice from you.
I suggested him to make some shorter version of this composition but this is still a great demo so far. I am much enjoying your work here although there are many things that could be done in the final mix to get the better sound for sure. But your vocals on this beat are excellent - I have really great time listening.
Congrats,
Alex.
Nice instrumental, you have done a great job with your vocals, very different sounding vocals then what you normally hear here, which is refreshing, great panning...Fav...Peace n Respect...Mosaic...
