Great music: remembers slightly to Dig Your Own Hole album by the Chemical Brothers, I like this track and I hope you continue to make breakbeat. I suggest, as an improvement, that you use stronger beats; the music is good, but I think you should use stronger breakbeat drum loops.

By the way, could you listen to my music on Bandcamp when you have time? My music is electronic, but I do of several different styles (I started to do breakbeat recently, and I made a big beat track yesterday, which I haven't published yet). I would really appreciate it if you did. :)

Thanks if you do listen to my music and keep up the good work!

Nice one! Really dig that kinda bouncing synth along with the darker layers playing at the back. Nice progression and great groove!

Thanks! Progression is something I've had a lot of trouble with.

This is awesome! I like the rhythm created between the drums and the synths! This gets pretty intense! A very enjoyable listen!

This is seriously experimental! I can hear why you'd want to make your own synths! Love the minimal nature too this one! Big sound! Well done!

Thanks. It had been a while since I had made anything new and when I made this and the one after it I think I found a sound that I like working with. Glad you liked it.

Hey Drakarta. I really enjoyed this piece of music. A very dark and sombre piece that is really atmospheric. I love the way the drums come into it and then fade out.

Very, very good and thanks for sharing. Faved.

Drakarta replied Unknown
Thanks, by itself the track is alright, but I might have over did the atmosphere, some people mentioned that I made the minecraft server that the video was for seem sad. Glad you liked it though!

Yeah Man I'm feelin' in it. I want the 4 minute version as long as its got more of that chilly beat right at the end! Haha good stuff!
Cheers.

Thanks man. I don't think the 4 minute version is ever going to see the light of day, I didn't really have any idea where I was going with it so it just wasn't as good as this shorter version.

I love it, very glitchy and bitcrush can be hard to handle. Props for the videogame feel. The beat is bada$$ too.

I think the simplicity of it is really cool. I definetly agree with Kwembe. It has a deep chill-out style, but at the same time pretty cinematic. Nonetheless its cool.

I am a follower of a partition without drum for some music. I think it brings another dimension and music can be another kind of harmony ....
Listen to one of my next music attached link for which I have used no drum .... https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/89835

(You do not have to comment, simply to show you here that your experience and your analysis is not so farfetched, is also appreciated)....

I like this a lot. A deep chill effect without the boredom I get from a lot of so-called chill-out music. The drums are inventive and interesting but I feel they don't quite seem to fit.

Great elegant music.
Drakarta
Drakarta replied Unknown
Thanks. I did notice after I uploaded it that the bass kinda clashes with the drums, I might go back and change that.

I don't really do the genre justice, but thanks. The short answer for why I do anything is because I have nothing better to do.

This is insanely glitchy! Like the melodies and the fx here. At times a bit too fast to me, but the glitch works well. Keep it up!

I have just listened to your track and to be fair, I don't get the minimalist thing at all, My background is the original acid parties of the late eighties and the free party scene of the early nineties, chewy noises, big synth pads and lots of squelch LOL

But Seeing as I listened I thought it proper to leave a comment. My wife listened to it and said it was fine. I guess the sounds were cool but there is no meaty frequencies to latch on to !! LOL

Maybe thats the point ...... I'm guessing that this is what I would call chill out music ??

Nice one @:-)

Thanks for the listen. I'm kinda the musical equivalent of that elephant that paints pictures, I just press random buttons and turn knobs and every now and again I come up with something not horrible. I'm starting to figure things out a little bit though, lol.

Yeah this definitely belongs in glitch! I think this is awesome! I like the watery sounding percussion, in fact the whole mixd sounds kind of under water. This is definitely original and very well done! Nice work!
Drakarta
Drakarta replied Unknown
Thanks! Now that you mention it, it does definately have an underwater sound to it. I wish I knew how I did that, it'd be cool to do something like that on purpose.

another track i can play whenever anyone asks how my brain works. almost wish i could hear the drums more, the high noise or something distorts it out, i dont know if thats part of the point... but still

interesting stuff here, thats always a plus in my book
Drakarta
Drakarta replied Unknown
Yeah, I had a bit of trouble mixing this one, too many bass noises share the same frequency.

This is awesome! I really like that high pitched main riff! How exactly do you do data bending? I'm very curious about this process. Nice track!
Drakarta
Drakarta replied Unknown
Hey thanks. What you do is open up a non-music file in some sort of wave editor that's dumb enough to open anything you point to. I used a trial copy of Goldwave. Most of what you'll get is static, but every now and then there's something usable. I've found .dll and .exe files tend to be the best.

very cool sounds, what vst(s) did you use? how many tracks all togther? Curious to know because it sounds really odd, and I enjoy listening to experimental/leftfield-ish types of electronic music.

Thanks. I only use stuff that came with FL studio, so really the only vsts I used were FPC for the percussion and this thing called toxic biohazard for the main riffs. I only used about 9 different tracks.

And again some other cool sick sounds! Really like it! And hl2.exe is definitely starting a career in music lol. I try to make some databending too and it's really funny to hear how a file sounds! Another nice glitchy track!
Drakarta
Drakarta replied Unknown
Haha, thanks. Databending is fun, but you never know what you'll get. I bent like 60 different files and only got 5 or so usable sounds.
