thanks for the kind words my man, the drums are a bit distorted from tape saturation, (used the rhythm trainer on my fx/modulation pedal), and I made this track in about a hour.
That's different, but I like different. Intense is a good way to describe this. How many tracks or individual noises are on this? Not my usual listen, but I did chuckle at the voice samples!
I love that movie. You got some pretty tough tracks. Keep up the good work and thanks again for the review. You should check out Norwegian Black Metal if you have'nt already. Peace...
That's catchy, the absolutely destroyed guitar tone works really well, but it's just one idea. You should keep working on this, build an actual riff on top of that and some verse/chorus structure.
i just made a glitch mix with Dnb myself but im feeling this one for sure.but DAMN eight days to finish i probably would of made somthing else by then and quit the song atogether LOL
PS how do you make that sped up glitch sound at 2:45 and 3:05 need to know in detail please thanks
If you use ACID, just copy and paste what you want to roll/glitch, then chop it up [divide it] in 1/2 to 1/4 to 1/8 to 1/16th, place 2 or 4 parts of the 1/2, 8 or 16 of the 1/4, 16 or 32 of the 1/8th, and so forth. Just simple math, then REVERSE everything, meaning whatever you did (as far as chopping) go backwards, 1/8 to 1/4 to 1/2.
I know what you mean with the headphones, when you mix a track like that, the levels get out of balance and sound different when put through speakers. Sounds good though. Will sound better after a little more tweaking and what not. Like your style.
I like it. It's got a dark sound to it but I think you need to check your levels, they seem a bit high and are distorting the sound to an otherwise very good track.
all you need is some melody, and you got this beast bouncin.
there's a lot of room for experimentation on guitar freq, piano, string, some bass?.... can you picture anything mentally sounding awesome over this? i would love a .wma!
Scary sh!t!But interesting!Stay away from the windows and DO NOT PUT ANY POP CORN ON THE STOVE!Cool for a deep dark movie me thinks.Well put together and well produced.
hey? you know cemetery improvement society?
you should check them out fer real..
totally in the same vein, and i think they are from madison winconsin.
they have a myspace.. highly recommended.
I really dig this!... But.. I think it would appeal to more people with vocals..
You know.. people arguing or something... just totally muffled?
i dunno...
I really really am enjoying the distorted drums and noise.
I guess.. i dunno.. it feels more like a interlude than a true song?
yeah, I know CIS, I'm good friends with them, awesome guys, gonna check out their show on the 23rd.
I was thinking about adding some vocals, but I guess I haven't really found the right sample yet. No distortion was added to the drums, but I'm guessing that some tape saturation added to the sound (recorded on 4-track), and disorted it a bit, but I did cut out some mid on on the final mix, to give a bit more kick.
man.. that musta took a lot of work!
and was totally worth it!
damnit.. i wish i knew how to glitch like this! lol
BEING straight up.. I think this is amazing..
but there's some elements .. that.... would help?
I mean.. maybe a soft pad Hard Left and Hard Right, to bring out more tension with the awesome amazing chorus drum thing..
i mean, your messing with the rhythm is INCREDIBLE.
soo how that glitch wash happens right at 2:13
the paddish CREEPY sound could allude to that? or something?
you know what i mean?
