thanks X666 for listening and the kind words! yeah, my rockier stuff has been on hold for awhile but I'm getting back into it more again!
Thanks for making this a favorite too!!
RETRO!...but i like it ;) im gonna back martins comment up and add a sugestion of a bit more compression..a few of the words are a bit lost in the mix...but it sounds mint man! i love how all thess sounds blend with eachother and still maintain that wicked feel your getting in this song man...great choice of sounds/instruments...epic!
Cool Track...I like the way it was put together. You can hear that its a bit older then your other tracks. If I could suggest that you could push the vocal up a little more and add a little more bottom end to the vocal as well. Good song structure on the arrangement.
Nice pop mix with a great upbeat tempo. Really enjoyed this happy little number. The structure's great; the solo guitar break is quick and easy in there. This one's got A/R rep knockin' down your door written all over it, i hope, anyway. Good work.
not bad for the timing either. the mastering was clear. there was head room, your good man.
i love how u switched the beat up a lot. it kept the beat moving and kept me listening.
really great production, sound really good, love the vibe and feel of the track, great job for an hour job, arrangment flawless, I could not do it and make it sound this good, great jam at the end, it works, good job and good luck it sounds like people are rasing their game for the all genre comp. and we all win with great tracks to listen to. Peace Love and Freedom to raise our game.
Aha - someone else that favors the percussive side of the ledger! Nice one, and I'm really digging the layers you've got going one. I love how it seems rather minimal until you realize just how much is going on every m/s. Really dig the contrast between the very highs and very lows. My only criticism (offered constructively) is the end - if it needs to cut off like that, could you add .5 second of silence that carries the reverb or something? It would give a sense of completion. Faved nonetheless.
10 Nov 09 - Yeah, this is just as good as I remember. Nice one, Victor!
sean, thanks for listening and the kind words!I'm still not too familiar with some of the genres so this is big experimentation time for me...thanks again!

The West African connection really comes out with this track. The brass section and ambient guitar work would sound familiar from Congo to Senegal! I hope you do remaster this: some of the richer moments would really be accentuated with some volume level work. Really sweet - I'll be keeping my eyes out. Cheers.
great groove, so chill out man I started relaxing and feeling go the minute the keys came in, then I started to look for a dance floor and a cool woman to dance with, great arrangements and structure, production is A-1 superb mixing, wow you need to get more tracks out here, I WANT MORE!!!!!!!!! You show great talent, Bravo mon ami, Peace Love and Freedom from your neighbour to the North.
thanks neighbour up north! I'm really new to the daw format, only been learning my way around a little since this past March, my roots are real old school..thanks for the super positive vibes and encouragement!! New stuff on the way in a couple of weeks...

Your invoking Fela made me pull it up. You've definitely caught the spirit of it with this! Made me realize just how much W. African music is "fusion" by nature as well. Sweet.
thanks N0mad23 for listeing to my track, yeah african music and especially west african music have been big influences on me, thanks for knowing where i was coming from with this this!!

nice! :D, i do not care about the fact that i do not listen to fusion but this is def chilling and can fit in most places, a game, a movie. i esp like the concas.
