Yeah man, I've been reading up on the branches of musical genre, and this really emphasizes how Ambient is an offshoot branch of Post-Industrial.

Great repetition, and really good in creating an emotional atmosphere.

Sweet.

thanks man... to be honest, the whole genre thing always throws me for a loop so i figured this fit best in ambient... but i definitely see your point about the industrialishnessitude. (of course that's a real word, i just said it. :P)

thanks for the review. i wish i could hear it the way you do... every time i listen to it i just hear the goofs and problems i had making it. i bet it's that way for most, though.

Now, we're even. I check profiles of who reviews me to see what kind of music they make. Bcway's review of your tune tells me a lot, all good. You have renewed my desire to make a track of just sound effects and given me a clue how I can do it. Thanksfor a neat track!
JackTripper
JackTripper replied Unknown
thanks for the review. i've been thinking about doing another sound effects tune... i'll be on the lookout for yours and i'll let you know if mine ever comes together.

take care.

we do need a "beyond current genres but not quite ''''weird''''" either. cuz this is cooler than weird. damn it. hobnox? funny name. i'll check it out. it's like an online music maker thing... .hmmm....

man i would love to work with ya. you make great stuff, i think it would even be a blast to just comb slight fx through your tracks as are. you do got "somethin" to ya stuff. cheerio.

it sounds like pac's disfunction is pretty consistent and cyclic - i think it might be chronic depression. i mean he sounds like he probably doesn't even look like himself. like his top half is flipped upside down and juxtaposed adjacently to his lower jaw. fkn yellow ball. jeez. pacman. dotbot. bitwit. yeh, your trippy a$$ pacman visual >< audio cross referencing thing just pulled the square blocks through the triangle slots in my mind. i can't say it wasn't fun, i actually like that kinda thing A LOT. SO thanks man. You've got really cool tracks. what do you do to make them? i should read your prof. cheers!

meeeowww
lol

ima about to change my avatar anyway...

I think ...
that this ...
well see? isn't it up to the listener? when an "artist" free-thinking and such... that you can say this could be punk in attitude, trance in layout, dub in performance, and weird in content..

sounds like art to me!

I am a music wh0re, so of course, i wish dynamically it popped more and was deeper in sound content (not actual content)

it reminded me of trying to get my act together lol
JackTripper
JackTripper replied Unknown
more depth and more pop... got it.

have you tried hobnox? it's pretty fun for when you're not on your own computer, but still wanna fiddle around.

thanks for the review.

Nice beat man...Scratching is fine.
JackTripper
JackTripper replied Unknown
Thanks. I was wondering about the scratching, actually. I didn't know if it was too much to have, and then just drop... or if it wasn't enough. (That and I had no clue what I was doing, anyway... need to look more into it, I think.)

thanks again for the review.

This is very interesting. DOnt think ive heard anything about it. I like how it switches up so much. I like your username by the way. I just hope the "T" doesnt stand for "The". Haha
JackTripper
JackTripper replied Unknown
"Heard anything about it"? Is there some looperman grapevine that I don't know about?

Thank you for the review and the "t" just stands for "tripper".

I REALLY like your sounds.
Strange from reading your bios, before I listened I was expecting rubbish.
I really really like.
Quit being so hard on yourself.

HAHA!! well, i'm glad i could disappoint...

i was just being honest, this whole programming thing is pretty new to me and i'd rather undersell myself.

Listen to Mistabishi - Printer Jam :)

Perhaps you need some drums in there like hats etc. But good job lol
JackTripper
JackTripper replied Unknown
that mistabishi track was cool. (i just youtubed it. i recommend others do that, too, if they haven't heard it before.)

as for the drums, i was trying to just use what i could from the sounds of the printer. i did this a while back, though, and that one had a good slice that sounded very much like a kick.

anyhow, thanks for the review.

I was smiling throughout the whole track. I worked in a techno/office environment for 20 years, oddly your tune did not remind me of the horrors witnessed and experienced. Your track gave me some ideas - may I borrow it ? I promise to be gentle with it.
I'm still smiling, and that's something I needed today. Thank you.
JackTripper
JackTripper replied Unknown
cool! i'm glad you liked it. and sorry about not really presenting the horrors appropriately. (i've never worked in an office, so i can only imagine.)

and go ahead and borrow it... i'd love to hear what you make of it.

thanks for the review.
