geez, all the metal I heard today was filled with these digital stuff... nobody likes this old handmade metal anymore...
okey, enough howling. as always it sounds good. but (yeah, I know, the world hates me, nobody will do me a favior) do me a favior and kill the digital stuff! ;D
just kidding. glocke.
I cannot stress how much I love your guitar playing man. I wish you the best in all your endeavors man. Solid, as always. Love the clean part and the leads. Thanks for posting this. You are destined for success.
Hey again mate :)
Always a pleasure to read such reviews, makes me wanna do another track instantly, haha. Thanks for taking your time to add a comment on this and the 'Apocalypse', it really does mean alot to get some feedback - especially one like this.
Another killer song. So sci-fi and fantasy sounding. I love your riffs so much. The synths are beautiful and when the track gets to that clean/chorus sound. just brilliant. You rule man!!
Hey Crypt :)
I'm glad that you like the song. The synth-riff is not mine though, it was a loop that DJSaeo on the site shared - kudos to him for that!
I love the fusion between trance-like synths and scandinavian metal - so I try my best to make something like that when I record - thanks again man, see you around..!
Cool riffage!
I like the changes, I find the secret to double leads(sometimes i have 4 - 8 going at once)is in the panning and volume of each track.
Its something i think you'll learn as you go, its fun trying out different things and looks like you're doing great!
Thanks Robinsane!
You are right though, the secret lies within the panning and volume in each track. And getting the right frequency for both all guitars.. (Equalizing is a b*tch..! :p)
But thank for leaving a comment buddy, I really appreciate it :)
can't read the stuff, the first wrote. ;D
so buuut, this track is yeah. finest metal culture. the riffs are amazing. just for playing around *caugh* it sounds to arranged for just playing around. ;D and it sounds kickass. :)
your guitarwork is amazing i wish i could play these phrygian and what ever scales as you can! :)
Hey Glocke :)
I wasnt really just playing around - and its pretty much an arranged song :) Thanks for the awesome words though, and is there such a thing as phrygian (?) scales? Haha, I wouldnt know.. Cant play a single scale.. :p
this is something I must study.. Everything is so chunky and the vocals are sweet and clear as a bell. Has a terrific hook. also, I appreciate the length. you made a bold statement, got your hooks in, and showed restraint. Leave 'em wanting More.
Brilliant sound, Steina, really like it. Metal is in fact my type of music, and this is great! I will download it in the near future = my mp4 player is already full as possible..lol :)
I must honestly say that metal is not really my music. But this tracks sounds really good to me! Nice work also on the acid synth. Keep it up. Cheers - L'Erique
Anytime someone asks me who is the best on Looperman for metal, I send them your direction. You set a very high standard in all that you do. You are also a bit of a visionary and this track shows why.
This is fusion people can sink their teeth into. Massive track from a guy with massive talent.
Faved. And I loved the break at the 1:40 mark...it allowed me to catch my breath, haha.
Great Steinaa! You know how to create the atmosphere for this style of metal.Your music always reminds me of a landscape, hard to pin it down and you can't find it on a map...it's truly your sound and that's so impressive.
Great drums and the bass rocks. The part at 1:37 with the guitar changes are the things that bring emotion to your songs and you know that can be lost in metal at times but you're no novice and certainly emotional about your music...it shines my friend, and very brightly!
Hey Allen.
Always a pleasure to read your reviews. I found the bass abit too high in the mix after some listening, but I decided to leave it with that. And I'm a novice at bass-playing, AND mixing the bass.. Going without a plectrum and its a challenge for me timing-wise. (It just seems so odd to play without a plectrum..!) Although it doesnt always show in my songs, I'm a major fan of acoustic rock-pieces, and therefore I try to incorporate small pieces into my music at times. Anyway, I really appreciate you leaving a comment on this one. In my humble opinion, you're one of the best guitarists on the site. Thanks again for your kind words, and keep those sweet riffs of your coming.
real nice tune, i like especially the melody around 0.53 and the break downs around 1.17 and on. Real great vibe to this, it screams freedom or something similar in it's symbolism. I noticed that i also enjoy the melodic, calming parts in here, which isnt often the case-thumbs up on this track man, epic.
p.s.
you gotta hear it loud.(no, -louder)
holy guacamoley! først, dritrå tone på den lead-gitarn.. å ikkje minst fans så catchye leads! veldi bra jobba.. jævla bra jobb med trommen åsså på denna.. all over.. veldi bra.. :P
wow. feels like a wall hit my head. this is awesome metal. :) nice riffery, really cool drums. very quality sound here, nothing to critize or to add. it's perfect as it is...
