What a great dark song...the mix is unbelievable and those bpm blips are so extremes...:-)
Dear friend, thanx for sign my name in the list, but we all know that we are enthusiastic amateurs...:-)
(there are some exceptions...I don't make list :-)

a very good result you ended up with here.
i love game/motion picture music with it's potentially huge influence to nudge thoughts and feelings into a certain direction and supporting those without making the listener aware, but instead doing so via subconsciousness.
that's what it's all about in this field and you accomplished it. this is right up my alley and a job well done, respect :)

nice bassline and atmospherics. It's reminding me a little of royksopp (but only a little)
Like the way all the instruments creep in slowly and build up layer upon layer.
There's a thing in the background that sounds a bit like a metronome which was a pretty cool addition.
Nice Piece

his words are golden my friend.
thank you for your presence here, and by this comment encouraging.

might sound you hear in the background, is isolated small notes of the (lead) if what I'm thinking.
are you put them in the spaces between the notes, to give an aquatic feel.

sorry the english

Congratulations! It's a great track!

I want to use it in a Coming Soon anouncement of the brand I work for. Can I cut and edit the track (to make a short version for the video - It's a 50 seconds video)?

I'll put your credits at the description of the video. If it's ok, let me know. Tnx a lot!

Bonjour mon Ami ....

Always a great time waiting when I click "Play" .... Again, I'm not disappointed. It is big, very big .... The images can scroll because you managed to create the appropriate ambience .... Again I am captivated by your musical expression here. Congratulations.

Dan

P.S: Thank you for considering me as a great, although in all modesty I consider myself just passionate.

Wow...Anubis, another great track from your musical vault. Your high quality pieces are like from conveyor belt. You're not only musicaly skilled but also incredibly productive. Your new music is on a daily menu and that's absolutely great.
This time around you added some electronica flavour, which indicates very welcoming versatility!

Keep up a good work, my friend...

this composition is slightly different on the menu, but I wanted to bring a little melody (Lead), my old compositions have much of these leads, I think fun to program these leads with melodies.

I'm glad you enjoyed

This is something different from you. None of your big, ancient tribal sounds. Much more electronic this time.

Lots of powerful noise on this - a little bit like rain.

And big, long bass notes.

0:21 good lead arpeggio.

No proper drum beat but it does have a steady groove I can feel.

I guess this is more of your computer game soundtrack music. Would be good for a scene with lots of rain or perhaps a planet with a strange atmosphere or landscape.

Thanks for saying I'm a great composer. I'm good at jamming on instruments and then spending a long time editing the parts together. I'm not sure if that's really proper music composition - more like music collage.
Anubis
Anubis replied 28th Apr 2014 - 11 years ago
sure, it is distant from tribal compositions.
Sometimes I vary these genres.

00:21 (this lead was built, before any other element in this song, and she was exactly as I wanted.)
but my next song will bring back the essence of "ancient tribal"
My friend, her songs are talented, continue sharing your work with us all.

thank you for leaving this note here and support.

Best wishes!

No, I don't remember that fight ( I checked out the Youtube video). I guess you're saying you've composed this track after being inspired by that sort of game music.

Well, this is totally effective.

I'd like to have and use some of the aggressive brass sounds you use in your music (and this track).

I would probably use them to make something like heavy grunge or metal. Here is a grunge track featuring lots of brass. I love it!

Soundgarden - Drawing Flies

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyOC6LtvDZY

Back to your track:

I like the close room reverb on the shaker percussion. I can really hear the wood of the drums there. Sounds very natural.

The bass for this is just some sort of low rumble. So, a percussive drum sort of bassline. But it works really well.

You use a lot of sounds that I don't have but I wish I had them. Maybe I need to buy other VST instruments.

Nice choir voices in this as well.

Well done again!

Anubis replied 27th Apr 2014 - 11 years ago
I meant that exactly the kind of music that game inspired me to do this song.
about this "Brass" I use often, you could try something like "EWQL Symphonic Orchestra's Articulations - Brass" take a look on youtube.
I hope it helps you in some way in their compositions you quoted "grunge or heavy metal"
reverb with the delay, equalization and other elements help much on the ambience of the instruments, make them look more realistic, I'm commenting on this, but I know you understand that very well, you're a great songwriter.

I want to thank you for all your support again in my writing, I hope you make more songs and share with us all your work.

All the best (y)

This really fits the combat atmosphere within the cinematic genre (also aplicable for video games). The massive sound shakes the bones! Masterfully done, as always !:) Keep them coming!

I like the strange filtered intro. This is pretty far out sounding and would go great in a sci fi movie or something.
It's not at all what i was expecting so i have to say well done on an original and gripping piece.
