on Battle of Guardians by Anubis
This cinematic piece by you was a surprise to hear in the list. The sound works well for the imaged theme. Good transcription of selections that bring out the intensity of that guardians battle giving the listener enough imagination to interpret their own degree of what happened in that scene. May I asked how long did the string section for this piece take you? Turned out good, thanks for sharing, nice style. Peace.

Hello. A very big and powerful sound with lots of vibe and menace. Quite dark and maybe frightening in a film scene. Huge drums that make me think of furious activity and/or fighting. They also remind of metal drummers.

Flute is your main melodic instrument. The rising note at 0:18 is cool.

It's good having the rain panned to the left.

Extra, higher drums that come in around 0:55 (a bit like bongos) are also good.

I completely agree with your words here:
"In this closed and treacherous forest you need to run insanely".

Have you ever done a soundtrack for a film? I think you could do a really good, atmospheric one.

hello my friend.

your words are appreciated and welcome.

the use of heavy drums is very recommendable for insane sensaões as an escape or fight, I always thought that.

flutes were used by ancient societies to communicate, warn of enemies and even songs.

the idea of the notes, came from my homemade flute.

0:18, this effect of rising is represented as the beginning of all the action.

the effect of the rain was placed to the left for a simple reason, I decided to leave very quietly, a little to the left would still evident during the heavy drums.

and to answer your question.

I never did a song for a movie.

but hopefully someday be able to do.

thank you for positive feedback

Hey Spivkurl, Really nice track! (I'm just taking the p*ss now)
Seriously, what an intro, Those drums are pretty spectacular.
It's like a war kind of them or something. I can just imagine two armies meeting on the battlefiels ready to slice each other to pieces with this playing in the background. Do you do those drums live or are they from packs? Sounds very authentic.
Really enjoyed listening to this.

Hi nitr8 remix

thanks for the positive words.

these drums are all virtual, good tools. [in Fl studio I use a lot the "Soundgoodizer"
tool that can make a shift in Eq]

basically equalization is an item that transforms the quality of music.

thank you for supporting this insane thought that is the feeling of the music.

wonderfullY impressive ! your description is so cool & seriousy needed my friend. Anubius once the way U use afro flutes & second the way U designe suspended atmosphers & mysterious ambiences in your traX & third your membranophonic orchestration setting & usages are 3 quite proffessional ,memorable & mastership trait of your cinematic worX . generallY especially U and also Soleixlune have made me found a higher level of respecT for latin american's composers & culture . especiallY U've made me
think Brazil is not superb only about Football & Dance , ...now I think there's a cultural country whose people have a great insight about music -not only their uniqe & lovely dance musix- & their cultural comprehension is beyond what we ususally recceive from TV & other medias...
greatest respects to U ,& greatest appreciations for sharing

Hey my friend.

Your words are generous and appreciated.

I certainly would not know how to thank you.

Brazil is a mixed place, a vast mix of culture, has a bit of everything in various parts of the regions. passionate about soccer and dance, and weekends. lol

I like this community, because here I find many talents worldwide, great inventors like you Behnam.

I also have to say that this character "Soleixlune" is a talented youngster.

a smart girl.

spite of all the cultural differences, we are all connected by music.

Holy Jupiter!::) What a fantastic sound, my friend...so massive and voluminous. The atmosphere at the very beggining reminded me on "1492 Conquest Of Paradise"...cinematic at its best...and it's very nice to know you're playing your own home made flute...fantastic...

Big well done to you again, my friend...

Cheers____orlando

Anubis replied 26th May 2014 - 11 years ago
Hi Orlando

in my spare time I played the flute, and then I decided to jot down some notes to transcribe for electronic.

the flute for me, is an absolutely tribal item, you realize the ancient civilizations use of this material, films, documentaries etc..

when mixed with drums, it is easy to imagine a sense of escape.

then it is very interesting to use this material in various compositions.
I also used some background effects ready, and mixed everything.

00:02 effect of a tribal flute ready, just wedged in music to help.

some effects for example, were not created by me.
for example: rain, heartbeat, and an effect exactly 0:02, and the voices ...

sorry for the English.

thank you for this support my friend

Oi meu amigo ....

A very ethnic music is proposed with these drums and this flute .... the trip is a bit short but it is nice to follow you on this journey, even if the unexpected is further down the path.

A transposition into the jungle of life every day .... no doubt.

Dan

P.S: Beautiful flute typical and original, of your remote area ....

Anubis replied 26th May 2014 - 11 years ago
Bonjour Dan =]

is really short, the intention of leaving it short is to try to represent a situation at the moment, as an escape in the rainforest. imagination flourishes more easily.

this flute was the source of the ideas of the notes of the flute.

thank you for joining me in these insane trips.

and for all your support in most of my songs.

take care.

I know it's not the way it was intended but i'm picturing this playing as i kick my bosses ass from work round the office. In fact, i might record it, take a portable stereo to work, put it on and open up a can of whip ass on the smug git.
Anyway, splendidly crafted piece of music, great energy and lots of suspense, It builds brilliantly and i love those big gong crashed. Your seriously good at this orchestral, atmospheric kind of stuff.
Well done.

Well, I'm impressed! "Cinematic" music, especially out of context is not usually my thing, but you've outdone yourself here! Love the rhythm of the percussion instruments! The quality of sound is quite good too! The mixing style is very unique and appropriate for the genre. You've obviously found a style of music that suits you, so keep at it! Nice work!

I tried several times this genre, to keep improving.
I like this kind of music genre, and also the "oldscool" style
I used many good instruments, which helped a lot, as the "Brass" among others.

Hi. More great work from you. I meant to review this a few days ago but forgot to.

0:34 big, low drum hits are great and 0:48 shakers really push this tribal ambient groove along nicely.

You don't really need much melody here. It's very primeval, ancient music. Very well produced and there's nothing I can really criticise. Definitely a lot like Dead Can Dance.

Here is something I'm convinced you will like as I believe you will hear the ancient tribal vibe in it.

It's the wonderful Indiana Jones theme tune slowed down by 800%.

Raiders March 800% Slower

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sS71jGlJMQA

If you think you might like to try taking audio and slowing it down by as much as 1600%, here is some free software you can use to do that. It's not a plugin you can use in your DAW (so I don't use it as much as I should) but it works well.

Raiders March[EPIC]

Interesting you showing me this song.
because most of the times I test my music bpm reduced simply by curiosity.

[believe it or not, but 80% of my music has between 110 and 120 bpm.]

would be interesting to do a test to see which of these is the result.

In this song I had to leave the tune and enhance the battery to look like a theme getaway.
but perhaps the bpm should be much higher [or lower] lol.

but I found it interesting that you bring it up, is something with great importance in the composition.

Thank you man for leave a comment here,I appreciated

It's not that easy making a drum based track but you've pulled this one of splendidly. The vocals compliment it perfectly.
