Getting around to review a track of your and chose this one.
I see you listened to the heavy metal track 7 times. That's cool, but probably would be better if you just downloed it and listened to it thru your home speaker system to get a better overall sound.
Anyways, I like the printer one you did here. Sounds like a typical dot matrix as I used to have one. Now a Deskjet that makes very little noise.
It's cool the way you incorporated the printer sound into your mix, and is certainly differently than anything else I have heard.
Overall, I think you did a clever job. Nice going!
Love this, i thought i lost it, i downloaded and listened to this the other day over at a friends and it got stuck in my head until i woke up the next morning, ironic uh...
I like this. Great and original. What do you use to mix? I cannot get a good mix. Mine are always kind of muffled. Where did you learn to mix? Is there a secret? PEACE.
Thanks!
Well.. unfortunately there is no secret. It just happens. I remember those times when I just started to learn using Fruity Loops.. everything was just not very well sounding.. But now all that does it is just the limiter, compressor on few necessary tracks and the rest is just what my ears tell me to do [panning & volumes]. I've never really known how to mix.. I've never went through tutorials about mixing either.. maybe because I am too lazy for that. But this website and its members really inspire me so I might get down to exploring things more techically.
OMG, I love this track of yours. :-) refreshing. I wonder if there are any loops of old DOT MATRIX printers you could add to this. Those Old DOT Matrix Printers used to make all kinds of noise you know. Perhaps some vocals using the classic blurbs such as "Print on Demand". Ink is running low lol..
I would put this one in the D+B files, yes its a little lite, but its deep sub like synths and speed put it in the d+b. I liked this track very much too.
The vocal and style worked very well together, it reminds me of San fransico breaks, A west coast chill style of break beat or d+b. Have you ever seen the movie "Groove"? try to find it on line. the cover has a picture of a kid on a train holding a disco ball. Great movie about the true underground and the west coast style Im speeking about. John diggweed is in it as well.
Great movie. anyway another great one from you!
WOW! great work, I had to listen to it twice, that sub and later in, that break beat/ clitch break down.... INSANE! It flows so well through the whole track! Again gresat work, KEEP ROCKIN!
p.s.- also added to my favs, damn great work!
It's just great! It doesn't at all sound like 'few-hours' work. It's really so skillful! Bassline and synth are fantastic (I envy this, really!) - vocals and how you've played with them are great and engaging!
Fantastic version, everything sounds good and well balanced, I like the simplistic beat and the deep bassline and the hats fit in really well when they come in too. Great track.
I like the mixture of genre in here. And how fast pase the drums are. Kinda reminds me of "love island" by fatboy slim. Your ASIO connect seems to be working fine, i couldn't here any cracking or popping. Where did you get that rave lead like sound that starts at 18 seconds?
it is more like a wave of white noise that washes ashore quite regularly even when the song is paused or stopped. More precisely, it comes from the Toxic III (demo) plugin. I wonder why is it like that..?
Oh, and as for the rave-like sound - its the ScreamingNoise SFX from Toxic III (demo) plugin.
i don't know what it is about down tempo ambient tunes, but i really enjoy them.... and this one was just that, love the lush background sounds mixed very well with the soft delayed sounds and beautifully arranged piano :)
Intro Sounds Very porcupine tree like, latin based beats, very cool! Sounds like alot of work went into this! watch your mids with the vibraphone synth, you got that weird resonant glitch that screams at you at one point, a highpass can help. really liking the groove, maybe keep the drums going longer. thats it.. otherwise its perfect! great work!
Cool Stuff! A Nice Ambient Mix, Very Neat! You Chose The right Place To post your work! looperman is the most productive site i've tried to get my music out on so far, and i've gotten tons of helpfull reviews. Best Way to get reviews is to post reviews though! remember that! Liked most of the stuff ive heard here, very rhythmically oriented, as i got redirected here from your "hello" Thread, i am also a drummer and i have alot of respect for complex rhythms... Anyhow hope to see more of you in the future! Cheers!
a couple of days ago i was thinking i need to make a track using only sounds found in my kitchen....hearing this makes me really want to dive into that.

It is nice to receive a review from you.
Actually this was a very old Deskjet printer.. I guess it sounded so loudly just because of its age. And, yeah, my new one is silent as well.
Unfortunately I dont have any proper speakers to blow my brains out with while listening to your track.. yeah.. downloading is a good idea, though.
Thanks again,

good synth sounds make good melodies,
and thats what you got here!
you could class it as Dnb coz of the speed, but i usually consider it to be more like IDM coz of the beat samples you used!
all in all a really enjoyable tune :)
i love Hollies voice too, how could you not :)
