Hey!
Decided to check out some of your stuff after you left me a comment.
This track is very interesting not only because there are many things going on but because it gives a feeling, it makes me want to picture the walk in the finest detail.. amazing!
I like how well the hi-hat triplets work. :)
All in all reminds me of something that Pink Floyd could come up with.
hey there, b5cully!
yeah, i am not very good at deciding about the genre too, but this sounded pretty cinematographic to me..
Totally enjoyed those strings.
and very nice beat as well.
hey, Aidan!
this track has a very pleasant feel:
the 'aah' kind of choir sound that starts off at ~1:08 fits in very nice.. and the synth that joins in @ 2:35 adds some great value to the mix.
Altogether its just great!
I'll have to show this to my brother since he is a big fan of Van Dyk.
Cheers!
A perfect name for it.. gives the feelings of losing control
nice chords at the beginning.. and the place where the buzzy bassline comes in.. is just.. Great!
nice synths!
i enjoyed your booms even though there was some glitchiness in the sound because of the bass.. Also I dont have proper speakers so let's hear what other have to say about this.
its strange sometimes when we think about how and what things/events/happenings can inspire us..
and if you are [and you are] that talanted to capture the feeling [that you just did], then all I can say is - ITS AWESOME, MAN!!!
peppermint, you really know how to conjure up some creepiness in your tracks.. in a good kind of way.
This is awesome.. I really like the place where it all happens.. it really gives a new kind of Van Helsing feel.
And I like what happens at ~ 2:10
+ those distorted gated synths are awesome.
And your description is kickass as well.
Thank you DustSounds for the kind words. I loved "conjure up some creepiness" Very thoughtful. At 2:10 I was picturing Frank's first breath of life. I'm glad you caught that. Mission accomplished!
I'm listening to it right now.. Superb drums! And I like that metallic-like sounding effect panned a bit to the right. And YESS.. now the break! Really good synths. Altogether it's a great track!
And the D'n'B version will be good since there's a good material to work with.. i simply can sense it.
It was interesting how it started off as something quite Hip Hoppy but then all of a sudden became drum and basey. Also I cant recall where I have heard the theme that starts at 1:36..
