Wow! Keep this up! I love this so much! It's a great, inspiration and sort of emotional mix and I LOVE IT! :)
You should definitely try submitting to some big labels because I think you could go somewhere bigger with things like this!
I'll be checking a lot more on your channel :)
Very smooth and great production. I agree on the fact that your voice has been processed a bit too much as I think that your original voice sounds ore than good enough on its own. But for the rest solid sounds and great timing on the vocals! Great job!
Great sound and an important message. Thy lyrics are so well thought out. I really love the chorus. Considering this is a rough cut, it was really easy to listen to. Looking forward to hearing the finished mix. Good work.
Hi man. I love how chilled this track is. You've done well with taking a minimal approach, but keeping things interesting with your vocal interplay. My only criticism is (and I am definitely guilty of this myself) that the vocals might be a bit too over-processed in places. I love the quirkyness of them, but feel they are a bit too distant from the backing track. Other than that, it's pretty damn awesome.
This sounds decent as it stands, and you should be proud of your advances in vocals. I guess one thing I'm noticing here is that the music sounds very muffled... is it possible that it was an mp3, and the vocals got mixed on top of it? I ask, because there is a major difference in fidelity and high frequency presence between the vocals and the music. Judging by the genre, I am guessing that this is the case. It is far better to work with the musician to have them mix the vocals in with the original quality project, or to ask for wav stems and do it yourself. If I am wrong in my assumption, then please correct me. I think the song could sound so much better! Your vocals are good for sure!
Thanks for the feedback. The vocals actually were mixed on top of the mp3. I'll see if I can get the wav stems & do it myself to purify the sound of the song. Thanks for letting me know that.
Beat is dope for sure.
I feel like your vocals are over produced. Too Much fx and shit on em. Mainly the hook.
Sometimes I ending up doing similar shit to my own vocals. I think its the fact that most people hate to hear their voice on the playback, which in turn would make you want to throw fx on it to get it sounding like what you think you sound like. lol that make any sense?
What do you record with?
I record using Logic Pro 10. My Vocals actually don't have too much of anything on them. It's only reverb, and I have two tracks to layer the hook & some slight auto tune to make it smoother.
Yo smooth work, diggin the chillness to it. Good lyrical thoughts. Nice change ups, keeps it interesting man. Some cool hip hop track, ty for sharing with us, Peace!
Hey overall good job bro, but in the other hand most of the criticism here is on point n most of these people know what they talking about and I myself hear alot of what they saying about your mix. But learn as much as you can bro keep it up and in time you'll learn everything you'll need to learn to succeed. It took me a while bro I'm still learning but you'll get it brotha.
a way different vibe, and it sounds original as if no one else made it
&& i love it, its always great to approach things in your own way to be original
OK, I will admit that I don't listen to rap much. Didn't really understand much about it until I watched Straight outa Compton. Then it really started to make a lot more sense to me. I still don't listen to much, but something made me want to listen to your track. I'm glad I did. Great lyrics. Important message. Talking about real things, important things. I liked the beat too, but you really nailed it with the lyrics. I hope it gets a lot more listens here on Looperman.
