Great groove, What's your secret behind the beat cos I tried to make a track like this and my beat was a total miss? I like the places where you glue lots of beats together, It's kind of funky.
I'm currently using FL 9. So other than Grossbeat, and the granulizer... most of my layering is done by accident. No joke. I layer 4 or 5 beats per song, sometimes more, like on this one I think is 7. I keep adding or taking away until I love it, then I worry about breaks, and cuts.
This track is really well done! I really like the glitchiness and twitchiness of it! Very nice dynamics on the drums and the mixing sounds really nice. Great work!
What a novel idea! Superb!
I might actually try that... Like on that one music video, only with my horrible dnb track instead... Priceless...
TY so much for the review.
Actually no. lol... That's where the begining quote is from maybe. I don't remember... BUT... The kick and bass is from Howard the Duck... believe it or not.
A perfect name for it.. gives the feelings of losing control
nice chords at the beginning.. and the place where the buzzy bassline comes in.. is just.. Great!
I can't say BETTER... But it is a little more progressive. I was just jealous of the samples he used. I just love that movie that much. haha. tyvm for the reveiw.
You had me at 1:00! I did not expect that change! I was about ready to review and say "this doesn't sound like DNB". You fooled me! Excellent! Faved for sure!
I actually hear what you were trying to do with the guitar! It's not that far gone though. Man this is an interesting track. I know distorted anything (guitars or synths) can be a bitch to get the right sound down. Try working with a Graphic Band EQ on the guitar track for some tweaking, perhaps experiment with a compressor and limiter as well. The idea is to boost the harmonics you want without having the guitar rip off the ears. The Graphic Band EQ use to filter out the distorted harmonic tones that muddy things up or you don't want. I still hate trying to make distorted anything sound reasonable to my own ear.
That, for me, depends on the sound. I use distrotions and compressors a TON. Like 4 differant distro's with sometimes up to 10 differant compressors. lol. Normally I get what I want from them, but guitars, or something that is supposed to resemble them, ggggrrrrr aaaaahhhhh *smashes stuff*
This is a cool track. You seem to have a very good ear for mixing sounds. Haunting rhythm. What kind of collab do you want on this? What do you feel is missing. I would be willing to participate I think. Cool track!
I'm not really sure to be honest. I just love what other people do with my work. I always feel that something could be differant and better. But if you're into this track I could send you the FL files and all.
No it's not actually a guitar, that's what I hate about it. It is slayer, and no mater how I try I can't make it sound natural. I think it's an impossibility.
