Hi there Butcher,

Say...do you realize this is the only track you have checked as Featured? Might want to re-check them all as 'featured' as you'll get more plays from the pop-up featured window.

Anyways, This is a cool tune and being your first one, it sounds good to me. Has a nice beat and interesting stuff going on. I like it.
Now I'll have to listen to one of your newer ones to compare.

that's sure dance floor shaker, I tried to do some club thing once too, but you sure got the hip hop feel a lot better than me.

Hey mate....a serious groove you've got happening here..nice and crisp....with some cool flavours....as stated before I really don't know what to look for in a hop track..so I'm judging this just as I would any other track..on it's merits..and you get a high score!..enough mix and variety to keep a solid interest happening but without sacrificing the continuity of the piece..great work!..cheers planet :)

thanks planet, i appreciate the comments :)
it;s good to see that people like yourself (not a hip hop guru) enjoy it :)

thanks again

I can definitely see an MC coming with something grand on this. The beat just has that swagger to it. Thumping bass drum, crunchy clap and powerful horn stabs.

I don't know how you normally feel about hip-hop but you bring something fresh to it without making some butchered hack job disguised as hip-hop. Nice track, man. Really dig it.
Tiltedbeats
Tiltedbeats replied Unknown
cheers jack!
i spent a good hour on that beat, coz the beat really makes a hip hop tune. i wasn't sure that i did it justice but then again it's my first effort, although i did like that clap (about 3 layered claps).
thanks jzck, i will deffs be making more hip hop tunes now!

Wow! Masterfully done. From the sounds of it I think you've arrived. I can hear the worldbeat throughout this song. I seems to have an African flavor to it. Especially with the vocals. I agree that it is a top shelf product. I'd buy it.

Cheers,

I feel dirty man, this track is redonkulous. Feels like a very violent animal being born and then going on a rampage and laughing at it's prey...Completely and utterly killed this track.

You write amazing music full of emotion. I get such imagery from this.. sadness, war-zone... if this isn't used as a film track it ought to be. I think its that good!!!

This is a murky number in that it has dark undertones.....I like where it goes..the vocals are a fantastic addition to the percussive ambience giving this piece excellent continuity.......top shelf production,it works very well..cheers planet

Digging great? Sometimes it's nice to do when you're in a creative slump and are trying to find something to work on. Or once in a while ya come across one that was forgotten. And if it's nice (like this one is) that makes it so much sweeter.

Dood, I'm definately doing to sav & fav this, because this is the kind of electro that I love. The simple, yet classic bass. The tripped up, steppin out drums. The basic tracey keys and pads. Flippin awesome mate. The only request I have is that ya make it longer (say, something like 4:30-5:15). Lates!
Tiltedbeats
Tiltedbeats replied Unknown
digging great LOL

yes i know what you mean about the simple bassline, i was listening to some old prodigy tunes, and noticed that Liam Howlett (the producer if you didn't know) did this kind of bass quiet often, so i tried to emulate it and then layer a few different synths over it and 'wah lah' this popped out!

im glad you enjoyed it enough to fav and d/l, im surprised how well this has gone LOL it deffs exceeded my expectations. maybe i might make another tune like this :)

ohhh, and im sorry, but i can't make this one longer because i made it in an old version of FL, and when i got my new laptop i got a newer version :( this is just the mp3 i saved a while back! i hope i can find the actually original FL file and make this into a longer tune!

but for now, thank you

Yes, I really like it. It's very textured, the sound swells up and down and moves around extremely nice. I'd actually love an MP3 of this for my personal listening. :-) It's upbeat and grooves, it's simple yet varied.
Tiltedbeats
Tiltedbeats replied Unknown
ohhhk
well, i can arrange that, ill change the preference so you can d/l. i just didn't think anyone would dig it that much LOL. maybe im trying to much with my music. maybe i should 'simple' it down a bit LOL!

thanks man :)

For a first attempt...I'd say this is mint....considering some of the mistakes that are bound to happen this sounds excellent...you must of had a very clear picture of what you wanted....for a first time ..this is great....now I have to see how far you've progressed...smart!..cheers planet :)
Tiltedbeats
Tiltedbeats replied Unknown
well, i mus admit that i didn't just get FL studio and bust this tune out on the same day. you see i got FL a while back but never really used it (due to exams and study life etc). but when i had time i used to muck around with the VST's in there and make a beat or 2 (they were shocking LOL). as soon as i finished my exams i had all the time in the world, so during the next month or so i got better and better (via trial and error) and so i created this!

i know now that i have come a long way in terms of skill and understanding of certain aspects. and i am ready to proceed down that path further!

thanks for taking the time to listen, review and read this gibberish, lol
PEACE!

I really enjoyed this on all levels. Firstly, the arrangement is very clever and well placed, also the mix and production are first class ( all is clear and sits well). You should be really proud of this standard...

great arrangement n mastering m8, personally i think the kick sounds sweet as, ever so slightly offbeat. im working on a track with some of reis loops that will most likely develop into some kind of grotesque dnb heavy metal mashup abortion n im fully enjoying hearing his music in a completley different soundscape in this track. very nicely done bro, im in awe
Tiltedbeats
Tiltedbeats replied Unknown

yer the kick has a late reverb effect that makes it sound that little bit off beat, thus creating a sort of dubby feel (at least that is what i tried to do LOL)

can't wait to hear your tune, do let me know when uploaded ;) cheers bro

Everything about this track was exceptional. The intro was eerie, (I've always loved the sound of radio-frequency sfx)

The slow sax crossed with that simple piano sample was done perfectly!

Promise me something ButchS: Never leave Looperman and continue to upload tracks, k? Good

That guitar is awesome! Or whatever it is. So chill, I don't think the kick fits in perfectly, I would try a different one or add a filter and some reverb maybe.

Great track!

yer i know what you mean with the kick! i get bored of simple beats, so i like to go beyond it sometimes, and sometimes to far LOL! seeing as this was only a muck-around with some loops i tried some different beats! some peeps liked them, but hey can't please everyone!

i might try what you said, see what it sounds like with another kick ;)
