Half an hour for this?
i can only imagine what
would come if you took
longer then that.

I'm loving the piano and
everything is just so smooth

Very RnB for sure

Sounds excellent. I think you should consider making more, maybe even make a album with different themes, i.e. seasonal changes..cultures around the world..indian, chinese, native american..african...

just downloaded it...on my iTouch.

warning: when giving a review of my music, expect my review of yours to have no remorse :) even if yours was a good review... nothing personal though.
beats are good, synths a bit weak, but nice melody.
Great infusion of the vocals, love how they hit the note right on

Great work, nicely done
I'm from South africa so i know the atmosphere, didnt really hit it right on, but had a nice feeel to it none-the-less :)
Keep it up though
God Bless

Well nice intro, whats the instrument which ossicilates at the beginning? it sort of sounds like a flut or pipes or something. I would have to say the intro is a nice length, nice sequenced synths as well.
Well, having listened to your tracks I have to say you are pretty talented!! but what I was thinking was, have you ever considered making a Trance or Dance track? I dunno, i could just imagine your style in a trance track to be a good combination! I'll keep an eye on your music!
Tiltedbeats
Tiltedbeats replied Unknown
a flute it is my friend!

i don't really like trance music! i much prefer a rolling beat than a 4/4. it's just me, i haven't really listened to much trance!

i love making breaks though!

couldnt think of any other title, and it reminded me of clouds! Real nice pads used here, I love the piano section as well. I see what you mean about it being a sad tune. I could imagine this in a movie or something. sweet!

I like it, the melody sounds kinda eastern which is great. Gives it a really unique feel. And the effects on the guitar are good as well. The piano is also really good. Just makes me want to relax and get high. very mellow, definatly a chill out song!

hey i like this track its got a kinda vintage feel to the bass line. What kinda synths do you use? I think maybe make the beat a bit louder or perhaps more energetic? I think its a house beat or like euro-trance? love the build ups as well! overall great track especially for only your first one!
-Lorin xD

Tiltedbeats replied Unknown
hey man!

yer, i can't remember what synths i used in this. i made it ages ago and i don't have the saved file anymore :( this is all i have! if i made this tune now it would be heaps better because i now sooo much more than i knew back then!

thanks for the review though =P

Someone either went for a run or they're really, really cold or... No... Mustn't... Say... It...

SAX

Playin, man, it's great! Very mellow and paired well with the Clarinet (?) that seems to be crying out to the other. While the Sax acts like a parent kissing away the tears. The Piano keys remind me of running up and down hills. With the drums... Umm, they're cool, but don't remind me anything to tie into the picture above. Maybe the breakdown near the end? Like Jack & Jill, stumbling down a hill? Yeah, there we go. Rawk on!
Tiltedbeats
Tiltedbeats replied Unknown
read my reply to Gemvi, i talk about the story behind this tune!

the instrument that sounds like a sax is actually a K2K solo cello soundfont! it sounds very much like the sax because of the deep thick sound it creates!

but there is a sax in there layered every 64 beats (to help the build). other instruments include a flute, violin, guitar! really a mixture of classic instruments!

i see what you mean about the piano! hahahah thanks Donnie, appreciate your time!

Happen to ever hear the intro to the original Injected With a Poison by Praga Khan? The pads on this reminded me of it. Then it progresses into a landscape painted on the canvas of dreams. The aimless travelling ones. Moving through a field or is it a large room covered with greenish-brown carpet? Are you coming or going and where? Very soothing mate. Later on!
Tiltedbeats
Tiltedbeats replied Unknown
no i didn't actually!
i love your description of how you encountered this tune! love it, you make it sound so beautiful, you should be an author if you aren't already :) LOL.

coming or going??? hmmmmm not sure what you mean! but what the hell ill say im coming ;)

Hippies. Now grab yer gun and kill, kill, kill! Haha, naw really, I wish things were more laid back like this track. Which if I'm not mistaken I detect a hint of Hindu (or eastern) influence? This song is very Enigma of you mate. Though personally, I think yours is blended better. Later on!

Hippies hahahahahahahah! i know!
no you are not mistaken, the sitar instrument gives it that eastern vibe! i kinda like that sound, for that effect LOL!

enigma aye!!!! why so! hmmmmmm, were you not expecting this? LOL

Knuckle, bumpin that @$$ for a thumpin. I don't give a F***, I've been crazy lately, what? Nothin just as I thought, smackin at each mosquito and gnat. Choppin 'em down like dat. Back down to earth I smirk a crooked smile- as I hear the s-p-l-a-t!
(angry guy passes mic to silly guy)

Eh man gimme dat, and easy back, while I lay 'em out. Sprayin saleen from my mouf, casting out shades of doubt and heavy heals, like dey gramma's gout. And now that I've got you in my clutches, I'll cast aside your crutches, while I try to undermine the lining of yer underoos, who me, yes you, chubby chick in the center, have you ever pulled up to a light at night just to get rear ended, imagine my lips on your thighs, kissing light, so soft and tender, but remember- we can't tell a soul, that i stuck it in the wrong hole, opps, it was an accident I swear it, that right there, I wouldn't dare it, I just slipped when i went to hit it, and shit! Now you'll need some clean sheets!?...

(silly guy passes it off to reviewer)
So yeah, I was in my rando mode and just busted out the above. I almost did a third (like scolding parent kinda guy), but figured I'd stop while I was ahead (dodges the pun and rolls to the next sentence). This was sweet and I uber love the vocal sample ya used on this. The basic horn stabs are awesome too. The drums are def west coast. Later on!

Loosened my watch coz I went to check the time and it started diggin into my wrist. Why? I was thinkin about makin some off the wall comment about what time it was in Zulu. Course, that'd be silly because I don't remember the conversion to here anymore. Eh (shrugs).

(sighs) That was perfect filler to use while waiting for this song to build. (very slow progression) Some would say bad, others would disagree. I'm just gonna say that it's different. And different is perfect in a creative world such as ours.
The vocal sample was awesome (and seems vaguely familiar, was it something from a 90's electro-pop hit?). They synths on this are sweet and I like the way they flutter in and out (wavy-like). The drums are out there? Yeah, they're out there. Kinda distant and moving (like being shot at). They're like a mix of Disco-House and Old skool breaks/Techno. Cool stuff man. Later on!

wooow man, appreciate the in depth review!
im not sure why i took that long to drop the tune, i guess i emulating the traditional dnb structure! a good long intro! it seems that most peeps that have reviewed enjoyed the intro, so im happy :)

i got the vox samples off some low activity sample website! i wish i bookmarked the page because it was a good site, and had very low downloaded samples!

thanks again mate, really appreciate the comments

That's the vibe I'm pickin up from this. Kinda like R&B & Reggae-pop, mixed with Rap beats. Very nice and I'm thinkin if you were to do something with someone on this it could be taken in several different directions. Kinda like Selena's Sittin Up in my Room or something new agey (like Billy Idol or Enya). Possibly even a kinda R Kelly or Bone-Thugs reminiscing joint.

As for production ventures here, you are well on your way mate. Next 2 steps are to improve upon the vibe you got goin on here and then to mess with makin other styles (Booty Bass, Club, Dirty South, New School, Old School, Gangsta, etc.). Thanks for sharing. Later on!

Nice mellow piano work. Love the delayed sounds that drop in after the intro. This is what I like to call a "jolly melancholy" sounding song. Hopelessly reflective. And like you already said, effectively simple, no need to complicate things. Loving it. Great work.

Hi there Butcher,

Just catching up on reviews and your on my list. :-)

I haven't listened to much hip hop as it isn't my favorite type of music, but I can tell that this is pretty cool.

Has a nice beat and good background stuff going on. A little horns and some vocals all adding in.
Nice job,

Randy
