I agree with Wayne this is New Wave, indeed or post post new wave. but that moving bass line and synth treatments make it very classically new wave and an awesome job you did on this one my friend. The sound is luscious and full. And it's a great tune to listen to. My head was bopping along to it while typing.
Great work
Cru
hello Cru,
glad to read you enjoyed this track! it's important for me you underlined the mixing quality ;) it's an important phase and it's not easy when you don't have enough knowledges in sound engineering :)
I liked the vocal track, good strong voice. Wish there were more lyrics and singing. There is a cool groove to the track, the bass has a definite presence in the track. To me it has a more of an early new wave feel to it, with your instrument choices, drums and production. The genre really has nothing to do with the quality of the track which has a very even mix and is quite catchy. Upbeat and danceable, very cool!
Hello Wayne,
unfortunately, i only have the voice sample! believe me, if a singer want to add her own voice on this track, i will accept it immediatly :)
for the genre, i wasn't sure! at the beginning, i wanted to make a disco track and the bass line is oriented like this but and you wrote it, the others instruments took me far away from my first purpose... so what genre is it? i don't know! easy listening may be? :)
thanks for yours friendly words Wayne, i appreciate your feedback :)
Hey Bleep almost an oriental stringed sound and I think a very subtle build here. The singer has a jazzy bluesy quality to her voice which blends into the track so nicely. you have done a high quality track here my friend best regards Robbie.
Hello Rob!
Thanks for your feedback! it's true, there's something jazzy in the singer voice ;) i hesitate to composed some saxo riffs and finally, as i wanted a render near disco, i deleted the idea lol may be i was wrong? :)
thanks for your words which are always appreciate, you know it! :)
Ha ha ha Dan! You're right, my pict doesn't really reflec my personality and my work but unfortunately i didn't find a better pict with my artist nick on it! i promise i will find one more appropriate :)
about the track "burning in my soul" it missed some guitar riffs in it like a wah wah but i didn't find anything about it and i didn't ask for this here! last time, on the track "the ending" i asked a collab and nobody never answered me so... may be one day, i will find the perfect sample for this track (or may be i will make it by my own)
Thanks for your positive comment, it's really appreciate :)
Deeply enchanting piece you have made here! I'm happy that I found this one. I did a quick translate of the description, and I agree fully that this has the jungle edge to it. It seems rare to hear a good jungle track any more, aside from when I whip out the old singles from behind the vinyl crate. I guess that this song had that kind of feeling, like digging out memories which one doesn't think of often any more...
The above was the only thing left from my comment on your song yesterday, and it was retrieved from the server due to a "security" issue. I have these come up most everyday, and usually my written work is gone for good after that. I will try to continue.
The break beat sounding aspect to the main section percussion is especially excellent. Even moving quite away from the speakers, it cuts through the whole place. I love the sound of that part.
Yesterday, I listened twice, with the second time being much louder. Today I just started out loud. It sounds really good that way.
There is something familiar about the vocal part, maybe it is included in some old DJ set I have maybe not. Either way I like it, and it fits in well with this style.
The whole song takes me "back," in a very pleasant way. It is for sure a fave, and I look forward to hearing it on my ipod. I love this sort of music for walking the streets!
I know that I must have been more, or possibly far less articulate when I commented yesterday, but that is how it goes. I wanted to finish the job, and also get that all to special download! Thank you for sharing this song!
hi Spiv, i apologize for the late answer...
About toxic Humans, you're right, it sounds like old school jungle... i rarely compose this kind of genre so i think that I draw from my memories. Younger, i made a lot of electro fests, tecknivals, rave parties (when it wasn't allowed and i only speak for the french law :))
I'm conscious that the sound evolved a lot, every day i discover new genre in the electro world but, how can i say that... you can't do nothing against the nostalgy... Time goes by, we age and we cling to what were our young years. I do it by music apparently.
don't worry about the fail post, i encountered the same problem too on Shatner Track "mic holders" :)
I'm glad you enjoyed this track. the duration is a little short, i think i need to work again on it.
One more time thanks for sharing your feeling! i appreciate, you know it
ha ha Silver! don't worry about it :) i understood your comment and i guessed it was a joke ;)
usually i try to write my comments in english but sometimes, when i need to use technical words or if i need to share a particular feeling, words misses me. If my google translator permite me to find the appropriate word, no problem i post in english but if it's not possible, i apologise but i prefer write in my natural langage, in french :)
Be sure my comment was full of congratulations, i already told you i really and sincerely like your work ;)

Very nice.Similar to the classics.I really enjoyed it.Here is a wonderful bass. How did you do this?I have not yet obtained such a bass to do.Maybe because I only use free plugins? :)
Hello MasterZool,
thanks for your friendly words, very appreciate ;) i went on your page to discover your work too :)
about the bass line, i played it with my "matt freeman" precison bass. I recorded it with soundforge, i retailed one shoot, reworked in recycle software before injecting it in my composition under Reason :)
The most part of plugins i use in my music software are free too :)
Thanks again for taking time to comment my track :)

Hey Bleep, man this is slick bro. I love the staggered entrance intro. You sure know how to arrange. Considering the length, I never got bored due to all the change ups and progressions. Great use of percussion throughout, especially the drop sections that adds dynamics and breaks up repetition. I'm really impressed by the fact that your playing/programming everything yourself. The sax and the tremelo guitar are excellent additions that really peak the production value quotient. I really dig house music and will be looking forward to sampling more of your work.
Hello Neo,
thanks for your friendly comment, your words are really appreciate ;)
Cool to read you liked this track. Indeed, I am autonomous when I work on a piece (writing until production) but I have only small means. I think moreover that most of the artists at our level make the same thing: they build up by themselves their home own studio.
No problem for sampling my work, i'll be glad to listen the final result.
Driving down the neon strewn streets of the nineties our hero is restless. He's wearing sunglasses at night and not even the come hither looks of the painted ladies of the evening can bring a smile to his face. He doesn't have a destination or a plan, but the odds are he'll find what he's looking for. The streets are dirty, violent and filled with animals wearing the faces of men. That's fine by him.
Nice baseline, and an awesome muted melody using the piano and other stabs. Very much like Chicago House. Love the tremlo guitar in the last third of the song. gives off a great chilled vibe.
good work!
Cru
Hey Cru,
Thanks for sharing your feeling about this sound :) (i saw you recently changed your logo, nice choice ;))
about the bass line, as toastedavalanche noticed it, i took care to create an interplay with the piano. Your reference to chicago make me happy because it's a great place for house music! thank you very much for your friendly words, i appreciate it :)
Hey Bleep,
I really like the bass playing on this which has a vintage feel to it it also had a nice back beat. Nice combination of the various instruments too i loved the outro Good work Bleep. best regards Robbie.
I tried to render a sensual groove with the bass line but i didn't thought it could be vintage too :) it's a good surprise to read this kind of feeling ^^
I'm always afraid when I mix the piece at the end that the duration can be boring in the listening. It seems not to be the case :)
thanks for listening ;) and your joy bomb was a real good surprise for my ears too :)
Very nice intro to the track with the riff of the different instruments. The bass is fantastic! The music flows so well and natural that it seems like the song wrote itself. Very well done :) next time maybe add some more reverb to the different instruments to make them feel more real.
thanks for your comment and your advice about reverb ;)
if the songs could write thereselves, it will be wonderfull lol unfortunatly a human touch is necessary :D
I'm loving the soulful funk feeling that this track has. The interplay between the piano and the bass is nice. The playful little saxophone parts sit nicely in the mix and colour the music well.
One thing I would say is, for me, the piano stabs get a little repetitive after a while. Maybe try playing around with the EQ, Reverb and maybe pan it about as the track progresses? It's only a small quibble. The track, as a whole, is really great. I enjoyed listening to it :)
I think i should too upgrade the saxo volume no?
About the piano, you're right, it's a little repetitive! thanks for the advice, I shall look how I can develop it in the purpose to establish itself better in the general atmosphere!
Before answering you i went to see what is "cowboy bebop". First i thought it was a band and finally i see it was a japanese manga. I never watched it lol
i will try to find music from this! thanks for your comment
