Well no you haven't. Carole King wrote it for Aretha with Gerry Goffin in around 1967/68. Carole King put it out on her Album Tapestry in around 1971/72 I think. So Aretha recorded it first!!

Wow! Richie did his thing again. I like the live sounds. Patricia I would love your voice no matter what you sing. I might need your help on a few of my work. Of course Richie could help to. lol.

As much as I love Aretha's version of this song, I used to prefer Carole King's as she wrote it, but now I prefer yours. I think everyone below has said this eloquently enough and I'm sure you already know what I think about your voice. I also know that this family of ours would be an emptier place without you in it.
