This song is very soothing. I like how it jukes you out at the begining. I was actually thinking of it as a rap song until the guitar came in, and still I was kinda iffy. Then you came in with the words, and by the end of the guitar solo, i was sold brotha. Good work
would you be offended or upset if i tried to cover this?
you are awesome! I love the british accent you have.. it's just sitting there in the mix soo real and soo well.. to be honest reminds me of the smiths or the cure... which I think is amazing lol
dude, even the beatles
and i mean that in a complimentary way, you definitely have style on this
You ever noticed how like? some british artists sing with an english/US accent?.. american accent, and then some artist, from the u.s., they sing like a british accent or.. you know..
ahh
i am ranting..
but you know what i mean? some artists just have that phonetic thing, and i really enjoy it on this track...
ahem, i feel dumb
Hi man,
Really appreciated your very kind review.I'd love to hear your version, especially cause I like your work as you know.Funny what you said about the accent because I always feel you can hear my French accent on most of my songs!
Do you want me to send you the tracks or chords of the song?
Cheers
French Kid
I really like the style of the vocals on this track. I think that's what makes this song sound so 80's. That's a good thing, I love 80's music in general. Very nice guitar playing on this one too. Nice work!
Thanks a lot!Funny you write this review cause I was about to check your page again.Think your tracks really have something special so I was won dering about collabing with you if you're interested(love your rhodes loops!).Cheers

Funny seeing how many people have listened to this at least twice but I'm writing the 4th review. I like this song specifically because it's constantly surprising. I didn't expect the guitars, then I didn't expect the vocals. Happy surprises, to be sure. You're amazing with arrangement and seem to know exactly where each instrument should be in relation to the others. If this were my track, and I was going to revise it again, I think I'd try to pull the guitars up somewhere (not all the time) to give them a bit more presence. Very nice work here, and an enjoyable song as well!
[EDIT] Having listened to Salook's remix, I had to come back to the original. Hurrah! It's as good as I remember, but sounds like you've refined it? Surprised I didn't fave it before, and certainly doing that now!
Thanks very much for this kind and interesting review.I also think the track lacks consistancy(does that word really exist in English?!?)somehow, maybe needs more guitar as you noticed. If you want,I can send you the tracks so you can add something.Let me know
Cheers

I like the way you mixdown your song,
all your sound and your instrument come from
different style and mood, but when all of the sound mix together
is very nice and unique
Many people spend a lot of times to find them Signature
of they songs but you already have!!!
Thanks very much for this nice review. The thing is I'm never really thinking about genres so I just write songs the way I feel.
I'm gonna check your tracks. Thanks again.

very good work here, i love your sounds, your loops are rocking as well. If you would like to do a "joint" venture please keep me in mind..totally amazing track... definitely grabs you and draws you in
Yeah! Great mix, no doubt about it. I love the panning going on in this, and how none interferes with the vocals.
There are elements in you vocal qualities that remind me a lot of Echo and the Bunnymen. Maybe for me this is emphasized because of the ambient qualities of the piece, and the intro guitar.
Smooth, real smooth. It almost seems like its missing something, and i dont know if thats just vocals, or another instrument. But its dope. Especially when the beat kicks in at the second part. I like it, I might rap to it, If i do I'll give you full credit for the beat. And if i ever sell the song online you can get 1/2 of all profits from that song. Havent started selling music online yet. my goal is to start by 2010. much love, good track. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ StarBird-
First,thanks for the review.
I'd be very happy if you rap to it.And I'm ok for 1/2.If you want,I can send you each track of the song seperate in wma,Ithink it's better quality than sending you the whole in mp3.You just have to give me your email.Maybe you can tell me where to start to sell music online.

I was really intrigued by the title, and glad for it. The xylophone and horns have a Manhattan feel somehow. I really like how slow this whole thing is, which allows such a great staggered beat with those horns. The slower something is, the harder it is to pull off, and you've done it splendidly here! My latest addition to favs!
Hello,
Thanks for the review. The title just came to me when I finished the song and, just like you,I found it quite intriguing, that's why I left it like this.I'm happy you like the song because it's my first try with hip hop Rn'b style.

I love this kind of funk, it's got soul. The guitar playing is really good, and compliments your vocals really well. Great guitar solos by the way. Nice job! Thanks for sharing!
Damn this is nice! I like it for sure. Great selection if loops/instruments. I'm really tied up with collabs at the moment, but I'll get back at you on a possible collab. Maybe get a few others to on this too. Again, this is sick French Kid, keep it up bro.
