Ah, you gotta love FL8 lol
the melody gave my heart a little
lift
:)
Its a very happy track, Im liking
the feel of this
the only thing I wanted was a nice
basseline thrown somewhere inthere
but then again this is your interpretation
and view of dnb so that is what it will
be
I like the unusual melodies used as well
great stuff :)
Thanks for the listen Jezza, was not sure what phase meant so Wikied it and: The term, like sentence, verse etc. has been adopted into the vocabulary of music from linguistic syntax. Though the analogy between the musical and the linguistic phrase is often made, still the term "is one of the most ambiguous in music....there is no consistency in applying these terms nor can there be...only with melodies of a very simple type, especially those of some dances, can the terms be used with some consistency." So it's me and evry one else :-)
Nevertheless I agree with your comment, I don't this mix of two elements stands up to close examination, and I wish I could have done a better job with Eshars track, still trying to grow, with very little time between work and well you know the rest of things............. Peace.
Steevo strikes again with a great dancefloor track, you had me boucing at 9 am, great use of the vocals (love Holly) the way you fitted her in the arrengments, great electro vibe to the production, mixed perfect, great job Steevo.
I'd say more slow breakbeat, almost electro? not a dnb track. Atleast at the beggining, it wasnt addressed as one. I like it though, smooth. Violins and game sounds at the end were nicely placed. Good one.
Well captured mood and scene. I think this is the first time I've listened to your music! I like this track a lot. Beautiful strings and chilled groove, along with some ethnic instrumentto add the spice. Good production and mix = thumbs up Len!!!
Yeah FL8, just so easy to use. Not every ones cup of tea, but I note a lot of loopers use it, and earlier versions, messed around with Reason many moons ago, but you know what they say about old dogs, lol. Thanks for listening and taking the time to write a few words. Cheers.
Pretty eclectic tune Steevo. Had some very good loops in there. The organ and that electronic steel drum going does give it that reggae feel. Then it jumps out with the drum and bass elements. Good job, I loved it =D
are you kidding its like finding the perfect girl and when you make love with her you are both in heaven. Wow, I'm blown away, I feel like I'm back in groovy dub London. Thanks for a great track, and yes I think they match, lol.
Thanks, laid back seems to my thing, I didn't know it until I started to knock a few tunes out. Gotta try and make something a bit harder soon, before I just fall right off to sleep ha ha.
Ta, yeah like to keep them smooth, too much negative sounding music around, lets hear a rap song with a positive up lifting vibe, for instance, that'll be something.
Thanks Will, hard to know when to stop messing with a track sometimes, think it best to just leave them alone for a week or two then come back to em' with a new set of ears :-).
"Go ahead and crank the autotune to "Tpain" on the vox."
haha...(I can't stand T Pain or any autotune rapper... uggg)
Ok now that's done.
When you have that little brushing sound in the background with the vox run it through delay and make it sweep through a filter, it will add another dimension, and maybe even sweep the dry/wet on the delay.
This is definetly musically good. your chords/lead lines are stable and catchy and your harmonies remain consonant. however it does show that you don't have a whole lot of experience with the program, but i mean this in a good way, When i first started with FL about a year back it sounded kind of like this but after working with it more the musicality - which you have - combines with your experience to make somthing great. so keep up what youre doing because you are on the right track definetly.
Hey Steevo!
Great groove you have goin on here! I think the vox are a liitle out of time before the drums come in..but should be easy to fix and a little delay on the vox will warm them up a bit..pads are perfect..

Only problem i can see is there isnt much of a natural vibe with the lyrics, theres far too much "phase" which, spoils the backing vibe.
but hey keep it up :P

The mix could be a little louder too.
Great track!
