Thanks. I don't really like how it suddenly cuts out at the end. I made it back in 2016 & didn't feel like changing history today. That's my lazy excuse.
I listened to your track earlier. The rap/spoken word lyrics and execution were really good, as was the music. Just the singing chorus vocal was a bit off.
Definitely an unusual style of hardcore here! Has the vibe of being made on a tracker to my ears, which is cool as I used to use trackers for most of my music. Was this recorded through a mixer or onto tape? I ask because there is a hiss throughout the song... possibly it is just present in some of the samples. It's not distracting, I just noticed it when I turned up the volume... Which by the way is a good thing, that your song enticed me to turn up the volume. All in all a very original and fun track!
I don't know why but I could not stop laughing when listening to this one. :D It was quite different to what I normally listen to, but was much appreciated :P Keep it up!
It's not easy to make because you have to limit yourself to what samples you can use, but if you're up for the challenge I recommend it, and it's also rewarding as the chiptune community is a positive one.
pretty cool style man, this is nice and groovy. Maybe its just my speakers but the lead synth sounds a touch too loud, good production apart from that. Well done
Yeah, I don't intend to change this track in particular, though I have made an alternative hard dance version with a bigger bass. You can find that track on my YouTube or SoundCloud page if you like. It distorts easily if your equalizer settings have the bass turned up too much though.
Thanks, the original sample used I think is on this site somewhere. It's hard for me to keep track of/credit every sample I use because I use many of them, and frequently. Though I have started to credit properly when I use main melodies that 'make' the song, such as Bdenney's great recent anthem work which can be found on this site..
Very nice track overall, though I feel like a sidechain on the kick and the first drop could make it sound a little better, I'm not completely sure though.
While I feel that this is not strictly 8-bit chiptune music, but instead glitch, I still enjoy the idea of the song. I realize you have used some 8 bit sounding synths in there of course, so there's that... I like the tribal feel of this. Also the Street Fighter reference is a good move! The 8 bit sounds are VST I'm assuming? Good enough for government work as we say around here. Fun track, and kudos for the creative commons release!
Yeah, it's a dance tune primarily, with chiptune sounds. I do have a few pure chiptune tracks available elsewhere. I figured there's a growing need of royalty free music in general in this day & age so I dedicate some of my time to it. The samples are from the internet but not are VST as far as I know. Thanks for the comment.

I recorded this particular track using the traditional smoke & signal method + catapult for good measure..lols
on a serious note.. it turns out that we both have the golden ears, because you are indeed correct about the humming
Someone should hire us for QC I reckon!
I'll need to quickly make up a story about how the humming was intended all along lmao
