It feels very cinematic. It could be a theme song for something dark and moody. Excellent percussion throughout. The build to the guitar at 2:25 is incredibly well done. You have a great guitar tone. Whatever that panning sound is at 4:02 it's awesome. This is pretty much a perfect track.
Hey thx for your kind words mate appreciate
I use a strange guitar from the 80's called a Bond Electraglyde. It's in carbon not in wood made the sound is a bit special. Check it on the web you'll see what it looks like.
Cheers
I too have a past of uneven mixing, and it's good to go back into the old folders and files and try stuff again with all the new learning. It can be revelatory. I enjoy this piece and its sneaky guitar melodies but it does seem quite loose and therefore, perhaps, not so memorable. There's nothing at all wrong with that - it can be a sort of jazzy journey and not conform to any rigid structure. But I do think there might be ways of shaping it so the melodies are showcased more. As a thought.
At the time i use to make my track with a Yamaha A3000 sampler and a keyboard sequencer with only 8 tracks. So it was a bit a prehistoric way of doin it. But it was also great fun.
I done some edition from the first version (and add the intro too) but i may still a bit to stuck with the old version to get a really brand new one if you know what i means. But i like his non "strutured track"
But surely another commercial suicide track ! Ahaha !!
Interesting intro. There's quite a bit going on in this. I love what sounds like a background vocal running through a delay. The guitar lead is quite pleasant to the ear as well. Very interesting & well produced track.
The pads and synths are working well with the well mixed percussion and drums, they aren't banging hard but still make an impression. Like Rexsaw said, the softer textural feel to the track is cool, mellow.
I've taken the time to listen to four of your tracks and I can see a variation between each of them starting from your first to your last track. There is a base experimental style to each, but all have a very nice feel to them. I especially like this one; where you're not afraid to push the envelope and overdrive some of the sounds. Even with the distortion you've managed to keep it relaxing, very well done.
Hey thx for your kinds words and curiosity mate
And you're right i like diversity (which is a financial disaster in music bizness ha !) but i also like to keep in mind that those tracks could be done live with a bass, drum and guitar (and may be fews samples too)
Cheers !
Oh yeah as Alexander said it it's a very etheral sort of track and the texture is what i was looking for, or at least what i wanted to experiment in that mix.
Thx for the feedback !
Great composition; I really love the sound profile. It has a nice, soft tone that works well with the sonics. Time well spent on a job well done. Thanks for sharing! Rexsaw
fantastic hit single...I don't take a stand because of bass, so I like it in total sound ...:-)
typical Indieground...creative, fusion-like, bombastic music...but it is also true that you haven't written such a hit yet ...:-)
I feel like unstableonthetrack pretty much nailed any discussion about the bass. The percussion is pretty cool. The section from 1:18 - 1:45 is very nice.
I like the idea and execution. I do not however like the way the low end/bass feels.. I feel like there's an entire range from 150 down that is empty and wanting. There was multiple points in the song you had a break and when you came back in I wanted the bass to tear me to pieces, but a soft 808 hits and it's almost depressing.. Very good switch ups, transitions, and ideas, but like I said, it feels like it's lacking some serious bass/punch and the mid range feels a little virgin.
WOW! Blew my fucking mind. So many good parts of this composition I would love to sample, I hope that would be ok with you. If not I will not touch the track. Great mixing and mastering too, you really nailed this one.
Oh-ho-ho! Do ya love this? Yes! I do! I can see some choreographed dancing, live and in living color. It's funky and I funky like it! :-) Have you found someone to sing on it yet?
