I knew I should've played this the other day, the summer solstice! Got distracted... Very happy and summery vibe :D felt like I was in the tropics! Wow it's hot, need A C :p
nice vibes all over this track would concur this would sound great with a deep female vocal , all in all well balanced track , like the soaring strings
good work
Like the synths and melodies. I guess I can hear a bit of imbalance between the low frequencies. There a lil bit louder. Listening on headphones. Other than that, has great instrumentation. Digging the vibes. Also, I'll get back to you bout the beach waves track. Nice work. peace
hey this was one track i was waiting to listen to.. thanks ludwick.
i like the synth part from 1.00 and also the string plucks are great.
yeah i feel this may need a vocal(but for some minimal use only).i think a female vocal should be great
TJ.
I seriously enjoyed this one, EL. That flute and harp (?) accompaniment really complimented each other well and was definitely a good call in my opinion. You're getting better and better man. You're getting closer and closer to a quality that competes with the stuff out on the radio today.
This deserves a proper critique. I love the intro, dark and light intertwining. a simple bass drum, the reverse pads have a nice chord progression, and a very nice drop @ :48 leads to faux cellos and some faux pipes. Again a dark underbelly but a light exterior which I can appreciate quite a bit. 1:45 we are bringing in harps and than pan flutes. 2:30 we bring it back down again. I agree this needs some vocals, I can hear in my head a mezzo-soprano ranged singer who can sing soft and then bring on the heat when you bring the pan pipes in, because you need the contrast. Musically there is not enough of a contrast in the instrumentation. To give you an idea on the dance-house spectrum where this song belongs you need to go back and listen to this classic from Limahl (giorgio moroder) to understand possibly what to do with the lyrics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gf1WT8VEZxk
All the best,
This is a good one.

Thanks so much crucethus! I'm glad that you enjoyed the track. I will take that song's vocals into account when I try to get some vocals for my own track. Thanks again for the kind words!
Stunning piece of work, nothing more to add, but just to say I'm impressed, everyone else has beaten me to the juicy bits...Massive fav...Peace n Respect...Mosaic...
PS don't know if you have changed anything with Sax?? but to me it suits piece, personally would lower it a fair bit so it isn't maybe so hard when entering....more a softer bridge...
All sounds good to me. The mix is nice and nothing realy bad in it. Don´t know what is your work, what is original, so cant say any about yours realy .....
But i can say some to the sax. I feel like it could be a bit more clear/fresh, sounds like needed some eq and some reverb.
But thats just a feeling, nothing important :)
It seems to now be your main genre. I'm sure you once told me you used to play guitar in a metal band. Did you go on a nice tropical holiday and decide that was the vibe you wanted to keep going forever? Or perhaps you've moved to a tropical island.
How about making some tropical metal?
Anyway: this is pretty pleasant, tropical stuff though I think the very start is too abrupt. Could do with some sort of intro or at least not starting right away with the vocals.
Sax seems pretty decent to me. It's a bit of a pleasant surprise and makes more sense when the kick joins it.
Overall: the vocals are a bit too much like pop music for me but the general uplifting vibe is a good one so I appreciate it.
Hey Static! First off thanks for the comment, you're always very supportive! Haha yes, I love the beach and just tropical areas in general, and living in Pittsburgh, PA. (Where i could see my breath at night on May 22nd) I find myself sometimes wanting to move to somewhere where the sun always shines and I could maybe make my music while watching the waves roll out over the shore. Now that you've got me being a dreamer, lol lets talk about the piece. I wanted the song to replicate the original in a way, so I threw in the vocal chops into the intro to do that (I'll admit, it does work better in the original, but I still liked it so I kept it in. Also, thanks for the compliments on the sax! For some reason it always sounded off to me.
In the original track, the main genre is deep house, so there is a low bass that mainly drives the piece, and I tried to replicate that underneath the pop vocals (which I really enjoy man, that girl has a beautiful voice! HOW can you NOT like it? lmao) but anyways, I'm glad that you enjoyed the piece!
Again thanks for the support on yet another one of my songs! I really appreciate the meaningful feedback and critique Static!
Hope everything is well,
Rico L.
P.s. I might take you up on that tropical metal bet.
Very pleasant experience indeed.
Have no idea what the original would of consisted of but this is brilliant.
Sounds very pro to my consumer ears.
I actually like the sax. It's a little muted as opposed to brash and in your face and I think that suits this piece very well.
Only slight niggle I have is the base that comes in at 2.47.
That to me doesn't quite sit but but but .... I have a hangover and may well change my mind after the fog has lifted.
Hey Silver man,
Thanks for the kind words! I really had fun making this track, and I'm glad that you find it professional sounding! About the niggle(that just sounds racist to me. lmao) having to do with the bass at 2:47; it is the same bass that comes in at 1:16, so it may just be the hangover lol.
Anyways, thanks so much again for the feedback!

Hi mate lovely track/mix, well produced and sounding really sweet. I take your point about the sax, but the only way around it would be to have someone do a live piece or a specially recorded part. I think its fine for the track as it stands though.
Hey paul,
Thanks for the critique! I think I'm actually going to just keep the sax in here for now, everyone seems to like it, but a live recording actually would be really really nice. Maybe one day! haha
