Hey Leon ardo,
Do you know that our friend Silverman is selling Ice cream now?
I think it is time for me to make an ICE CREAM track for him now???
What do you think????

Orlando51 replied 9th Nov 2017 - 8 years ago
Oh, yes...ofcourse I know...:) I usually eat ice cream only in summertime so I' might not be buying much for now...haha
...but since it seems you have a knack to make songs on
different Silverman's affairs, it might well be a nice opportunity for another one...:) I'm curious even if it's almost winter...^^

Cheers my friend_____Leon

I still think it is absolutely one of your best Leon...I didn`t a-b it with the other version but as you mentioned the production may be kicked up a notch in this one....In any case....it is a superb piece of musical art in every regard....Bravo........Ed

Welcome my friend!

If you say so, then it must be so...maestro can't be wrong,
so I'm gladly accepting it as one of my best...afteral that
was briefly my own first thought when I finished it (been extremely pleased with it) but soon the next day I wasn't so sure anymore. I'm also glad you're noticing the slight improvement compared to the SC mix. Sometimes the quick made things are the best ones. It took me 2-3 days from the intial few bangs on my keyboard to the first mix and mastering (SC mix), but then it took me another whole day to make aforementioned improvements, but I guess it was more hairsplitting than anything else...haha...

Thank you so much Ed for stopping by for another listen and for telling me some generous words that I won't easily forget ! I'm also most grateful for the 'fav'...
...means the world!:)

With maximum appreciation and respect_____Leon

Whoa ! I have always been impressed with your work Orlando but man this is quite frankly on a different level, maybe even the highest I have seen here. I am totally blown away by this ! It's an amazing piece in every sense. I don't even want to present anything specific in fear that I may embarrass myself. As I listened I was trying to think of the word to describe the style or feel I was getting from it and then I read Steve's comment and there it was...Victorian. Even though the typical Halloween tracks usually include varying amounts of cliche sound effects, which I'm not opposed to because they are mainly part of the fun aspect and what most consider Halloween to be about. It is good that you kept this clean and retained its serious nature. You know I once met a real vampire? Oh yes, Vampires are real. There is actually a huge cult following that exists world wide. But I met this girl many years ago who confessed to me she was a vampire and tried to get me to stay with her and join her family as she described it. Her apartment was kept very dark (she had aluminum foil over all her windows), She had blood in jars in her refrigerator and I saw pictures of ritual parties that included blood letting. She even had her canine teeth shaped into fangs in her mouth. Needless to say, I only went on the one date. She scared me to no end but did open my eyes to accept and believe that certain things exist that we would like to think don't. Excellent track my friend. Straight to fave and download !

Hey Neo!

Much pleasure to hear from you again after quite some time!
I have to admit immediately that it's real rarity to receive such a positive and comprehensive feedback. I must
say I'm truly honoured by all that positivity you're showing. Very surprising and amusing is also your story about the vampire girl. You should introduce her to me one day...:)^^

Many thanks again for this lovely and generous feedback, as well for the'fav' and 'dl'...means alot!

Hello Orlando.
I just was listen to some of my loved stuff and said to me - well Joe go to looperman and see what music is around - and in mind i told myself - well it is not really fair to listen to some so good music and then go to the loop, cause it is always hard for the most to stand against (or at lest on) the high standarts of professional stuff. But you did it! Really well done in all ways. Sounds, mix, composition, feeling and so on. What can or shall i say? Very professional stuff and i can really enjoy listen to this kind of music. Ok, not really Halloween feeling inside but that makes it even better :)
Very pleasant one and sure one of the best songs in that style here on looperman.

stay tuned

Hey Joe!

Always a pleasure to hear from you! This wasn't really ment as a typical halloween tune, maybe even the opposite of it
but I think it still preserves some nods for the occasion.
I'm really glad and grateful for your very positive and generous feedback...it's even a rarity to receive such a favourable review....thank you so much for that!:)

Your description was certainly helpful in understanding how you approached the concept of this track and went about it's execution. A listener can sink his teeth into a romantic, cinematic, vampire ballad which has me oozing blood out of every pore, it's really neck and shoulders above what I expected.

Fangs a lot for posting this!

Thank you so much mate for truly positive reaction on my one and only 'halloween'(?) tune. Maybe it shouldn't have been put in this context but now it's done and who cares.:)

Wow my dear friend...your words may well be far too generous. As a complete amateurish musician I'm light years away from any kind of professional standards. And again, is
this my best work so far? To tell you the truth, when I finished it I was incredibly satisfied with it and for the brief moment I really had that glimps of thought "Could this be my finest hour to date?" But when I listened to it again
next morning I was horrified, cause everything suddenly sounded terrible to my senses and I just wondered what made me so positive the evening before? The question of mood maybe? Possible! After making some slight changes on the mix I now stand somewhere in between and I think it's nothing more than good enough to share it here with my dear looperfriends like you Jamid.
Yet I'm extremely glad that you like it and that you perceive it on such a high level....thank you so much for that...and for the 'fav' ofcourse..:)

Hi Orlando.

I'm liking the subject matter. Interview with a Vampire is a classic Gothic horror with it's dark, erotic romanticism. Your narrative is a nice variation of those themes. On to the song....
I like the slow build, a fade in from black, setting the scene. The intro piano line with it's irregular stabs and key strokes helps create a tone between threatening and melancholy.
at 1:10 - do i detect a hint of Tubular bells in the background. And again at 1;50. Whether intentional or not, it's a cool reference.
The reverb is well thought out in this track. The violins give a lot of airy space for the song to breathe. The drums feel slightly more oppressive and the piano dances between the two.
Overall a great track. It drips with melancholy, mystery and dark passion.

Well done sir.

Hi mate...In the meantime I did some minor changes on the intro arrangement...made it a bit more minimalistic thus raising the tension and I hope it's for the better. As far as Tubular bells are in question I have to say that it's more coincidental than intentional...ofcourse I'm aware of it, but those influences are more or less lurking in subconsciousness and sometimes they just find the way out when the time is right. On the other hand drums are alwaysa my weak point and I think it won't be any better..haha..better that I just simply accept the fact. We all have our pros and cons and so be it...:)
Anyways I have to say big thank you for this comprehensive and friendly feedback....means alot!

This is really a relaxing piece of music, and also mysterious in the very best of ways!

For some reasons I started getting flashbacks of various songs form The Doors, such as "Riders On The Storm." Maybe if Jim M had lived much much longer, then The Doors would have delved into works such as this. Once people like Ed and yourself made it past age 27, then you already had an advantage though. When you work together, that sort of advantage really shows in the work!

This is beautifully composed and very special sounding, in range and depth. I could almost imagine that I was listening to the authentic versions of the represented instruments. The unusual synthetic aspects added so much interest, and were nearly unexpected. I like the unexpected, in most cases!

Very fun and pleasing to the ears! Can't wait to hear more from your "band" as it's always a pleasure! Fave!

Most intetresting that the Doors and "Riders" come to mind,
very generous indeed. Yeah, I think we did it with Ed quite nicely this time and thank you so much for recognizing that
