Cool melodies, great all-round sound, very much like the tone of those vocals ... however, I would definitely change the sound of the bass to a bit fuller... :-)
all in all, great work,

Your musicianship, vocals and songwriting and production are excellent. The overtly Christian lyrics tentd to put me off, for probably too many and complex reasons to go into here. Just being honest. I'll keep listening though! By the way, the lyrics about the stone the builder the refused becoming the head cornerstone Bob Marley used in one of my fav songs of his Ride Natty Ride. Full of prophecy that song....

Hey, Zootman! Thanks so much for your kind words about my musicianship and songwriting. I really appreciate your honesty about the lyrics. I understand that the overtly Christian themes might not resonate with everyone, and I respect your perspective. Its great to hear that youll keep listening!

I used to rap a lot from the early 2000s to around 2013 under the stage name Rex Razor, and my songs back then were filled with anger, resentment, and demeaning statements towards my parents and others. Sometimes, we tend to want to keep our hearts dark and use that to drag others down with us. The themes were really tough. People loved those tracks, but everything changed after my encounter with the Lord. I totally get that my current direction might put some folks off.

I love that you connected my lyrics to Bob Marleys workhis music has such rich themes and depth. If you ever want to share more thoughts, Id love to hear them!

Hello RichardS.....this was beautifully done, the verses...chorus...laidback music accompaniment was well done and a pleasure to read the lyrics as I listened. And of course the whole subject takes it to the highest level and so much more powerful of a piece. It's a favorite instantly for me. Good work and effort for all involved...big shout for Kay and John as well.

another track of exceptional quality, fire bass John, standout in fact. great vocal, a great slow precious start and into that slighter high as you praise your lord and saviour, a true breath of fresh air to our ears on LM irrelevant of your belief to hear two guys singing from their hearts, extremely talented musicians playing too, keep spreading your love gents, it catches hold, truly what is not to like here, absolutely nothing....... like the Edwin Starr song War, say it again, absolutely nothing :))

How did I miss this one?! I wonder how many people do get up in time to pray or meditate at Dawn and vis A Vis - at Sunset? That sun magic is really something. This would go down well at Cafe Del Mar Ibiza for Sunrise and Sunset. I love the way you bring the power of God and uplifitng harmonies with an irresistable beat. Love it Kay0s

I can totally see it vibing at a cafe like Cafe Del Mar. I dont know exactly how it looks, never been there but judging by your description, it will be an amazing experience.
I love blending those uplifting harmonies with a beat that moves you. Keep shining.

Hey, My Shekari Smile is back! I found myself singing along to bits of this - pure joy and heartfelt love. Your songs bring such light and hope. What a dynamic trio you are and your friend's wife got my first name - it's not a particularly common name either, these days. That guitar and those harmonies - keep em comin! Kay(0s)

Hey Kay0s!

It means so much to know youre feeling the joy and love in the music, and it feels great to hear from you once again. John came up with this idea, and we pour a lot of heart into the track, so hearing that it resonates like this is incredible. Ill be sure to pass on your kind words to the rest of the team they'll be thrilled! And what a cool coincidence with your name! Just to clarify, that's John's mom, not his wife, though.

Thank you for all the encouragement, and rest assured weve got more harmonies and guitar magic coming your way!

Much love and gratitude,
Shekari

Hello, my friend, this song is just as well done as the others Ive heard, with the same distinctive voice. I respect everyone who creates music - music's purpose is to move others, make them feel something that we, as the authors, might feel, and so, even if just for a few moments, brings us all closer together. kowing that, one can see how that might go a long way toward healing the world of some of its suffering. I have suffered my share, and I struggle everyday with a leg injury that has altered the course of my life, and sometimes its hard to maintain faith. But the Big Guy Above always sends something my way to comfort me when I need it most. Your last song was exactly that for me, so Im now thanking u properlyanyway, i sent u an email. Please keep ur music and its message coming, its important that we have folks like u among us. Thank u for sharing. - Aaron

Thank you so much for your heartfelt message and for taking the time to listen to "The Light of My Soul." Your kind words truly mean a lot to me. Its always a humbling experience to know that the music resonates with others on a deep level, and Im grateful to hear that it has brought you comfort.

I am sorry to hear about your struggles with your leg injury. Its inspiring to see how your faith remains strong through it all. I believe music can indeed help us feel closer to one another and, more importantly, to the One who guides us through lifes challenges. Ill continue to do my best to keep sharing messages of hope and faith through my music.

I received your email and will respond shortly. Thank you again for your encouragement and supportit truly helps keep me going

Hey, Richard,

This is such a sweet track with a NICE! beat. I have to say your voice is a gift from GOD without a doubt and singing your praises to him is a blessing for us all to hear and I say this not to give you a big head lol praise or validation from others is nice but it is from the most high that holds much more value and is most welcomed, Abba-Father yes indeed my friend this is another sweet, sweet song by you. Never stop Glorifying the most high, this song holds strength but also gives a kind of quiet peace to the soul...Just curious, How long have you been singing and making music?...You certainly have the knack for it and do it well, your production quality is TOP shelf work. Continue to keep up the brilliant! work. Salute soldier of GOD.
Faved!

My music journey started in the early 1990s when I joined the local choir in primary school, but I had to quit when my family left the church. In the late 1990s, I discovered Tupac Shakur and fell in love with rap music. I performed his songs at parties and eventually released a rap album, *Dirty Diamond*, with a friend, but we parted ways after some betrayal. During university, personal challenges drove me deeper into rap, where I expressed my anger at life, school, family, and God.

In 2010, something dangerous happened with my music career, and the Lord helped me reconsider my path. I took a break and started focusing on more positive vibes. By 2014, after a significant spiritual encounter, I shifted fully to singing, moving away from rap. Inspired by the Canadian band *Christ Our Life*, I began studying worship music. I also started producing music at home, investing in gear and learning through YouTube tutorials. My music now blends experiences from both the world and the church.

hello Richard, nice to meet you and your music.
so catchy and uplifting, this is good work my friend.
love that synth sound you bring in at 0:52 and also the one at 1:10. subtle but very effective.
the mix really speaks to me, i can tell every element is well considered and fits beautifully.
your vocals are very well recorded and mixed as well, it's a joy to listen to everything coming together.
you are an excellent singer, musician and engineer, my friend.

Hi Savino,

Thank you so much for your kind words! I really appreciate your attention to detail; those synth sounds are definitely some of my favorites too. I might not know much about sound theory, but I trust my ears and embrace a lot of trial and error! I'm always learning and open to gaining more knowledge from people like you.

My vocal experience comes from singing in a small community choir from 1991 to 1996, and its been quite the journey since then. It means a lot to hear that the mix resonated with you. Your support truly inspires me to keep creating. Wishing you all the best!

Take care,
Richard
