Hi Richard!
Great and beautiful song. If I understood well you did the music under the pella. You made a humble work really. All my hats off.
Fistbump,
Danke

Hi Danke!

Thank you so much for the kind feedback! Yup, you're right I did the music underneath the a cappella, but not every time.

I love the idea of cooking the instrumental, writing the lyrics, and composing all at once, though its always been a bit tricky. When those three elements collide chaotically, I tend to lose the track and get a little frustrated, haha. But hey, it's all part of the process!

I'm really glad you enjoyed it. Your feedback means a lot!

Fistbump right back at you!

On my goodness, this is the BEST track I have heard from you - they are all good but this has such 'on point' vocals and flawless harmonies. I love the opening, the way it introduces the lyrics and the hook 'Hallowed be thy Name' is pure genuis. I had to look up 'Yahweh'. When I did, it made total sense as it reminded me of Wayne Dyer's 'I Am' Meditation and they we are, all in essence, God as we are all of one divine source. Kay

Hi Richard,
Another heartfelt song of praise, by you that is just AWESOME! you have the ability to make your audience feel your song because every word counts for something much greater than ourselves. We who have a strong belief and connection to the most high find that peace within, even in the mist of chaos we can find it with unshakeable faith regardless. Love is stronger than hate, I'm all about peace and love always have been, it sometimes triggers people too which is weird but it won't stop me. The embrace of the lord is without a doubt Life-Giving Water, what a wonderful thing to have no matter what the world throws our way. Keep doing what you do it is such a breath of fresh air to hear your AMAZING! songs of worship. Kudos!

Hello RichardS....first I agree with VintageN, this definitely has a nice country stomp and clap feel along with the banjo twang and a real hallelujah shout for the masses to once and for all recognize the reason we're all here in the first place.....it's a well done track once again my friend.

The best artists are always humble, Richard. Your vocals are where u shine, but your are certainly no novice. Much of the stuff that u learn about vocals, such as keys etc, apply to other areas of music, as well. It gives u a head start, so to speak. I attended Vincennes school of Music for a single semester years ago, but I learned alot more about bong hits and beer funnels than anything else lol. I learned more of what i know about music theory on my own as a guitarist and later as a DJ. I feel your past experiences prepared u well for your current endeavors. When it comes to learning, that never stops for any of us, and that applies to every member of this community, myself not the least. And u have the power of conviction on your side , as well - u believe in what youre doing, and that translates into your work. Whenever i comment on something, I try to say the most helpful things i can. And in your case, its usually about important your work is to have here, and how naturally talented you are. That alone is enough to carry some people, but u have more than that. Dont discount yourself. brother. U are skilled at what you do. and I know for sure Im not alone in that belief. This is the LM equivalent to me shaking your hand, my man.

Thanks so much for the thoughtful words, Pnnywze. I really appreciate itit means a lot to me. I agree, its important to always keep ourselves in check; learning never stops, and our unique experiences shape our music. Your insight is spot onbelieving in what you do and having conviction truly makes a difference in the work. I definitely won't discount myself, and your encouragement reinforces that. Its great to be part of such a supportive community, and Im grateful for you being a part of it. Appreciate you, my man.

Another one? wow bro, I think u might surpass me on productivity, and Ive rarely leave my desk these last few weeks lol. This one feels like a gear change from what u usually do, not that its a bad thing. Quite the opposite. The Vibe is pure joy - and i dont think anyone could hear this and not be affected by it. When a man truly loves what he does, its plain for all to see. well, in this case, plain for all to hear. Youre a great artist, Richard.

Hey Pnnywze, thanks so much for the kind words! Honestly, I'm not that good at music productionI'm more of a "work by ear" kind of person. Once it feels right to me, I share it, but Im fully aware there are much more professional producers out there. Still, I feel compelled to share what I can.
I also only do this after office hours, and that's if my daughter allows me some time! So, its a bit of a side project for me, but I really appreciate you taking the time to listen and share your thoughts. Means a lot.
I know Ive got a lot to learn, and I want to make it a habit next year to focus more on mixing and mastering. And I cant even play any real instrumentscan you believe that? Haha! And just for your info, I use Adobe Audition 1.5 (best believe that!) for recording and mixing vocals, while FL Studio handles the beat production. Then I pull the wave file back into FL for final mastering, haha! The vocal part is actually from an experience when I was in the choir at a small-town church in my teens

again spreading your love and passion, i like your message, i too also like the ideas suggested that you incorporate a female flava, you surely have a female voice in your flock. adding harmonies when your sing the words i can here a female pitched up saying it clean behind your barritone, i also think it is the next step up for you and John working with a female that clearly has your passion it will work and widen your appeal , its more inclusive too, they are the true life bringers, like mother nature herself. keep up the great work
RichardShekari
RichardShekari replied 19th Nov 2024 - 1 year ago
I agree, having that balance will bring something unique and dynamic to the sound, and Im excited to explore that next step. Working with someone who shares the same passion will definitely elevate the music and help it connect on a deeper level with a wider audience. You're absolutely right, there's something powerful about the feminine energy, like Mother Nature herself. Im pumped to keep pushing forward and evolving.
Thanks again for the encouragement, it means a lot!

Very nice and melodic song my friend , I just think how make it even better, need some female vocal to hit some high notes in backstage cos you sing so flat I cant get any emotion from track. We all musicians here more or less ...so I believe you got my point
RichardShekari
RichardShekari replied 19th Nov 2024 - 1 year ago
Hi, Leo.
Thank you so much for your feedback. I truly appreciate your honest and insightful suggestions. Adding female vocals for those high notes is an excellent idea. I can see how it would bring more emotion and depth to the track. Ill definitely keep that in mind as I refine it or for possible future tracks. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts!

Spreading love and peace - so important right now. Lovely, melodius. I had a vision - a beautiful flute piece after the first verse - conjures up images of seagulls over water. Beautiful. Kay
