I started this track back in 2007 and stumbled across it after my computer crashed. I did not have lyrics for it or a bridge. So I saw it had "good bones" and completed it. The guitars are stock with the DAW I am using, "M-Audio KeySession". This was before I knew there was so much talent on "The Loop":)
Sweet just not long ago checked this one out on Spelljammers profile, when saw it here, had to listen and review again, totally amazing, excellent collab been you 3,stunning work, thinking you and Patrica here on the loop, are right at the top if not the top, when it comes to female vocals, always a complete pleasure listening to you ladies sing...Peace n love....Mosaic formly ELSD....
Knew I was going to love this piece, right from the moment it started,it was cemented when you started your vocal, such a stunning vocal girl, so much soul and feeling in it, prob you and AJ here are the most gifted artist here, when it comes to soul music, but as I have learnt over time, you do have great variety, with your vocal what you can deliver whatever the genre is, this track is testament to that...Amazing girl...totally amazing...Peace and much respect...Mosaic formly ELSD....
Thank you so much, my dear friend. My father's passing is a great loss to me. Even with his passing, there are a lot of people, who did not really know my father, continue to pass judgement on him based on a piece of fiction. That piece of "fiction", dressed up to look like "non-fiction", cost my father his career and eventually, his life. When your entire livelihood is predicated upon your acceptance and that is destroyed, you cease to exist. This is what happened to my father. He died long before he drew his last breath. His death was not due to another type of intoxication besides that of hate. Hate, which was beyond his control. So, it consumed him and he let go in order to be in peace.
I still carry a lot of pain, but with the Lord's healing salve, I keep pressing on.
Did not mean to ramble on, but thank you so much for your appreciation.
Wow nice rock piece, has a very good club/pub sound about it, say that in a good way by the way, very surprised this has not been reviewed more then it has at this stage, liking the vocals, as always Allens brilliance on the guitar, that man is so talented, very nice work by you both...Peace Mos formly known as ELSD....
Thank you so much ELSD for your appreciation. There was no taken by your mention of a club/pub sound. The track has a mixture of "metal", "Rock", "Hip-Hop", "R&B" and "Gospel". The mix of the R&B and Hip-Hop would give the track the "heart-beat", sittin' in the pocket, which will make you move. Then the energy of the Rock and Metal. In other words, you hit the nail on the head:)
With most of my music, I love to mix genre types. Just like with making a stew, if you cooked all of the vegetables separately, they have their specific taste, but it is just that taste. It's only when you mix the vegetables and cook them down together, do you get the flavor of that union. Okay, time for lunch...lol.
God bless ELSD and have a wonderful rest of the week.
This is incensed - taking it up in ever-increasing spirals - truly lifting - Twanna that is intense and stripped-down chanting against the electronic elements, and with Allen as your foil it is one complex and rewarding masterwork - crazy respects!
Thank you so much MStokes. It felt great to complete the track. I know now why I did not finish it years ago...AllenV. His artistry took the track to another level.
Wow .... what a wonderful voice!
I think that my friend Barry, to written below everything there was to write .... I'm under a spell .... Super music also ....
This was a wonderful way to get my day started. Beautiful instrumentation with a wonderful bass line. This one went well with my morning coffee. I and all of the birds in my backyard absolutely loved it :)
EPIC, EPIC, and should I say EPIC!!!! The dynamics in this one are absolutely breathtaking. Your vocals just soar like a bird in the winds. Stunning in every way possible.
I do miss the "favorite" button at times like these.
Thank you so much my dear friend for your review. I truly missed the Looper Community while I took my sabbatical. I need to do that sometimes to get a renewed perspective on things (music).
I shared this song with my mother a while back as I was compiling the music. It, at the time, only contained a scat vocal. She asked me to complete it and this is the outcome. We both were pleased with the outcome and I am so glad you are too.
Have a blessed week, my friend and I look forward to hearing from you again soon.
Lovely melody. I could listen to this on one of my favourite chillout albums. Sounds very professional. Loving the beats and laid back synths. Nice erotic voice too!
Thanks for the upload.
Take care
Thank you so much for your kind review.
I also recorded a remix of this track. I added background vocals and a hook... http://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/103147 The additional vocals add another flavor.
I noticed you use M-Audio Ozone. I use M-Audio KeySession.
I have not heard of M-Audio Ozone, so I will be taking a trip to your space to hear it in action:)
I love your variety in your music. This is one of those tracks.
An electronic blues, not mainstream rhythms of blues in this one.
The distortion sound keeps somehow the darkness away that i hear, the darkness is lifted up by the vocal element.
Great job
you asked me what indoor cycling is, well it is intensive work-out on a bike, with climbing, spinning recovery, seated climbs etc.
This piece of music is perfect for a recovery moment in the work-out. These lessons is in groups.
I hope your question is answered.
all the best my friend
The first thing that i thought was Yeah Get down, for me that is the the rhythm in this amazing track. Prince elements in this track, specially how the guitar is played, really it is a great one.
And that pushing drum, gets to me.
Great job for he both of you.
Every time I sit down to listen to one of your songs, I am star struck. Everything from your phrasing to your control, perfect pitch.....you are what I call a "singer's singer." If anyone is interested in how to do this the right way, they simply need to only stop by and listen to your work.
The bass line is amazing on this one, and the guitar solo, well, fantastic. Absolutely flawless.
But that should be no surprise because you continually set the bar very, very high.
Ms. Twanna, this is fantastic. My oh my, what a wonderful vibe you have created here, beautiful mix with everything sitting so nicely. The bass line is just wicked good.
Another fantastic effort from one of the Loop's finest. I hope you have been well. Thanks for sharing this one.
Hello...hello...hello Mr. Bear. Thank you so much for stopping by and paying a visit:) I so appreciate you sentiments. As I mentioned to Dylan (SpellJammer) there is a REMIX of this track with bg vox: http://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/103147
The speaking part is still there, but it is now a "call & response" type thing.
Yesssssss. Looooooove it T. I echo Thyroid's sentiments, really awesome chilled out type aura you have going on in this one. Love the drums and overall arrangement. You rock babe. Love it.
