Hello SxL, WoW!! That is your voice? Why do you need lessons? haha, You're teaching us! haha. Nice coLab, the piano is perfectly fitting mood for your voice and how you felt those sounds from within. You sound a lot different than I remember when you first started here. Its incredible. Hope life is well for you and please keep singing Peace.

Well, this piece has its time. And actually Matt (Cyberwave Orchestra) made the mix and mastering, so he fixed the fails of my recording. The most recent of my voice it's here (min 3:34): http://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/170856

Maybe is because I was making an improvisation (no backing track, no chords and no metronome... even no lyrics, just random syllabes), but I really feel that I need to improve.

I had those accapellas uploaded, but I deleted for the same reason we were talking about.
It doesn't hurts much when people steal tracks or loops of mine... many of the instruments I use are freeware... but when it's my voice... that's personal.

Well, I wish I have more time to practice and sing, sadly I have no time for my work (yeah, I finished my career [5 years in Engineering of Information Systems] and now I work as secretary... that's what you get when you are not wealthy here in SouthAmerica. Music, as career, is only for rich).

Anyway, thanks for listen and comment!

Beautiful piece, SolilxLune. Short, but sweet! Don't ever feel like you are not good enough to work with 'a musician.' You ARE a musician and your voice is your instrument. They are probably happy to have you working with them. I know we'd have you in a minute!

Ciao,
M.

Thank you very much for your words. But I'm concious that I need to improve. I have to learn music theory, harmony, melody and all that music stuff that are necessary for a good work. I really want to do my best, but I will not do until I learn how to sing. I don't want to be mediocre. So, I have to practice more.

Thanks again for listen and comment!

Just a test you say....sounds great to me...really fine job on the vocal and the accompaniment it a fantastically rich piece of music...so much so that the repetitiveness is not really noticable & the track is short anyway...bravo...Ed

Thanks for your words. But, even when I like to make collabs, I still feel that I'm not enough good to work with a musician. Sadly music classes are very expensive here. Well, I guess it doesn't matter.
Thanks for listen and comment!

No snowfall yet this year ;) I did one about falling snow as well, Farm in winter on Midisparks pg. Sure does have that holiday feeling. Use whatever DAW you're comfortable with and don't let anyone make you feel bad about it. Music lessons are free online, so much free info!! Practice, experiment, grow :D You're pretty good to begin with so if you do start some classes you'll find things making sense quite quickly. Not required for making music, but does help make sense of things. I find when I learn something new I have to try it in a composition.
It's like watching the snow drifting slowly to the ground on Christmas eve.

The Snow - Emily Dickinson

It sifts from Leaden Sieves -
It powders all the Wood.
It fills with Alabaster Wool
The Wrinkles of the Road -

It makes an even Face
Of Mountain, and of Plain -
Unbroken Forehead from the East
Unto the East again -

It reaches to the Fence -
It wraps it Rail by Rail
Till it is lost in Fleeces -
It deals Celestial Vail

To Stump, and Stack - and Stem -
A Summer’s empty Room -
Acres of Joints, where Harvests were,
Recordless, but for them -

It Ruffles Wrists of Posts
As Ankles of a Queen -
Then stills it’s Artisans - like Ghosts -
Denying they have been -

Actually, I've never seen a snowfall. Here in Ecuador snow doesn't exist, specially in Guayaquil (where I live). The weather is too hot most of the year, and when is not, it rains. So, snow it's something like mythic.

I tried once to learn music online, but most of information is in English, mine is too basic to understand when someone talks on video. And, I can't understand music in my own language, worst in english, where musical notation is different (I mean, different names). In spanish musical notes are DO - RE - MI - FA - SOL - LA - SI... in english are C - D -E - F - G - A - B. When someone says "the tune is in E" (for example) I have to think and re-think trying to recall the corresponding note. So, it's a little bit harder.

Anyway, thanks for listening and comment!
Peace!

(Ps: It's a nice poem, but I like more Gustavo Adolfo Becquer's poetry ;) )

Hello ....

For someone, musical autodidact, I honestly think you're doing not bad at all .... This is a theme can be a bit repetitive, but the loops are used properly. It is true that MMM 2015 (or other), allows you to start easily, and to express themselves musically .... Aves you tried Samplitude or Music Studio, of Magix? A little more complex, certainly. Good luck for the future, you are on the right path .... I love what you have produced.

First, thanks for listen and comment... it's significative to me. To answer your question, no, I'm afraid that maybe Samplitude or Music Studio can be too difficult for me. Once I installed ProTools in my PC, and when I executed, it was like being in another planet. I could do nothing. So, music classes first, then the DAW.

Again, thanks for listen and comment!
Best wishes.

Well.. this is a fantastic piece of music. You said you used MAGIX to make this? I started out making music on magix and know its not the best software. So the fact you made this on it is incredible.

Im glad the loop gave you inspiration, but i only made a loop you built a whole incredible song around it so thats something to be proud of :)

Peace,

SoraSolitudine replied 26th Dec 2015 - 9 years ago
Yeah, I used Magix 'cause, as I said to asidRn, even FL Studio is too difficult for me. So, I find Magix easier to use. Maybe is because it works mainly with loops, so, it's more plain build the loops there, and then mix them in Audition. When I learn to compose, I will use a better DAW like Cubase, or ProTools or Reason.

Thanks for your loop, without it, this track wouldn't exist. So, thank you very much.

Greetings from Ecuador!

First and foremost this does not belong in the weird category because it is anything but weird. You have an ear for arranging sounds together to make a coherent song and in this one you have just been brilliant at it. I could go into a rational explanation of what I liked and what I might change (don't change anything BTW) but what I loved about this song is that it captured me for 10 minutes of my time with a cool spirit and energy that was a reminder of Christmas but something beautiful on it's own as well. This Holiday my wife is not well and spending it in the Hospital. As I leave the hospital everyday it takes a piece of my soul each visit. This song has helped me this christmas evening to feel better. And in any work that we may produce the ultimate goal is to touch people emotionally. This tune touched me this evening and I thank you for doing that. Have a great Christmas.

First, I hope your wife recovers her health. I know it's hard, but all will be ok. I'm sure of that.

I'm glad that you liked this track. Even with the disaster on EQ and the stuff that I didn't understand to asidRn, I'm happy that this melody have made you feel better.

Well, the first idea was to make a sad song, and I almost call this song "gloomy Christmas" or something dark. I'm glad have changed of mind.

If you want to thank someone, do it to Xyilent. Without his loop, I hadn't known how to start or what to do.

Well, all will be alright. Have faith.

Merry Christmas from Ecuador.

Hi!
Yes, I made an acapella called "Lament for the fallen hero", but I removed it 'cause there are too many parasite users here who download vocals, tracks and loops, but never share anything. So, why to share with people who doesn't?

Soleil, it seems like we both are into the same type of music. Being that I almost exclusively make the same exact type of music, I have a few suggestions that may improve what you're currently doing. The percussion you're creating is fantastic, though the strings and wind instruments seem a little too soft for me. I'd also suggest distorting your synth (wubwub) a little further, creating a duplicate track of it and changing the equalizer to cut out the high end to create a layered sound.

I would very much like to collaborate with you on something, send me a message if that might interest you.
SoraSolitudine
SoraSolitudine replied 24th Oct 2015 - 10 years ago
Thanks for the suggestions, but I know almost nothing about music. I mean, I don't know how to master a song. I don't even know how to compose. Stuff like EQ and so on are things that I can't handle yet. So, when someone talks to me on technical terms, I get confused. And, as I said on description, this track (and most ones of mine) were made on Magix Music Maker. The loops are from the SoundPools (from Magix); I didn't create them, only mixed them. Sorry for disappointing you, but is the true. I have no the enough knowledge to collaborate with someone yet, unless you want to work with a totally noob.

Thanks for listen.

You're just a wealth of information with these kontakt libraries! Downloading them all! I love hearing the different accents on here telling different stories. It makes the tales more realistic coming from all around the world. I guess I should've done a voting system for the competition. I think I'm just going to put all the entries in a hat and randomly draw one for the winner. I don't know a more fair way.
SoraSolitudine
SoraSolitudine replied 14th Oct 2015 - 10 years ago
I think that all people who upload tracks here are winners.

BTW, if you want more free Kontakt Libraries, I suggest you to download Clara's Vocal (http://stefanomaccarelli.com/factory/). It's free and it has a great quality. I suggest this 'cause I won't upload acapellas here anymore (I deleted my previous 'pellas). I received several criticisms and insults for saying that I don't want to hear my voice on hiphop/electronic (the reason is that one robber stole my voice to put in a bad-made remix and sell it; then I promised myself, never EVER hear my voice on electronic/hiphop music), even when I said that everyone was FREE to use my 'pellas in ANY project on ANY genre. I just didn't want to hear my voice in hiphop/electronic. It seems that people doesn't understand the difference between "using" and "showing".

Anyway... with Clara's Vocal you will have more than enough. :)

Well, the laugh at the end, and the background soundscapes are from a library for Kontakt called Welcome to my house. This library belongs to Herbertos Pad Collection 'Fantasya Dreamland' I & II.
I have that collection, and the other one called 'Oceanic Odyssey'. Both of them are free.
