Yo. I have my bass base reasonably well covered but there’s so much more I’d like to do with it. Since wanting to play fretless bass since about 14 or so, I’ve still never got one. I’m still interested in getting a small and light 4 string fretless ukulele bass (check them out).
And my active 5-string has sounded shit for ages. I have to play and edit carefully to get anything good out of it.
I probably have the bass base better covered when it comes to synth bass. And guitbass.
“Never expected you to listen to my loops”
Why not? I wasn’t planning to download any, just having a listen. Doesn’t take long.
Dirt is awesome but sometimes I don’t really like listening to it as it can be very depressing. Some of it sounds like pure drug hell. Rain When I Die is probably my fave – very uplifting and the main guitar riff is spectacular. The first 3 tracks are genuinely amazing. Doesn’t come much more badass than Them Bones and Damn That River.
Don’t forget to check Youtube for some Lane Staley acapellas. I think Them Bones might be on there and it sounds amazing.
Hope Tool don’t pad another album out with a few odd and dud tracks. I told you that if 10,000 Days was about 6 tracks long, it would be one of the best albums/EPs ever made. That is a scientific fact.
Maybe another album in 5 years. Let’s hope they’ve worked out how to incorporate some dubstep and that their sequencer will allow them to get down to 2BPM. I wonder if they use Fruity Loops. Or maybe they have their own custom version – Tooly Loops.
Evan, I am commenting here so I can contact you personally. I have a much larger catalog of acapellas posted here on looperman. All of which are of, in my opinion, quality and depth.
I simply wish you would have taken the time to look into my other work before being so harsh. If you would have read the description of "How did I get so Drunk" you would have clearly seen that it was written on a dare to do something funny, and was never meant to be of depth.
Before you criticize my work I would encourage you to listen to my other pieces. I think it would change your opinion of me.
If we have a misunderstanding in the forums, don't be a bitch and say things in private. If you have to balls to talk smack in the forums, the same balls should empower you to argue your point in the forum.
Again, I love poetry. You just boasted a bit much for what I heard. You are good at what you do, it's just not for me and I should have let it go. I have an itchy bitchy finger and have been a bit flippant before. For that I apologize, but if we have words in the forum, lets keep it there.
Hello Mr E, Like a bunch of your loops and haven't forgotten about you. I put together a looperman loops mix and found this loop you've shared to really connect some interest views I had out in the world this morning. I experimented with your loop (hope that's alright by you) applied time stretching and added distortion to achieve the direction I wanted go. Wonder what you think about the ideas that were tested with the mix. Shouldn't be hard to spot your loop it's the only sound with distortion amp on. It is different then how it sounds originally here. Did I take it too far? If you have some available time later and interested let me know what you think if you could.
Evisma, this bass is dope. Sped up or slowed down still rocks. Finally got something together with this loop and would like to read your opinions about it if interested. Had sped it up and thought it worked for the idea I had started out with. It still needs something else maybe you might have some good advice. Thanks for sharing, gotta go check out some more of that bass. Peace.
Hey Evisma..i just stumbled onto this one, and it immediately triggered some vocal ideas/melody/lyrics. I have a couple of verses done, and curious if you would like to hear what I have and if consider collaboration to flushout music/melody for a chorus? I was thinking something along the lines of Staind...how they balance cool mellow starts of a song and then run into a heavy/grungy vibe in the chourus. Sound appeal to you?
Great sound! Thank you for the upload. I am planning on using this in a song. Here is my link to where you can listen to your sound. https://soundcloud.com/iamall
Yo. Been listening to all your loops from the top of the list down. Lots of good stuff, as would be expected. Have to comment on this one as it really reminds me of Alice In Chains' kickass song Them Bones (main riff, I think). Track 1 from Dirt, undoubtedly one of the greatest grunge albums ever - almost the definition of grunge.
Switching bass loops to bass guitar loops and read your comment. Never expected you to listen to my loops, since you have that base well covered.
I love Dirt. Sickman, Them Bones, Damn That River, but Would is my favorite. Happy to hear that you appreciate that album too!
Tool released a statement saying they're done with 1, maybe 2 songs. They are mired in lawsuits over a friend doing album artwork, suing them, they got an insurance policy to protect them from the suit, then the insurers sued them. They are not allowed to comunicate! It'll be a few more years, but they said it'll be heavy.

This bass line remembered me of a song by Metallica called ''My friend of misery'' which you can find on the Black album.
This bass line right here carries you away to ''other places'' .
Pure awesomeness Sir!
Thnx for willing to share.
