It does have an old school feel with a Pan-african sort of uplifting sound. You need a karindula flowing through this. I like the bahn-jo intro. good song!. Also link your song in the forum to here, and not reverb nation, otherwise no one from here will review it.

Love this... I agree with Domenico there is a Kate Bush Quality to the Song. The simple arrangement of Piano with some effects is superb. ''Less is more'' applies to this song perfectly as it creates a mood very clearly for the listener and beckons for repeat listening. Good work!
"Less is more", you're right . But I'm always more or less happy with the way I translate what passes me through .
I'm very glad you enjoyed it and thank you warmly for your kind words .

You managed to combine a very homogenized Detroit techno sound with almost a hint of the Minneapolis sound from the late eighties. Which is an incredible achievement and makes a smile come upon my face. Nice work my Y(psilanti)-Town Friend.

Good stuff my friend, definitely felt a South African vibe here. chill and slightly jazzy as well.n I felt the emotions you had pour into the soul of this song!
Very nice piece you have sung over Charles Gounod's Ave Maria arrangement based on J.S. Bach'sThe Well-Tempered Clavier. My wishes are that ___B is back safe and sound soon . Although I am of like mind as doudei, I can appreciate and understand the sentiment and the wanting to express your missing his presence on looperman.
I forgot to say about this classic piece . Was so much taken by emotion . Thank you for having repaired the omission .
It's not really about expressing sthg _ this I keep for myself _ but more a way to send pure and loving vibes to our dear friend .
Thanks for having felt this .

Bloody Brilliant work! You definately captured that Vince Clark sound, (Yaz, depeche mode, erasure), and Bonnie's voice works well she sounds a bit like Johnette Napolitano from Concrete Blonde. Good work!

Hello Steve,
Thanks for your nice comments -I really appreciate it. Im not familiar with Concrete Blonde but i will definiately check them out later this evening. Take care and keep up the good things you do :)
Thanks man, that's a hell of a nice compliment. I don't know shit about theory or even scales, I am self taught and hearing that feels good. I could benefit from taking some lessons though. Maybe someday. As for sound, I am a bit obsessive with the sound and tone of instruments and overall mix. I sometimes spend more time working on getting a sound for a guitar or bass part than anything else.
Thanks again.
This is great. I normally hate fanfare sounds in music, but this works here very well &ironically;. This is musicianship on another level, plane, planet, zone (you pick a realm). Drums and percussion are mixed perfectly. and the way it ends. bowing out with a roll of percussion and a glissando from the fret-less bass. Marvellous performance.
Steve
Love this sound. I love the minor creepy Trent Reznor like bass-line that drives this piece, then you slowly add elements that soften the edge of that bass. Bonnie's voice is sublime, and your production enhances that. well done !
Hello Crucetus,
Haha Im actually very fond of Mr Reznors work... on several occasions in my happy Uni days I explored how well NIN mixed with Gin. Thanks for dropping by and keep up the good work.
It has a very sweet quality to it, almost more cinematic than chill. Like I could see this in an 80's movie with the main two characters falling in love montage. sounds very good musically.
